I am just wondering why don't we have a fully working Miui Rom for X8, i mean i love Miui very much beacouse it's great looks good, it's very customisable, has lots of themes and icons and so, and i am just asking why anyone hasn't managed to do it yet. I know that we have Miui from Xmaster8 and SHINxLIEW and i'm using them (currently i'm on HTX Miui), but they are not finished, and they are not updated frequently.
They are still developing it, though they are busy with their life

There are many problems with MIUI. It's not that easy as you think to make a MIUI rom.
We can do one thing only..."Wait & watch"
A miui rom is pointless thats why nAa and doxianh dont bother . They are aiming on developing the performance not the UI.

HTX MIUI, with supercharger and alfs8acm7 kernel
Go for HTX MIUI v1.0.0 nAa/alfs [24/7/2012] GB 2.3.7/CM7 ported to x8,
1. Its stable and visually appealing too.
2. You can use superchager script and make it even more fast.
3. go for Launcher pro launcher, the one that comes with the Rom is not so good.
4. make a folder by the name as 'theme' in Data\system inorder to have the themes working, but beware while using themes you dont apply the lockscreen that comes with the theme because they are created for HDPI phones and our X8 is a MDPI phone.

Was never a fan of miui (though i admit it looks nice). Dx and Naa probably opted to focus more on their own roms and more on performance rather than ui. Why not use their roms instead?
Edit: mockingbird probably meant that performance far outweighs ui/looks. Hence, "pointless." I have to agree. There are themes and launchers out there, anyway.

Everyone's opinions, likes and dislikes are different. Some love the UI others prefer performance. Both MIUI rom and nAa/Dx's rom are correct in their places..
nAa/Dx maybe don't develop MIUI because it is not possible to balance the performance of their rom with the highly customizable UI..

Hello everybody! I know the current android version is ICS. But , many people might stay in GB , mostly ARC users as there might be issues for many people.
So , i have made this ROM for all those who have chosen to stay in GB and like the new Xperia S software.
This Software has everything from the Xperia NXT series except for Lockscreen,Camera,Connectivity settings (isnt themed).
I have made this ROM based on a HDPI theme , to make it look like an original software unlike my Xperia S theme that had XHDPI statusbar icons.
It has no extra mods, themes, etc. The model number is 'LT35i' , to make it feel like an Xperia Arc HD. ^^ But it is very fluid and fast. Battery life is great.
And most importantly,i hope all of u would like my ROM as im new to developing. Please give me a thanks if u like this ROM. And also give me feedbacks on improving the ROM.
Installation:
1) Enter CWM.
2) Wipe data/factory reset.
3) install zip from sdcard.
4) select XperiaArcHD.zip
5) Reboot and ENJOY!
To download the ROM , click HERE .

Hey..sounds good. BUt wat kernel do i flash and what baseband do i use.???
send that and will give it a go..for now will try stock kernel...and kernel 64....
Regards
Awesomearc
any screenshot ... any features ... ??
is it stock based ? which build do you use as the base ??? or it is CM based ?
give us some information about your ROM plz
Yeah screenshot please.
It is based on the original build,2.3.4. But I changed the build.prop to make it look exactly like 2.3.7
For screenshots,i'll be posting them on Wednesday. U can use baseband -56 for, kernel, any kernel that's made for stock GB will do.
is it good for gaming like temple run or gta 3 ?

Best Xperia NXT ROM imo, others deviated from the purpose of making an NXT UI to adding their own tweaks like ugly battery mods and status bars, this one didnt. ;D
A few toggles in the next update WITHOUT any battery mods would look great.
And how about a patch for ARC S ?

Games run very well especially on DooMKerneL.
Some HD games like Mass Effect and Asphalt 6 are lagging on this ROM. :/

Well, mass effect is a great ram eater. Some parts of the game lags alot, and only smoothen out by using chainfire 3d

What is the fastest ROM for the Galaxy Mini?
I am currently using LilG by Squadzone but he seems to have went AWOL and I can't get updates so what is the smoothest fastest ROM with good battery life that is still continued and updated?
I don't really care about features I only really need it to text and play music now.

Hey guys.
I am using an ICS rom at the moment. I am currently on the NOVA HD Rebuild v1.1.0 and the kernel I am using is 3.0.33-NovaKernel-ICS-1.0.7.
The problem with this ROM is that it is extremely laggy. Is that a problem with all ICS roms and should I just go back to Gingerbread or is there another ROM which is not as laggy. I would like to use ICS on my phone for daily use without it being sluggish or slow. Thanks.
Paranoid is the best ICS Rom since 5 days I passed from cm7 to it and I love it. So stable 0 bsod and no lag

I'm using Paranoid with the stock kernel too, very nice.
Not sure if you've made the distinction between the actual rom or just the launcher which seems laggy.
I'm using LG UI 3.0 on Paranoid and for the moment there doesn't seem to be anything else that beats it in my opinion.
miui v4 2.6.1 by bihariel fast and customizable, I use it for two months. No lag, except that sometimes the camera is FC but this' common to all ics try.
MIUI v4 2.6.1 by Bihariel
kernel NOVA EDITION PURE beta1
Paranoid, i also suggest this, i use NOVA before and it was to laggy and cannot multi tasking at all,
Tried paranoid and now i will still stay with it.
(Build 5 coming soon, with some jelly bean theme temporary, hope the dev can morp in the CM10 soon)

Just follow the instructions (you'll need root explorer: linked)
sorry for the late reply.
I have indeed started using the Paranoid ROM and it is not laggy at all, maybe a little unresponsive but overall it is fine. Better than NOVA. What kernel are you guys using? I guess I want one which supports voodoo (I am not sure if voodoo has support for it in ICS).
In my opinion they all lag, especially when opening the drawer.
Paranoidandroid was the smoothest from the one I've tested and it's lag is so subtle from time to time, that it does not bother me.
So from all I've tried now Paranoid build 5, stock kernel and Ram manager or advanced task killer is totally good to go for daily use.
Had only one hot reboot since I'm using it.
I am using paranoid build 5. In my opinion its the best among all ICS ROMS.No lag No unexpected shutdowns.Im loving it here is the thread.

1. Use CM10 lite by bieltv.3
The beta 2 version is pretty good and stable, camera, hq video playback, google now (voice search) not working.
119 MB, along WITH Gapps.
2. Use CM10 beta 3 by bieltv.3
Camera now works, camcorder slightly laggy. Flash doesn't work yet.
128 MB without Gapps, remove apps you don't want. Gapps not included so you can flash the ones you want.
3. Use C.A.M.P.S. (CM10+AOKP+MIUI+Parandroid+Sony) (!!!!) ROM by anurag pandey
It's still in beta testing phase. It's a rom for HD2 ported to the SGA. Some features like Aroma Installer not working (never gonna; HD2 --> Ace ?!?)
Doesn't work properly yet, still highly recommended.
Hope I helped!
I think is too soon to try a ICS/JB rom for daily use so give a try to stock CM 7.2 (stable as a Samsung Rom) or a custom based on stock one. These roms will work quite good without problems. This is only my opinion.
