Why can't
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_S_Plus/GT-I9001#Stock_ROMs
Let's start from beginning:
I have Android 2.3.3 rooted and installed CWM, i need to know how to uninstall CWM in case of some repair, because warranty is lost then...
I searched and people told me I have to flash stock again, and that's why I am searching my original stock ROM

Or you could just flash the stock recovery from the wiki?

To unroot, flash the UnRoot-i9001-signed.zip
To go back stock recovery, flash the 9001_stock_recovery-signed.zip
Don't want to do all this, simply download a stock ROM that suit your region and flash with Odin 4.43 or upgrade your firmware by Samsung Kies.
All of the information you can get it from the Wiki page
Search from there I think all the information that provided in the wiki page is more than enough and easy to understand.
Ok, thanks, now I know
I am living in f***ing Serbia separated from the rest of IT world where everything comes last or doesn't come at all.
I don't have official Gingerbread above 2.3.3 so my only option is to backup my current ROM which is stock and to restore it one day if needed...

I said I need my stock ROM if anyone knows where to find it...
I gave PDA and CSC
But it doesn't matter, I will backup the current which is stock and save it if it's needed in future
Have you search in SamMobile Firmware?I found one,it have same PDA as you and the build date is September 2011,for more information you can check in SamFirm page.BTW,here the download link : http://www.hotfile.com/dl/156719871/41e0c70/I9001XXKI2_I9001SEBKH1_SEB.zip.html
I found it, but the CSC is not the same. Btw is CSC important to be the same?
I don't know,i still new to android & samsung rom.I think PDA is more important:silly:btw, only this rom has have same PDA as your.
CSC is the Country/Carrier Specific Code (not sure exactly which it is, both kinda make sense). It contains the files for customisation for specific networks, so will have the APN settings, maybe custom ringtones or backgrounds, and can have programs too. Some CSC files contain a lot more than others, hence the file size differences.
Mixing different PDA/PHONE/CSC files is certainly possible, although it might be best not to stray too far on the PDA and PHONE side. The CSC isn't really very important in most cases - at worst you'll probably just have to set up the APN manually

Ah. so it will flash the radio + Baseband to EU?
Also, one last question.
Were you able to flash back to 2.1 using the stock firmware? with odin?
I heard once you flash to 2.2 EU and you try to go back to 2.1 TMO you brick.

I just wanted to be 100% sure. Alot of people posting bogus firmwares. Great work. Does this do anything for the phone?
Can you give us a video? or something? as in whats better/benchmark etc.
I may flash it if its worth it. But, i prefer to wait on stock TMO if its nothing that crazy,

Eugene is a respectful developer and I'm pretty positive that his work is beautifully done and he wouldn't publish any "bogus firmware" in any form.
Start using the edit button rather than double posting =/
This is badass ill try it out tomorrow.
Does this run a lot snappier? Some of the Live wallpapers on the 2.1 are 'fidgety' when moving through screens
I'm a bit nervous to do this without a more detailed step-by-step instructions lol
Does this ROM have JIT? I had read some stuff about that not being in some of the roms that have been leaked.

Most likely it doesnt. This is based of the same EU 2.2 ROM that was showing low Linpack scores. Of course it is an APLHA or BETA build so thats to be expected.
Most update.zip's for the Vibrant at this point only FLASH System, Data ,data, and cache partitions. I don't think anyone had taken the time to test writing recovery or boot images though the update-script which is what tells the system what to do with the contents of the said update.zip.
Thats another reason they are so safe is that they dont replace the KERNEL/RECOVERY or BASEBAND/RADIO which is a safe move.
Good work Eurgene.
OP Updated with the ODIN file...

Extract the .zip file
Open ODIN Flasher, Select the Pit File.
Select Eugene373_GalaxyS_Froyo_PDA.tar

Hello, i have one piece I9000 running on 2.1 and flashed it with ODIN to 2.1 JPJG8. I now want to install lagfix on it. Can someone instruct me how to do it?
what type of lagfix do u want ? there is a simple one called 'one click lag fix' (OCLF) available in market. or there is voodoo or speedmod.. have a look in the android development section you will see them all in there

Which one to you recommend, im running on 2.1 version JPJG8? ALso, give me link...thank you.
Well checked the site you recommended and found OCLF ok...I wish to install Stock ROM using ODIN. After that can i just root the phone and then install lagfix?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=822756 - this is speedmod
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=823300 - this is voodoo
i use speedmod but i am not saying that is the best one, i have also used voodoo, they are similar but it all boils down to personal choice there is no best / worst
also read through the whole thread before going ahead with it, make sure its compatible with your device and make sure you know how to recover if something goes wrong.
Ok, thanks for the info bro...i'll check out your link

Lol, even I've forgotten mine because I bought it from Orange....I think all the 2.2.1 works...mine is I9000XXJPU(I've tried to flash I9000XXJPY, but failed )anyway, no need to recall back your original firmware, just take any 2.2.1 firmwares and flash it...but be careful, because there are possibilities to brick your SGS even though the risk is small....
Can you recommend any 2.2 european firmware i can flash with? I dont want 2.2.1 since i think its risky.

Guys - my Ace has developed a fault and needs to go back to be repaired under warranty - is there any way to flash an original Samsung ROM with Touchwiz etc so it's as it came out the box? I don't mean how do I flash it, I mean is there an original ROM anywhere that would make it as it came out the box?

EDIT: Just had a look. I don't suppose it matters which country you pick the ROM from does it, since they don't have three mobile from the UK anyway, only Vodafone, and that's 2.3.5, not 2.3.6 as the other countries listed have available?

Well said. Also, Odin isn't some homemade crappy software. It's acually a samsung flash tool made by samsung.
If it can't be updated by kies its probably OTA update.
