I never used an lg phone ... I'm waiting to see how optimus g comes up.
But then i saw this forum and totally empty development section.
Why no one develops for this phone?
Having an active xda forum is very important for me. You can't rely on manufacturers official updates...

Yes, in Ice Cream Sanwich LG locked all phones.

and Romwiz, therez not gonna be any official update from LG on ICS. LG canada denied it and LG India confirmed it. since these are from two totally different hemispheres of the globe, we may well conclude that OB will not get ICS.

We all hope they do it, but I don't think you know that they took a lot of time to gave to Optimus Black (and not only this one) Gingerbread...

Spec is pretty nice (of course not the top) but im wondering what a price would be for this.

i started with repacking images and making flashable zips.
It's hard but worthwhile and fun.
I started rooting in 6th grade haha

Um I started since the G1. I got my Recognized Developer badge thingy when I was 16. Now I'm 17. Maybe the youngest Recognized Developer? I'm not sure lol.
Searching on XDA for guides is a good place. I learnt on MoDaCo with a rubbish ZTE Blade.

To build flashable zips you don't need software. You can use any old template. Just learn how to script and your all good to go

I wish we'd get a better kernel from LG.My friend have an xperia z and it's kernel version is around 3.4ish.Even with a lot of apps installed there are 0 UI lags.His phone isn't even rooted.

Guys, am I missing something or is this the 4x HD section? 'cause as far as I can remember, this section is about the LG Optimus 4x HD, and not about the Oprimus G.
