Samsung keyboard..autocorrect bar - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Any way to keep the autocorrect bar up permanently like with other keyboards? Keeps popping up and down and shifting the screen while typing..love the keyboard and would like to use it but this makes it impossible..

Oh I would love to know the answer to this! I hate that! I'd also like to know if you can change the autocorrect bar SIZE! The suggestions are HUGE!? haha.

Any other input? Thanks!

you can enable the autocorrect, but disable substitute words, you can do that from the settings, input, then samsung key board, xt9 enable then advanced settings mess around with that

Anyone else have a solution? I really want to fix this issue!

I moved on. I now use swift key 3.... Its a better solution in my humble opinion...

it costs money and has tablet and normal version, choose wisely according to which dpi you like.

Useful Camera idea

It would be great if immediately after taking a picture, you could press, "Edit", then go straight to the photo editor. It seemed so logical that I though there was something wrong when I realized it didn't work that way. LOL I thought I'd lost the feature by flashing a rom. I hope someone will read this and see if they can make this happen.
Or even better specify the program. I'd like to use Photoshop touch instead.

Ive just found THE most annoying problem in the N4...

And now Im going to ruin your day. If you have folders and app icons mixed on the home screen, the labels dont align. App icons text sits noticeably higher than the label for folders. Its annoying the bejesus out of me...
Software update will fix it. Big deal.
Please provide a screenshot.

The most annoying for me is I can't use t9 to dial contacts from the dialer! My labels line up fine with nova.

Does this only happen on the stock Launcher?

Just cancelled my order, wouldn't be able to live with that 1/64 offset.
I don't get it? Cause its not aligned well? Is that it...

You don't care but some do. Sorry we don't all think like you! The fact is it shouldn't even be there. I have never seen this on any android phone I have used or any of the dozens of Stock/Custom ROMs.
I've found something much worse
For me anyway, when I set the brightness to the maximum and then put a black background, a single red stuck pixel shows up near the center. It only seems to be visible with the brightness turned up and on darker backgrounds.
I've tried using the stuck pixel fixer apps but none have worked so far :/ Anyone have any ideas?
Very terrible, this has made me cancel Thanksgiving.

Keyboard is rubbish!!!

Hi, Ive just brought myself a 'Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini' i upgrade from a S1!!! Along time coming but i didn't want a bigger phone.
Anyway what the hell is up with the keyboard!!! I don't use the qwerty keyboard i use the standard 3x4 keyboard with predictive text on.
1, i cant add words???
2, the 0 key doesn't turn the predictive text on and off anymore???
3, im pressing WXYZ now and its writing a load of crap??? (we will work with you when you were working with you) surly it should just write loads of w, x, y or z???
I just want my old standard keyboard back not this new crap fancy one!!! Any advise would be great on trying to get it back or even adding it to a rom or something???
Cheers, James

Google Play has plenty of alternative keyboards to download.
I use Thumb Keypad: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.beansoft.keyboardplus&hl=en
Currently has 50% off.
Brilliant, use it on both phone and tablet.
Your keyboard configuration must be messed up big time.
Try to reset it

Soft keys

Could someone upload or post link to the soft keys apk. I've deleted something or changed build prop or something and have lost my soft keys. I've got LMT launcher working and gravity box pie available but would like to have the soft keys just in case one of the pies fails. Thanks.

wase4711 had the same issue and he couldn't figure it how to get them back. He was within his 14 day window and was lucky to get his swapped out. Maybe ask him what all he tried. I don't even think a factory reset brought them back. Maybe the LG tool?
I looked in system /app and didn't see softkeys. Apk
Sent from my LG-LS995 using Tapatalk
I dont see that file either, so it might not be what the problem is.
When it happened to me, I was within my 14 days, so I didn't bother trying to restore, I just exchanged it.
I tried everything, including a factory reset, and nothing helped.
At this point, I think I would use the lg flash tool, and restore to stock with the T-mobile .kdz file, unless you happened to have a buildprop backup
Another reason why I'm sticking with stock. I know this would happen to me and I don't need that headache. lol

I would try to download GMD auto hide soft keys or whatever its called to try to toggle hiding the navbar and then enabling it worked for me one time on my RAZR

Thanks for looking guys. I still haven't gotten my stock soft keys back but I found and xposed module that creates, themes, and mods soft keys specifically so I installed it and I actually like it better due to the auto hide and the themes for the soft keys.

What module is that??
Its a mod for xposed installer called "UDN PRO"
Ultimate Dynamic Navdar Pro I think I got it on the play store though. It works great. No issue with starting after boot or anything. No issues so far.

I wish I would have known about this before returning my first flex when the buttons disappeared!
now that you can make the navbar go away, have you tried installing Themer? I doesnt work on the flex, because of the native navbar, but I wonder if it would work now with this mod enabled..
Sent from my LG-D959 using Xparent Skyblue Tapatalk 2
Is there a module on Xposed to hide the stock trigger? I immediately got UDN pro just for the customization aspect, and love it, but I can't find a way to get rid of the ugly stock trigger, unless I go the "dangerous route" as the app calls it lol..
I don't know for sure. I was deleting bloat or what I thought was bloat and must have accidently deleted the touch keys app or something. That's what caused me to search and find that apk and it is an exposed mod or at least listed on my exposed module list.

Understood and duly noted! Now if we can just find out what exactly it was that you deleted, that would be great!
That's been my whole reason for the thread. Cuz at first I was trying to get them back. But now I'm not so sure I want them back.

Guys, I finally found something that seems to work! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gmd.hidesoftkeys with root permission of course! With an in-app purchase of 3 bucks, IIRC, you get the pro version, which allows more customization.. And you can hide the stock soft keys completely, even while in system settings
