The following is a dopod mail reply contents, true tmd sweat! Not everyone of says that they are idiocies!!!Really did not bend to say them.
699 oneself is to get to the Internet through the GPRS network, do not need to circumscribe other networks to equip
But if you is want to let you of cellular phone receive nokia etc. device to get to the Internet up the link, our cellular phone is a function that didn't provide this aspect.

Hi there.
Have just gotten my new Kaiser (Tytn II) and connected it to my service provider (Telenor in Sweden).
Having some difficulties streaming video and audio and after doing some reasearch on google and xda-dev it seems that this is due to Telenors crappy network.
I made a change to my service and for now I am using the APN called "public.telenor.se". According to Telenor, this gives me a public IP on my mobile, and now I can stream media as well.
However, they charge an extra 50SEK (~5€) for this per month.
So now to my question, is there any way to see what IP I have been assinged on my gprs connection?
Does anyone else know of a different solution to the streaming media problem with Telenor in Sweden?
You can use a program like 'vxutil' to see the IP address assigned to you by your cellular provider for your GPRS connection.

Works like a charm, thanks!
And yes, it would seem that I have gotten a public IP on my phone now.
The problem I had was "Failed to connect to network" when I tried to stream media using HTC's stream player.
Has anyone else had this problem, and is there any other solution than getting a public IP on your phone?
I was wondering if theres a program for windows mobile or a way to automatically configure network settings for a wireless network. For example, my school has a wireless network setup but it requires a software package which is not available for wm6 to connect to the internet. I found a simple workaround; all you have to do is to manually change the DNS address . However, when I change the DNS address for use at school, the internet obviously no longer works at home since windows mobile is using the same DNS setting on the WLAN adapter no matter what wireless network it sees. I know my old Nokia N80 and the iPhone have software that allow you to configure settings for each network so that the connection is seamless, so there HAS to be someway to do the same thing for wm6. Thanks in advance!
Wifi Profiles
never tried myself, but here on the forum is a tool for different wifiprofiles
hope that helps
cheers
PhoneAlarm
PhoneAlarm from www.pocketmax.net has network profile support, you can use it with cell tower ID to switch the profile when you are in the vicinity of the school and then back to home when you arrive.
hello,
I have a 3G sim card in my Hd7. I tether this connection to a motorola xoom via wifi. I've installed a vpn client in my motorola Xoom, I can connect from Spain to a Usa server via Vpn, but I have a problem.... my phone operator in Spain (simyo), recognizes every kb I download througth vpn...
I need another Hotspot ?? another one without windows phone maybe?? I would like "free" internet on Xoom
thanks in advance
I'm sorry for saying this...
but it's the most funny question I've read!!!
Wifi Gratis, can be found on Burguer King, and many other restaurants and business', since you don't want to pay th internet that the HD7 has...
It's not a joke, that's the solution you want.
Good Luck.
