LG-P999 Otimus 2x gingerbread update

Any news out there for the gingerbread update LG-P999 Optimus 2x, I heard that we should get it early October, my patience as limits, I'm getting sick of waiting, if we don't get the update in the next week, this phone is going up on eBay and I'm buying the Google Nexus Prime with ICS already installed.

I am gonna wait for a couple more weeks, to see if they release the gb update.
If not i will be selling up and go for the nexus prime too, had enough of all this waiting.

finaly got sick and got me and my wife samsung GT-I1900 galaxy s2's yesterday given o2x to my little girl so i will still pop in and look to see if lg ever come through..

Curious Guy here

So I just picked up the Rogers p925g,and was pretty stoked about after killing my sgs.why was I stoked? Because my old LG optimus one had been running ics for a while now so I assumed seeing this phone is way better spec wise that there would be ics of some form for the p925g.
Now am I just not looking in the right spot or is there really no ics/cm9 or aokp development for this phone Id hate to have to return it...going back to gingerbread really does hurt me LOL.

Says hut true. The cm9 Dev says he doesn't have proper audio drivers. So we have to wait or LG to release source, or a better dev that can port it over

They say it is in testing. When an if they release it is still a mystery.
They promised third quarter of the year.
We'll have to wait till the end of September to see if they keep their word.

It's a very windy day...

LG promised the 3rd quarter for the LG Optimus 3D not the Thrill. If ICS were to come out for the optimus 3D, we would still have to wait for AT&T to release their official version of the ICS update for the Thrill. That version mite take a little longer to be released :\

i would actually prefer that i get the correct version for my P925, not just a simple port. Thats just my opinion.

Update to v21e and you'll be set to use any ROM here and on the Optimus 3D development page. It'll get rid of your bloatware

If you are rooted just get root manager and you can uninstall all the rogers crap. Exactly what i did and i flashed a new kernel and now it flies!!!

I never used an lg phone ... I'm waiting to see how optimus g comes up.
But then i saw this forum and totally empty development section.
Why no one develops for this phone?
Having an active xda forum is very important for me. You can't rely on manufacturers official updates...

Yes, in Ice Cream Sanwich LG locked all phones.

Spec is pretty nice (of course not the top) but im wondering what a price would be for this.

No beacause it's also four core and there are no big hardware (chipset) differents between the two phone.

You really think they'll update ours? Would be great if we see 4.2 directly, but I doubt we will.

LG is finally heading in the right direction in the smartphone world. With its build quality, LG should be atop of the Smartphone war pretty soon.
