I've installed new Rocket Rom (v10) and Google maps disappeared... I can't find them on market, nowhere... Any ideas?
Go to pc play store, login with same id as phone and instal google maps, it will be installed on phone as well. Or you can download google maps .apk from internet and install as regular app and update.

Hmm, if I search within google play I cant find Maps....
If I search via Google and click on link for Maps on Google play I can find it and install it....
WTF?
PS: phone does NOT find it...
I have google maps on rocket ROM v10.
You might want to try flashing the ROM again without any wipes.

For some reason the rom I am using doesn't have the maps app with it, and I can't get it in the market either.. Can someone give me a copy of it?
Maps is a proprietary google app. I would suggest getting a rom that has it.
try downloading from the market an app called "market enabler" after that you may be able to download the maps app from the market. or take one of the numerous roms in the development forum and just extract out the maps.apk.
Maps was removed from the market.

Get it from the market? If you can't find it, download Market Enabler first as Google Maps is only available for certain countries.

did you install gapps v7.1 and fixer? if no, install it first
i already install gapps v7.1 but still no google maps. BTW i already got one from app brain using the barcode scanner and i got install it thanks =)
ISSUE SOLVED!
gapps doesn't come with Google Maps. You need gapps to have the Market.
You need to add your account after flashing gapps. --> Settings --> Account & Sync --> Add Account.
Then you can download Maps in the Market.
Hi Guys, i´ve installed CM9 over GT-N7000 and install the gapps image.
-starting from an GB rooter image following dr.Ketan rom source.
-from CWM install CM9 zip
-install ics-20120429-signed.zip
-full wipe & reboot and all ok !
All google apps are fine except google maps with no icons or application available (calendar, gmail, player, etc are fine).
¿ what i´m doing wrong ?
¿ can i install google maps again and how and where can i find it ?
Thanks in advance and i´ll appreciate all your valuable comments.
regards
JVD

How I can fix this
Has your phone been rooted or flashed a custom ROM? If so, uninstall Google Play and then re-install it from a flashable Zip (you can download it on Open Gapps).

It probably requires Google Play services. You may want to flash the global rom/miui.eu rom.

I've just tried this on my Chinese rom device with Play Store installed and it does install Google Play services.
The error when opening Google Lens translates to "This app is not yet included in the app store".
[Edit Solved]
It's trying to open the Google app to install from the Play Store.
Install the Google app and it works.
