no because you gonna brick it
okie ....thx...i asked because you know once without reading the warnings provided i unlocked my bootloader but i was lucky enough that my phone did not brick but the phone did not detect my network signal.....my sim was not being detected so i again flashed my stock rom by SEUS and then everything was fyn again.....
So i thought there might be a solution for that so i asked you....
someone ask the same question as u....what the capacity of u'r sd card?
Capacity is 8GB ,....Class 4 sd card......!!!
Try without the mod Walkman

NO way
no way even on 2.2 and 2.3, you can install it but never get it work because of the hardware limitation
you need ARMV7 CPU to make it work and the X8 is an ARMV6 phone

Hi Xda developers and all its users.
I have xperia X8 and i love my phone and using android 2.1 Eclair happily but for so many days i am quite unhappy because of some resons about my phone like
I cant port my apps toy sd card(Main Reason)
Multi touch disability..
So i have just rooted up my phone and install xrecovery 0.1 sucessfully
Now i am bit confused about choosing a rom formy phone..
After reading other threads about same problem some said froyo is better and else said ICS is better..
So guys plz suggest me which rom i should install in my phone which have no bugs and cant be laggy at all...
I can use my phone mostly for gaming, browsing and listening songs.
I like ICS and Jelly beans both..
Is there any custom rom among both of them which i can use....
Please suggest me...
Thank You
Well since you've just install xRecovery i assume you are using stock kernel. So i suggest you to use GingerDX v028b.

It was working till I decided I will get it unlocked by one of the guys from high street. Since then I have had problem and SIM card doesn't connect to operator O2.
I have reinstalled original rom but still sim can't connect to network. I then reinstalled ginger dx v25 rom. Still no network. Wonder whether the guy trying to unlock switched off the network radio in it.
Would be grateful if someone can help.

u must eject simcard when you want to unlock bootloader! !! Then signal problem will solve! !
#there is something you must know, ics is 100% not compatible with custom kernels so what do you expect ics on stock kernel?
Stock kernel doesn't support swap (ram2sd)without swap in ics (on stock kernel) you can't run an app (ics needs about 160 mb ram to operate fine)
So 10-20 mb is not enough for running apps right? ??
{{If stock kernel supported swap, 60% of problems would solve :crying:}}

My X8 is currently running a GingerXperia the latest version. When I reboot my phone, it directly got it self to ClockWorkMod settings. I scrolled down and pressed the wipe cache partition, I think it won't affect my phone because I used to do that in xRecovery but now I used it on ClockWorkMod. I turned off my wifi because I don't wan't to use it on school. But when I got home, I turn on the wifi and It only shows"connecting..." without detecting any wifi signal then minutes later it shows "disconnected". Our wifi is fine, and our neighbors have some wifi too, But my x8 can't detect them. I'm wondering what's wrong with my x8 and what is the best way to get rid of that problem? I know some of you had or have a same problem like mine. Please Help me, I don't know what to do. Sorry for the bad English it isn't my Primary language.

The most of the roms now are stable and very good for daily use, I can't tell "this" is the best rom because I respect everyone's work, what I can tell you is that I recommend you gingerdx, as I think its pretty much complete. This doesn't mean anything. You may don't like it, so its up to you what rom suits you better.
Also you can use gingerdx with both stock and custom kernel.(have you unlocked your bootloader? If not, download roms that are for stock kernel,at gingerdx thread you will find two versions one for stock and one for custom)
No lags at games is not that easy especially if you are talking about heavy games, in that case I recommend you to buy a new phone
