Time to say goodbye!

TOday, I have sold my optimus black.
Sadly, I will not contribute much on P970 thread in xda in the future. However, I am happy to share my experience when using P970 if you want to listen...
This is my first smart phone for daily use...
What's more, I would like to thank all the developers and members. Without their contribution, I cannot try so many wonderful and powerful ROMs like Marvel and Zeus... I would like to thank Redy, Huexxx... They are so kind to answer my questions. Zeus is the best ROMs that I have tried.
Now, I am still considering which is the next smart phone will be.
I think galaxy nexus or optimus 2X are the good choice.
Any ideas?

Your choices are galaxy nexus and LG 2X ? Galaxy is like twice the price of an optimus 2x (atleast in my country). Still, I'm not even going to talk about LG's technical phone support...I would choose galaxy nexus even without a need to think about it.

Both are too expensive for me.
Besides, Nexus is so reasonable price in my country, just the same with the optimus 2X

Seems that prices in my country are so different with yours. Galaxy nexus is 40 euros more expensive than Sony Xperia S !? SGS 2 is is priced at 480 euros, which is the same as the Sony.
But ridiculously cheap is SE arc s (290 eur), which is cheaper than OB originally was last summer.
If i could i would change my ob to arc s any time.

Let you tell your the truth of in my country.
Both 2X and Nexus are US$400. Are they too expensive?

yeah... but with power comes reaponsibility as uncle Ben said to a little spidey and lg shows no signs of responsibility at all....

To be honest the only reason for not selling my OB is the great developers(even if not many in number), and the community. It haven't been an easy ride at all, and it is all LGs fault of being slappy and improve.
And that will definitely be my last LG item (phone,tv,etc) for a long while.
I would personally go with the nexus or if price is not to high with the Samsung Note.

I would look for the galaxy nexus or the htc one s not the x (i'm also looking to buy the one S)
I still think htc is more reliable then lg and samsung… but that's my opinion

LG O2x vs Sony Xperia P

Hi guys, got offer to exchange my Optimus for Xperia P. Just wanted to know what do you think. I checked many reviews, but still cant decide. Is Xperia P better than Optimus 2x? I usualy use my phone for games, music and calls/text. Can Xperia P handle newer games good? Thanks for any response

Well had both also... O2X performs better... More fun also... And display is miles miles better.

Maybe you forgot that lg optimus 2x was lg flagship and sony xperia p is mid end phone so it is like a ferrari f430 and mercedes c63

I have both and I think Xperia P is the correct choose, better camera, better display and official JB support.
Walkman and Album apps are awesome and better call sound than my old optimus 2x.

I'd choose the P too. It will get Jelly Bean, has more RAM, and probably a better camera. I personally like their stock ROMs more too.

o2x best display better than amoled, good power,camera,vast community support
but also a 3 year old phone, less ram.
p dont hav power like o2x,but gud for daily use.if o2x giving u prob go for p. but if it dont stick with it,still one of the best and after custom ics and few mod to camera app ready to rock again

O2x is still better in my opinion.. because is have much more community support like here on xda..

Yes, Xperia P's display is not a IPS or AMOLED but It has whitemagic technology (RGBW pattern) and more resolution.
Optimus 2x is more powerful but Xperia P is better for smartphone use (or multimedia use).
I'm not a fanboy but seriously, get the Xperia P, or wait for a new Xperia 2013

Seems like you people dont know that all 2012 Lg androids are getting JB the next month.. And o2x is far superior device..and u cant live with only 13Gigs space i guess

Pathetic fanboy. Only L9, L7 and 4X are getting JB.
Also, just go to gsmarena and compare specs, you can see the P is better.

Yea i like LG devices.. I have a Xperia U too, but i don like it much.. P's screen is overbright and color saturation is not perfect.. And yea Sony service is s#!t.. I know because my xperia was f#=ced up once, and couldn't sort it out..

definitely xperia, i have optimus 2x for 2 years and i still can't find rom without problem, even the stock rom is full with bugs

Good decision

anything is better than this peice of crap, lack of support from LG with regards to "keeping up with compatibility" and maximizing their phone users experience. NULL AND VOID!.
and to make it worse. the battery time is enough to make you cry. especialy when you wish you saved for a s3 instead. =( but your right i did want to have the 1st dualcore phone =( payed hefty for it 2

Friend has xpera p but not as good as the 2x.
games running better on 2x, stronger hardware, etc.
the sony might has better support but who cares, we have xda :laugh:

I love my o2x,very good hardware and wolfson dac.Only issue is the battery but with help from devs it is ok.

When i was about to buy a new phone, i had the same 2 phones in mind. I tried both in a store and finally bought the RAZR I. When you hold the lg in your hand, it feels like cheap and plastic...but the ri feels much better...

ok but how about the screen? 4.3'' is with or without this 3 buttons?

I had a choice between the very same phones. Do like the 4X but it all boiled down to battery life and the rugged ness/ splash proofing for me. I definitely made the right choice and can't fault the phone apart from not being able to move apps to external SD without modification.

With buttons but on fullscreen like YouTube they disappear

I compared three phones: HTC One S, Galaxy Nexus and Razr i. The Razr i has the best signal strength, battery life and building quality. I´m very happy with my decision

I have both of them and i would go for LG 4x HD only if you like to read alot on the phone(big screen).
Razr I already has. 4.1.2 and LG is on 4.04. The build quality on razr I is alot better.
In my opinion both are great but if you drop your phone alot, Razr I will last longer.

As i know and in the most german magazin test the 4x is better then the nexus, but the nexus is directly from google and get sbetter support (like official 4.2 for nexus and only 4.12 for 4x wich is btw older) but the nexus 4 got more ram then 4x (2Gb i think?)
our 4x got a bigger display cause of no softkeys..
both got a quadcore (Cpu are close similary)...
but NExus got a better Gpu...
And one think i really like and need: the nexus got NO external sd!! only internalstorage!!

i had the same question which to buy and i decieded for the 4x cause it is much more cheaper
and cause of the above ;D
