Now, I installed some 10 apps. and then play store tells me that there is insufficient storage...
I checked titanium back, and sd card (a2sd) is full, but internal storage still has 3.7 gb free.
How do i fix this..
Please hellpp~

so is this normal??
having only a 180 mb partition when i did a 4gb partition??
i see that apps are only installing to the 180 mb partition not to the internal memory by amarullz script.

Are you using CM7? If yes go to Settings>CM Settings>Application Moving>Allow and choose Internal. Something like that. Just find it coz I'm not using CM7 right now.
Have you enabled "Use Jit" in performance settings?
I read that it was important for app2sd..

Nope. It's disabled in default in Apocalypse but I can use S2E, Amarullz, Cronmod.

Hi,
i just installed Titanum Backup on my Captivate and it says:
System Rom: 289 MB (40 MB free)
i don't know why is showing this i thought that our captivate has 2 GB ROM !
Now i just have 40 mb left and i dont know where are my 2 GB...
Thx
Look one more line down. See where it says the Internal is 2.01GB (or something close to that number). That's the 2GB you're referencing.
thx, i know that, so what System Rom means?
why if the System Rom gets full i can not install more apps? its just for the OS?
It is just for the OS and anything you install as a system app. When you download a program from the market it goes to the Internal.

ROM = READ ONLY MEMORY
Yes, OS and some system apps. Not ones you download from market or other sources.
It's actually Electronically Erasable Programable Read Only Memory in old tech speak, EEPROM, which doesn't need a battery to keep info. It's what you 'flash' when you run minikies, odin, etc.
All the applications and data you add are stored in another type of static memory (internal or on an sdcard) that also doesn't need a battery to keep info.
To actually run programs, they get loaded from the previous types of memory into faster random access memory (RAM or ' system memory')
that only works when battery power is available. When you reboot your phone, typically by turning its offer and on, the RAM is cleared of any memory. You can't also check ram usage and free up parts of ram with task manager. Press and hold the home key and you wlll get a button for task manager. Click it, then select the RAM tab and you will see.
You've got all of those types of memory in the captivate.

The /system (ROM) partition is on the same nand as /data (internal storage, where user apps are installed) and /sdcard, they're not separate types. Just mounted differently, you need superuser permission to remount the "ROM" partition read/write
Duh! Of course, it's all on the one 16 GB ROM. And then there is the 1/2 GB of RAM.

This happended many times, in my phone with many other applications..., when I had built-in 4.0.3 ICS, so I thought of upgrading it 4.0.4 will solve the problem, but still, this happens...

Is your sd-ext partition format in ext4? What is the amount of Mb (R/W speed) tweaked to your sdcard?
Class 10 is always better than 2,4,6....
And IMO int2ext4+ is always better than link2sd using whichever sdcard class xDDDDD

Checked , its disabled
Just for making sure there's no swap file or partition on SDCARD I've unmounted the sdcard and used terminal again ,same result 34mb swap is enabled, so it might use system or data partition?

This. Disable zram, reboot, and check again. That is if you're 100% sure you dont have a swap file/partition.

As you can see in the screenshots above, I can't understand how partitions really works, I have ~985 MB of free /cache storage, ~500 MB free /system storage, and 1.1 GB on /data, this according to Partition Table App. A total of 2.5 GB of free storage.
But in the other hand, in my settings, I only have 1.1 GB of free storage(this I think would be /data).
I'am aware that partitions are somewhat limited, but I really have 2.5 GB of free storage? Moving apps to /system is the best option for more usable free storage?
And if I have almost 1 GB of free cache storage, why do i receive warnings about apps not going to work when I reaches ~900 MB of free storage in /data?

With internal & system memory mixed as in the current motos w/o SD cards, it is all the same "pool" of storage. Also fstrim is now keeping that memory clean & defragmented.

Thanks for the reply.
So, the internal memory is placed dynamically, so I can use all the space?
