Hi Guys,
A newbie here and of course I'm in trouble. HTC One International version.
Few weeks ago I unlocked the bootloader by HTC One Toolkit 1.9.3 and HTCDEV unlock token.
Installed CWM Mod Tuuch recovery.
Now I receive the E: Can't mount error with CWM...hence CWM won't also root the phone so it's Unlocked but unrooted.
Anyway, yesterday came the 4.3 OTA update...I downloaded and automatically tried to install it. It reboots to CWM and then of course get's stuck into CWM as it can't mount SD or anything...
Also for a strange reason whenever I go to Fastboot Windows 8 won't recognize the USB device...tried installin the HTC drivers, installed and uninstalled and installed again HTC Sync manager but still nothing...tried different USB cables, different USB ports..still nothing
What should I do to get CWM working and install the OTA?
The phone does boot to 4.2.2. ROM and works fine but as the OTA is downloaded is whines every now and then that I should install the update which I can't do..
Download an up-to-date recovery.img from the cwm thread and flash it via fastboot. There are several tutorials out there how to do that. Hope it will help

HI...thanks...tried that alreayd...CWM and TWRP both but fastboot isn't working. I guess it's due to win 8.1 I'm using. I've tried all the latest HTC drivers I've found here but still fastboot isn't recognizing the USB device...

Yes. Anyway...I managed to install TWRP recovery on another computer with win7 so definitely win 8.1 problem on my computer..
However...can you tell me how to flash the OTA update? TWRP fails to do so as I was afraid...I understand I need to have stock recovery to flash OTA:..where can I get this? and I hope I can flash the stock recovery by HTC toolkit?

Oh man... that's too bad..
The question, I ask myself, is: Why do you tried to played with bootloader and recoveries when you want to install OTA updates??
Press Power+VolumeLower at the same time till you get into bootloader. Does that work?

That's the question I keep asking myself....
Actually I thought of trying custom ROM. But then as the CWM had errord I had not the time to fiddle with that. So I thought that when I have time I'll deal with that.. Then came the update and surely I wanted to try the new 4.3 and Sense....
I guess now I need to have the time to deal with this..

If you are using Linux, run fastboot with "sudo", if you are on Windows open cmd as Adminstrator..

Select 'Recovery' to boot into it.
Choose 'Mount' and check 'System'
Now try adb shell to check, if you have access to your Phone. If you have so, download a ROM, for example AICP, which I prefer, and copy it to your sd with this commad:
Code:
adb push C:\Path\to\you\rom.zip /sdcard/rom.zip
If this completes successfull go to the homescreen of twrp -> Install and choose this zip file.
For AICP you have to flash GApps after you flashed the ROM. I'll provide you the links:
AICP: http://tunsd.de/downloads/ICJ/AICP/m7ul/aicp_m7ul_jb-mr2_unofficial_2013-10-19.zip
GAPPS: http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20130813-signed.zip
Push both zips to your sdcard as I described above and flash them in the priority I put the links..
Sorry for my bad english, Im at work.. -.-"

@wrecklesswun, here you go. --> https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B15sKU9JEz4CbHRzVVZvRFdRUGM/view?usp=sharing
You can restore it by putting the file on the root of your sd card and using a root shell. And entering.
Code:
dd if=/sdcard/recoveryfilestock.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p36
OR
If youre lazy as long as you have adb installed you can download this extract it and click RunMe. It will restore stock recovery and then reboot you into recovery.

You can build TWRP for the Turbo and flash it all day. Wouldn't work though as it fails the signature checks from the boot loader. You need an unlocked boot loader for a custom recovery to work.

That's what I thought and was just confused why someone else said we could flash. *Shrug* is use my Turbo as a daily driver so I can't poke at it any like I did the DNA when we got that unlocked.

@aviwdoowks, yes exactly. He needed to restore the stock recovery on his turbo. Even with WP on as long as you're root you can dd an image to any partition other than system. I simply packaged shell, su request and dd commands into an executable bat file that flashed stock recovery.

Is it possible to boot into custom recovery without actually flashing it? Used to do it on other devices but it was a long time ago? I need to edit build.prop to enable multi user but don't want to do any other changes to my phone. Like unlocking bootloader etc. Many thanks.

If I remember correctly, twrp image must be in ADB folder and then:
fastboot boot recovery [name_of_twrp].img
or
fastboot boot [name_of_twrp].img
Tell me please back which one was right
Doesn't seem to work for me, stuck on waiting on device and nothing happens. Do you need unlocked bootloader to do this?
