Hello guys,
I'm using a Samsung Galaxy mini for few days and to disable data network i must go in settings > Wireless and networks > Mobile networks > Use packet data.A friend of mine has the same Samsung Galaxy mini as mine, but when he press "Power button" for long time, he got an option there "Data network mode" like in the picture below. How can I add that option too?

And what shoud I do to install the latest firmware? I used Samsung Kies but it shows like I have the latest firmware installed.
in your friends mobile check the version of the firmware then download it and flash with odin
On his phone, I found "Android Gingerbread 2.3.4" installed.... But mine has Android Gingerbread 2.3.6. Should I install 2.3.4 just for that option? There is no other way to add that option?
yeah can be added by editing framework-res.apk, you will need tut search on google

I know it is discussed often, but I have run into a problem with Kies Mini when trying to update a fresh JF6 install to JH7.
Are others having the issue where after recognizing the device, and telling you an upgrade is available - when you agree to terms and it is about to download the files it tells you that a connection to the servers cannot be made?

EDIT: I was able to solve the problem by installing kies mini on my netbook and NOT allowing it to update to the newer version.
It took a second attempt but eventually it started to download.
You could have solved the original problem by trying again until it worked. The message means what it says and I have run into it on both versions of kies mini. Just keep trying.

Try this. It worked for me.
At the home screen, click on the menu button
Go to Settings
Select "Applications"
Manage Applications
Hit the menu button and select "Filter"
Select "Running"
Find "Device Management" and select it
Press the "Clear data" button
Exit to the home screen and try the update again
Where I can get lock screen something like that?

If its not there, tell me what ROM / Firmware ur running
Or find lock screens in Themes section .

There is only a lock screen if your phone has been customized with one or you are using a cooked rom with a lockscreen its in a standard phone .
There are lockscreens on the market .

Hi there, this is my first and maybe my last howto LOL
I heard about a lot of people that have problem with their sim number and i want to help them to restore it
It should work on every cm version (it's a cm feature)
Edit: it works on pengus cm10 for sure. Tony cm10.1 hasn't the option to change it
If you are in this condition you should follow this guide:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Here we go!
1. click on your phone icon
2. press on your hardware key for settings and tap on "settings" as showed
3. find "additional settings" and press on it
4. after few seconds you will be able to press on "my phone number"
5. enter it!
Now you're done! :highfive:
Cheers
Thanks for the guide but... this option doesn't show on my phone. Guess it's the rom (TonyP's T-Build 4, CM10.1). No real problem for me though
in pengus cm10 it's showed.. Maybe tonyp removed it?

Same phone. G998B. No way to see hidden settings. I only see the following.

Works for me SM-G998B Gallary 12.1.07.5
It works on my SM-G9960.
I also found out the same developer's options are present in the Bixby app, you can enable it the same way by quickly tapping the version number. There's only one setting you can enable, which requires to register in Developer's program, and it also asks for "Revision ID". I entered some random number and it worked.
If you'd like to try it out, enabling it is rather simple: Head over to settings within the Gallery app and open About Gallery. Now repeatedly tap on the version number until you see a toast that reads [Labs] Gallery labs is enabled. You'll now find the now-not-so-secret menu in the app's settings menu
