Motorola RAZR i or LG 4X HD? - RAZR i Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone, which from this two phones would you recommend?

AW: Motorola RAZR i or LG 4X HD?
When i was about to buy a new phone, i had the same 2 phones in mind. I tried both in a store and finally bought the RAZR I. When you hold the lg in your hand, it feels like cheap and plastic...but the ri feels much better...

ok but how about the screen? 4.3'' is with or without this 3 buttons?

I had a choice between the very same phones. Do like the 4X but it all boiled down to battery life and the rugged ness/ splash proofing for me. I definitely made the right choice and can't fault the phone apart from not being able to move apps to external SD without modification.

With buttons but on fullscreen like YouTube they disappear

Hi there,
I compared three phones: HTC One S, Galaxy Nexus and Razr i. The Razr i has the best signal strength, battery life and building quality. I´m very happy with my decision

Odp: Motorola RAZR i or LG 4X HD?
Im more confused now... I really dont know which should i take.

I have both of them and i would go for LG 4x HD only if you like to read alot on the phone(big screen).
Razr I already has. 4.1.2 and LG is on 4.04. The build quality on razr I is alot better.
In my opinion both are great but if you drop your phone alot, Razr I will last longer.

Hello everyone
I just bought a LG 4X HD and therefore I want to ask if you know if there is going to be a forum for this phone.
I hope it's okay to ask such a question in this forum

I also have the 4x HD since a week now and i`m totally happy with it. It`s really fast and smooth. No reboots or other failures til now. And i already gained one update last week from v10a to v10b. Maybe they`ve learned to update regularly. Well, we`ll see it in the future.
I think it will take some time until there is a real fanbase and some devs.

Buying a 4x after a 2x can only be called naive.
Buy me 4x and i will start development kidding never mind. Soon you will have dev section. Contact mod to open a 4x section

Hey, can you install apps on the micro sd card or transfer app data onto the external sd? I heard the SGS3 can't.
Thanks for all the answers ! I appreciate it.
I am very satisfied with the phone, because of the nice interface and especially the big HD screen
I know that some of you think it is stupid to buy a LG phone after the LG Optimus 2x, but I actually had a 2x before which had a lot of bugs. I was lucky to get my money back which resulted in buying a Lumia 800. But the Windows Phone was to boring and I missed Androids many functions. The reason for I bought a LG again was because I liked the 2x, and when I saw the 4x for the first time I wanted it. The 4x is in fact also about 200 dollars cheaper than the Galaxy s3 and the One X, here in Denmark.
I know that the phone is only available in about 11 countries right now.

The browser is nice and very fast, actually almost faster than my pc, but it is not perfect.
I think the battery is about average, I can use it for about 6 hours with very heavy usage as browsing, video and so on. I bought it three days ago, so I haven't tried the battery on a normal day but I think that it can last for at least a day.
The screen is outstanding, I love it and it was the main reason for buying this phone. The price is also good for a such a nice phone
I have noticed that it sometimes uses a lot of ram even though I don't use many apps at the same time, but after a while it gets normal again. It has resulted in some lag one time, but I made a factory reset and haven't noticed it anymore and it works like a charm now
So I think you should buy it because it is an incredible phone with a very good price, but you must have in mind that it is a LG and therefore be prepared for the worst.
But I am very satisfied with it and will never change it for a s3, one x or another high end smartphone.

The screen on this phone is much better than the 2x's screen ,it is in fact better than the Samsung Galaxy S3, well that is what the reviewers say and I totally agree
The screen is perfect for reading, browsing and watching video on. The screen is sharp and colourful.

I can't compare it with a IPhone because I have never owned one.
The loudspeaker can get very load but unfortunately the sound clarity looses quality when it is on full.
But I think the sound quality is perfect when it is connected with headphones and you can actually press at a bottom with is named Dolby Mobile that makes the sound clearer and it is actually like the option "surround" on the LG2X. But this function is only available when connected with headphones.
I can compare the sound quality with a Lumia 800, and say that the sound quality on this phone is a level or two better
Best regards

It's mainly the past 2 years that I've been swapping and changing, I will swap out again once the Panasonic Eluga Power is released.
Didn't really get on with the S3, not sure what it is with it but just couldn't find any love for it.

AT&T Optimus G to AHD?

Hey I just purchased the optimius g for att and am thinking about exchanging it for the ahd since it has jb now and its only a penny at best buy.. Just wondering if anybody else has switched and regretted it or are happy with their decision?
Sent from my LG-E970 using xda app-developers app
Haven't messed with the Optimus G. But the battery life on the AHD is superb with the EB40. Can't speak for everyone, but I've had absolutely no performance or battery issues with it. The lack of an unlocked bootloader kinda sucks but stock feels so clean. It's a matter of opinion.
Sent from my Jellybeaned Atrix HD MAXX
Optimus G is nexus 4 without the thermal issues. since you're considering the atrix hd I assume you don't care too much about roms, so that shouldn't be an issue.
in short, don't do it.
The Optimus G and Atrix HD share a common thread - development and the lack thereof. You won't see a plethora of hacks out there for them nor should you expect to. Go with the device that, for you, provides the most bang for your buck. The Atrix is crippled by low internal memory that cannot be fixed without rooting.
Atrix HD is a awesome device with lack of rom development, that is the only issue I have.
Thanks guys sorry I couldn't get back to anybody yesterday... I do like to flash ROMs but mainly to get to a stock like feel.. the ahd pretty much already has that for me.. I usually only have about a a gig of apps... even now with all my apps back on the phone... music and videos I still have 2gigs of internal memory left.. I liked the OG but I hated the Ui and the glass back cracking from temperature change was something I didn't want to deal with so I made the exchange. I would like root to get rid of the bloat instead of just disabling though.. is that achievable with jb yet? Other than that the only thing I plan on doing is the eb40 swap and I should be happy for now lol...

As i know and in the most german magazin test the 4x is better then the nexus, but the nexus is directly from google and get sbetter support (like official 4.2 for nexus and only 4.12 for 4x wich is btw older) but the nexus 4 got more ram then 4x (2Gb i think?)
our 4x got a bigger display cause of no softkeys..
both got a quadcore (Cpu are close similary)...
but NExus got a better Gpu...
And one think i really like and need: the nexus got NO external sd!! only internalstorage!!
Yeaht thats it,
i had the same question which to buy and i decieded for the 4x cause it is much more cheaper
and cause of the above ;D
hope language is okay ^^
Thanks, that is the info I needed .

I lost my LG O2X

Well, yesterday I lost my LG O2X , could someone recommend me which phone to buy to replace it? among the options I have are: Samsung Galaxy S2 (2011) or Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini (2012), I have no more budget right now, thanks.
S3 mini is not worth it, has lesser hardware than the S2. Even if lots of people say "LG never again" I'd suggest the p930. It's pretty cheap and very powerful, and it has official and stable cyanogen mod support.
If you can save a bit more you could go for the Xperia S or Motorola droid RAZR (which is water/dust/hit proof).
