Find it in google play and if you see and it needs update let it update then after that you will see the box with uninstall, use it to uninstall.

It just un-installs the update. I removed it from the menu inside and lost root. Then flashed speed mod for rooting and ran into partial root, had "shell has been granted superuser permissions" flashing continuously. Then had to boot into download mode and flash firmware again.

I think new kernels having superSU
So just remove superuser (if superSU working fine)

Hello doc. Is there a way to replace superuser with super su just while installation?

hello doc, i just followed the guide here to root samsung galaxy y pro (GTB-5510) and i successfully rooted it, and I got the superSU app, then I unrooted it (due to it's too risky to root but tried 'coz of curiosity) but the app remains on it, i can't uninstall the superSU app, please help. thanks

Now again you have to root to uninstall it.

I haven't rooted again doc, and i uninstall it using the settings on the superSU, the Full Unroot, but it's too long i thought it hangs, and I canceled it and now it says SU binary cant be found. This is a problem! lol the latter made me laugh thanks for the reply.
P.S. I used factory setting and it's still there. (rooting again makes my hair in the back go up :/)

Without root access you can't change files in System ROM, so it will remain there even after factory reset.
If you are worrying about re root, then just flash Stock ROM with Odin, it will get removed.

Hello, I am having this same problem...I was rooted....then did a factory reset, upgraded to 4.1.2 (stock firmware) and now superSU is still stuck on my sytem. When i flash the stock firmware, supersu automatically starts to install updates from google play during reboot?? Once the updates install it still says i don't have root and also says "the supersu binary is not installed"....I just want to unroot it and get rid of superSU so that i can re root....when i try to re root as of now i get a bunch of errors like acore. has stopped, media has stopped etc and my phone wont work....please help?? I understand that reloading the stock firmware with odin is supposed to remove super SU but its not....I also cant find anything to do with superSU on my phone anywhere once i uninstall the updates....very weird...i just want to be rooted again...

i cant remove super su
i had some problems with my phone and i had to flash a stock firmware but after that, super su icon stayed there on my apps and i cant remove it to root my phone again(i think it is unrooted because it keeps showing me the message that it cant find any su bin). i tried to flash su again with cwm, tried factory reset, tried to unistall it directly from su but it doesnt go away and i cant root my phone. Please help me, im new to xda and sorry for my bad english.

[Q] Problem with MIUI Rom, version 1.12.25

Hi There,
I'm running the above ROM that I had flashed yesterday, and I had realised today that the ROM hadn't given me root permissions.
I have followed many guides on how to fix this.
One of the main ways was too enable root permissions in SuperUser, but it isn't working as it's not showing that option.
I can't access Recovery Mode or download mode at the moment, even though the ROM is running perfectly other than not been able to use root apps.
I have tried a factory reset so the ROM is back as it was when I first flashed, but I still can't enable root.
I am wondering, is there a way I can flash an MIUI rom without root permission and the ability to access recovery?
If so, could you please point me in the direction of fixing this?
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

You could try to acces recovery through the ROM Manager app. Are you sure your ROM isn't rooted? Check if you have an app called Superuser installed.
SuperUser only lists applications that have asked for SU permissions. You can't add them manually.
Try running an application that needs SU access (like titanium backup), and see if it throws an error message, or popup that allows it to get SU access.
I've installed Titanium Backup and it says.. Root access: X FAILED.
I can't update my superuser binary files because it can't gain root access.
And yes I do have superuser installed.
I can't get into recovery mode using ROM Manager either.
Is there a way I can reflash a ROM? I do have mobile ODIN.. but it says it doesn't work with the MIUI kernel..

Not much you can do if you don't get access to download mode or recovery.
What you can do if it doesnt work is try the USB Jig that will force your phone into download/recovery mode. They are very cheap on E-bay i've heard
Just brought a jig, I'll keep you posted
Thank you

OK Thanku for ur reply. can i also flash supersu in my stock rom. if so i have to just uninstall superuser and install supersu. pls tell me the procedure.
no don't uninstall superuser as you'll lose root rights... just install superSU and then in options click "switch superuser app" it will then install new binary code for superSU, then you can uninstall superuser.

Take the superuser app from your rom zip, place it in /system and set permissions. Or try to flash the rom without a full wipe (only /cache and dalvik). But I think downloading from the Play Store will also work.

[Q] How do i fix un root?

I'm new to this guys. A quick run down is this.
Downloaded rom manager pro, root explorer, titanium back up and mobile odin pro. Along with the relevant cf root file zip and followed instructions.
Rooted s3 no problem.
Uninstalled and then re installed superSU through play store. No problem.
Through rom manager, made a back up through TWRP.
Flashed the galaxy project onto phone no problem.
Now superSU is saying i need the SU binary installed.
Rom manager can't find any back ups. Root checker is saying that my phone is not rooted which explains why titanium back up isn't able to do anything.
So now i'm thinking lets start fresh...go back to odin and re root. Well Odin CANNOT see my phone in download mode. Only when the phone is in normal operating mode it can be seen which is really weird. When i went into settings to look at <about device> i can no longer see the imei number or whatever it was. Not even sure if thats normal.
So.....What have i done wrong?? and how am i able to salvage this?
Can anyone help??
Uninstall SU reboot then reinstall reboot and all should be well

I have also tried removing the battery for 10 minutes...still no good.
Unistall the update, then re-install and reboot
Flash this update (the zip file) for supersu in twrp and enjoy

sorry to be a pain mate but odin is not recognising my phone when in download mode. Not sure but i think this is a soft brick?
If your trying to fix supersu you can flash that zip in TWRP. I'm not sure how to fix Odin problems.

[Q] Cannot root S5830 2.3.6

Hello,
I'm trying to root my S5830 but it's not working. I have had it rooted before because I installed Samsung's stock android version 2.3.6 (The phone originally came with 2.2.1 I think).
The exact stock firmware on the phone is GINGERBREAD.XWKTQ.
I tried applying the universal_gb_root_v25 file in recovery mode and it seems to be working. There's no errors or anything and it tells me the device has been rooted and to restart. However after restarting, the device does not appear to be rooted at all, RootValidate tells me root access is not available. What am I doing wrong?
Thank you!

have you just installed custom recovery?
I remeber you need first to root the phone and later install custom recovery.
If you not installed custom recovery, try to flash the attached file.

Thanks, what custom recovery are you talking about? I just entered the default android recovery mode by pressing HOME and POWER buttons on startup. I tried the upd_1 file in recovery mode and it ran okay, but unfortunately it didn't fix the problem.

I talk about CWM /clockwork) 5.0.2.6
This fixed it for me:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1850070
So it seems the problem was there was not enough space left and I first had to run Delete_thinkdroid.zip to free up some space. After that I applied upd_1.zip and now the phone is rooted.

If you need to root your device, I've a post too when you can find a couple of script to get some free internal space in order to achieve your goal

Cant remove system apps after nougat update

Hello, i flashed my note 5 with the official nougat firmware through Odin. Now i am unable to remove system apps such as the Microsoft apps, email, internet etc. I tried using "system app remover(root)" which shows failed uninstall. Then i tried using titanium backup after which my phone got stuck at the samsung logo during restart. I had to again flash the official firmware to get my phone working.
Any help to remove system apps will be highly appreciated
Solved: I manually deleted the apks by using root explorer and now it works fine.

Try a rootchecker to see if rooted properly. And maybe grant system r/w access
Thank you, was stuck with the same problem, root explorer worked.
