Deleted some bloat, now phone process crashes causing reboot - HTC Vivid, Raider, Velocity

I am hating this phone about now.... Grrr. I put the deodexed att stock rom on, installed eqs, and epm, a custom uot theme, then installed all my apps from the market, restored all data to the apps with tb, then deleted bloat, wiped cache, and now phone process crashes for no freaking reason... This phone sucks
What did i do wrong?

You must have deleted something important. Reflash will fix your problem.
Dont know how I liked your post lol, but here is one more thanks for the thanks meter.

I wiped data and it works again

Was i not supposed to delete tethering guard? I thought that's what blocked tethering but now it seems it doesn't work at all

This phone is amazing. It's HTC and AT&T that suck.

Rogers raider app freezing

Hey all, I'm just wondering what apps are safe to freeze with titanium?
I've never tried this before and I'm looking to cut down on resource usage in an effort to increase my battery life. LTE, music and surfing during my commute have me at about 30-40% by lunchtime.
Aside from freezing apps, can anybody recommend anything besides a battery app, or should I give juice defender another go?

I currently have a bunch frozen in testing....and I have deleted all the rogers apps, pre installed games...and anything that was preinstalled from the marketplace ie: adobe reader, adobe flash.
Give it another week and I can update you on all the apps I have frozen that should be safe.

I'm on AT&T, so I started by deleting all their bs. Then I removed the 1/2 of carrier iq that was available to remove. But I haven't frozen anything. Curious to see your list!

No internet connection after official ICS update

Guys,
I just installed the official ICS update using HTC sync. My phone was completely stock. After the update, it cannot connect internet using mobile network even though I have strong 4G signal. Do you guys have any idea what is going on?
Thanks in advance.
Sounds like your apn got messed up go to your apn and restore defaults and then reboot see if that helps

I did that several times and even reflashed the update but none worked. Called att, apparently my data plan was for my old phone, Blackberry...
Weird though, before the update the internet was fine.
Yes it is glad you got it fixed

Thanks for posting! This is the only app of this purpose that works as I would expect it to.
I too was prompted after 10 days or whatever to pay for use afterward, so I clicked the button to allow me to pay for it, and the dialog just went away, and the service still works... How exactly is this charging me, if it is?
To follow up, it turns out thY it stopped working. Clearing the app data doesn't restore functionality. Clicking subscribe doesn't do anything either. Oh well.

I know that reflashing your ROM will restart the cityid free trial. Maybe just clearing cache and dalvik cache will restart it? Maybe manually clearing /data/data/com.cequint.ecid and allowing it to rebuild will restart it?
If I'm paying for it then went to a non sense rom how can I cancel it

Actually if you clear the data with Titanium, it will start over without having to reflash the rom
Clearing the dalvik cache works too.

I run stock, but, I'm rooted and s-off, main reason is WiFi tether, after that is just to fix little bugs here and there, the awesome devs here usually fix them before HTC even knows about them..

I am rooted cause I like to customize my phone and also I like features you get with custom roms and kernels. And every once in a while flash some Aosp.

I always root for wifi tether and ad blockers. Usually run stock roms.
The "gain" quite simply is root access to be able to run certain apps that u cant run without root. Some people take it further than others. Your not gunna change the world if u root your phone
Sent from my SPH-L900 using xda app-developers app
Root =
Wi-Fi tether
Remove bloat ware (Sprint apks)
Ad blockers
Create backup
Prevent ota (so you can do them as you choose)
Kicks / customization
The sky is the limit
Root = more options.
Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk 4
keep flashing custom and stock
custom gives me android 4.3 which i want but it has a couple bugs so i keep going back to stock haha.

[Q] Call Problems CM10.1.3-RC

Flashed cm10.1 release candidate today. Everything seemed fine, then I discovered I wasn't receiving calls and wasn't able to make calls either. Anybody have any similar issues? Anyone have any suggestions as to what I may have done to cause this or if there are any settings I may need to change? Please help. Thanks in advance.
I literally just had this problem and spent the past 5 hours with useless tech support.
Don't call Sprint tech support, they just end up doing something on their end that makes you lose your texting and data, too. They ****ed me so hard I have to go into a repair center.
I can't even get another phone correctly activated in the meantime to use as a placeholder.
I'm just as lost as you are, too.
Try ##786# menu and reset. Make sure you are in a good signal area, this will do hands free activation and update prl.

The problem with trying that is the phone number and MSID fields are now blank, and going into the other dialer menu ##221542# and setting them that way doesn't stick past the reboot it forces when you try and apply those.
Maybe try following this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=45055982
Sent from my HTCONE using xda app-developers app
Tried that a couple different times with a couple different tech support reps, each time the phone number and MSID don't stick afterwards.
Sorry I tried, I don't have any other ideas. Hopefully someone else can help.

My older phone is finally activated (took well over an hour for calls and data to come back to it, by far the longest I've ever seen a phone take). So at least I have a phone again.
Good luck OP, I'm going to visit a Sprint store tomorrow to see what they say. Report back in on whatever it is you try and what you find does/doesn't work.
Did you try set ril.class to HTCCDMAQUALCOMMRIL in the build.prop

Posting again instead of editing for the sake of the bump.

It didn't do anything. I'm heading to a Sprint store right now.

Back from the Sprint store, the rep I had happens to be a flasher like one of us. I explained to him what had happened and he got right to ordering me a new phone after a $50 deductible.
So, OP, we were both SOL. The MSID had gotten corrupted (similar to how in the early days of the Galaxy S3, it had a chance to lose its ESN) and couldn't be re-written. Only thing to do is get a replacement.
