Wifi wouldn't switch on when I was on stock it would give error like you said sometimes even after entering the code to load the drivers I had to restart my phone
Then I flashed cm7 and the problem vanished. Although when I reverted to stock the error was back

welll for that had u used a nandroid backup to revert??
Maybe the baseband is a problem. Try a different baseband and see. Since you are telling that wifi works in cm7, maybe there is a problem with your stock rom.

Nop!! You can't revert from a cm rom to a stock rom by a nandroid backup you have to use odin

Can't turn on Wifi and Blueetooth, gives error
Hi, I just purchased a samsung galaxy ace gt s5830 that came from korea. The phone was initially working fine and had 2.2.1 froyo running on it. But this set did't allow more than 80 characters in text message and converted into an mms. I thought I should updgrade it to gingerbread so I downloaded gingerbread 2.3.6 and upgraded the phone via Odin. Since then, my wifi and bluetooth don't work. when i try to turn on the wifi, it says "Error". I have tried all possible solutions but was never successful. tried those codes like *#526*, *$528* and many other codes but no use. I also thought of going back to froyo 2.2.1 and downloaded a stock rom and flashed it but still the same error.
Now can anyone suggest a solution here so that either I can revert to the korean firmware (since I can't find one for korean region) or I can fix the wifi and blutooth error.
Please Please help!!! I purchased it to present it to my wife on her birthday but now its all messy
any of u try updating to 2.3.6

[Q] Timezone is wrong when automatic time update from network

Hi I am facing strange problem last couple of days. I have Samsung stock rom.
When I set time to be automatically updated from network - my timezone changes from GMT+01 to GMT+02 in certain intervals. Mostly when I am travelling from Austria to Slovakia and there are network operators changes, but it happens also when I am in Slovakia only. Both countries have GMT+01, so I do not know why phone switches to GMT+02.
The only thing what I did before was:
1. Flashing CyanogenMod 9 (ICS)
2. Flashing back to stock rom via ODIN
Any ideas why this happens or how to fix this?

already factory reset?
Yes, but I flashed back to stock via ODIN. Can it be CM9 left something in the phone which makes it wrong now?
Why dont you just switch the auto network update and set it manually since they're both on the same timezone?
As a workaround, yes, I am already on the manual mode. But it worked before, it should work even now. And I assume when using automatic time from network, the clock is being synchronized periodically and I still have exact time. Is not it like that?
One question - when flashing stock firmware via ODIN, is it possible that there is still something kept from the previous custom rom?
Now I flashed StockLite 7.1 ROM and the same behavior - in approx. 1 day the timezone is set to GMT+2 instead of the correct GMT+1. Strange. I have other Galaxy Ace with sotck rom and the same network operator and this one has correct timezone GMT+1 even when on automatic time update.

[9001] Wifi and Bluetooth issues

hello everyone, I just registered here for a couple issues with my girlfriend's i9001, it basically can't find Wifi connections, once you click the button to activate the wifi, it shows a green check for few mins while looking for connections and suddenly it deactivates by itself...
I read around about a file to remove via terminal emulator, the bcm_supp.conf one, but I can't find that file...
does anyone have any idea/solution for it? currently she uses internet via 3g (monthly charges) but it would be cool to be able to use the home wifi...
about bluetooth instead, it just can't find other bluetooth devices and vice versa, my nokia 5800 can't find it even if the "visible" option is activated.
ideas?
I'm going crazy about it, I already tried several hard resets and flashed the phone first with 2.3.5 and then with 2.3.6 firmwares... nothing fixed the issues...
thanks in advance for any response
ps: sorry for my english, I'm italian >_<
i had exactly the same wifi issue but flashing a new rom solved the problem. reset and reflashing the same rom didn't help. you tried several 2.3.6 versions?
you might try flashing another modem.

[JB} Loosing network connection after some time

Hi,
I have a strange issue with my SGS Advance.
After some time I loose my network connection. I cannot call, sms or use my mobile data. I have to reboot my phone to get this working again (wifi continues to work). This usually happens around 1 or 2 times a day.
I don't get any message. My mobile data icons just disappears. I sometimes still see reception bars.
Currently I'm running the following:
Modem: I9070XXLPZ
Rom: JZ054K.I9070XXLPZ
Kernel: Thunderzap-Reloaded-3.5
But the problem didn't only occur with this setup. I had it with stock XXLPY (which I installed twice with full data wipes).
After that I installed XXLPZ with full data wipe. The problem still occured. The latest update was the change to the Thunderzap Kernel.
Any suggestions?
My suggestion is to flash a baseband appropriate to your region

Thanks for the tip.
According to the stock overview topic here the latest version for the Netherlands is I9070XXLD1.
Can I use the modem from this GB rom on my JB setup or will this conflict?

Hmm I just tried to flash the modem. I thought I succeeded, no errors in Odin.
But it still says I9070XXLPZ on my system info.

Wifi dropping

It happened 1 month after using cm13 then I tried flashing a lot of other ROMs and it didn't help. It doesn't work on any WiFi, connects and after 5 seconds it disconnects and says “saved”
Have you tried flashing a baseband of your software variant and check it the issue still persists?
