i had rooted my device and my superuser application is very old version.now without updating it, if i open any application which require root access it force closes.so i have to update it every time i do a factory reset which is annoying.so can i integrate the superuser update to rom by using titanium backup without bricking or any other problems.i also want to flash cwm recovery to use custom roms. i hope that there will be no problems if i integrate the update.pls help me.

OK Thanku for ur reply. can i also flash supersu in my stock rom. if so i have to just uninstall superuser and install supersu. pls tell me the procedure.
no don't uninstall superuser as you'll lose root rights... just install superSU and then in options click "switch superuser app" it will then install new binary code for superSU, then you can uninstall superuser.

Take the superuser app from your rom zip, place it in /system and set permissions. Or try to flash the rom without a full wipe (only /cache and dalvik). But I think downloading from the Play Store will also work.

Hi,
I have updated kernel from 0.07 to 0.08 on CM RC1, and after that superuser app has FCs eg when a new app requires SU. Old apps have SU, because I rooted again after the update (in androidiani recovery, or z4root app - the same effect)
I tried to clear data of superuser app or cache, wipes in recovery (dalvik and cache) and this hadn`t helped. I think there are some old files which superuser refers to which must be deleted, but dont know where to find them etc.
could u help ??

OK... so now i assume you have AOR... from the AOR menu, find and apply root from there.
Should fix your problem.

still, no result. I did it already as I mentioned it in the 1st post.
Any new app that requires SU; either FCs superuser or doesnt respond or has root access denied.

But... why did you root your device once again??
If i did not misunderstood, you said that... so i assume that you had 0.07 running perfectly with root and when you update it to 0.08 you rooted again?
That's unnecessary and causes ( as i heard) that superuser.apk behaves badly.
So if i were you... i would wipe dalvik...cache partition and factory reset and then apply once again the 0.08 update.zip
And... do not root it again!
Hope it helps.

Remove superuser app from your device then root from AOR

OK, finally I got it working.
nothing really helped, removing SU and rooting again, still SU forcecloses etc, wipes (cache, dalvik) the same.
There`s what I did, dont know whats the difference but still. I applied the kernel 0.08 once again (after I wiped cache and dalvik) rebooted > still problems.
Rebooted in the ARecovery, rooted, rebooted > SU forcecloses (only once), but from now on everything`s OK. I can add apps to the SU, root granted, everything is fine.
The difference was that in the first time I applied the kernel in the recovery and rooted at the same time without rebooting the system ...
Strange thing for me with this kernel update, I had the same story on Cronos (they say that u must root after kernel update, but they forgot to mention that system must be rebooted after update and before rooting.)
Thanks to all, maybe this thread will be useful to someone.

After the kernel update the root is gone (There is a superuser, but its not working, and root is not granted) u must root it again. But as I said, there must be a reboot between update and rooting.
edit: nope. Still superuser FCs, this is starting to be annoying.

Says Who??
I update from 0.07 to 0.08 ,change kernels ( Arabic and African) AND THERE'S NO NEED TO ROOT IT AGAIN!!!!
that's why now you're having this kind of issues with su.

I would start from scratch with a full wipe first. Something went wrong. Also, i agree with the latest post...i have swapped kernels before and never needed to re-root.

People help me!
I took my sister SE X8 to get my since her ROM that I installed it and something works slowely, and if the description was written to work ok, but after a few failed attempts, I returned it the old ROM Floyo v.0.3
Now, I installed everything right, synchronized across its Gmail, update market to play store, install BusyBox. When I reset the mobile no longer wanted to start properly, accurately shows (No service) and throws me some hill popup-s..., like The application LauncherPro has stopped unexpectedly!
And when I left mobile than reset several time and all the same ...
The worst is that I can not re-enter the xRecovery and re-install the ROM!
As I made the problem when I installed BusuBox and reset mobile!
How do I resolve this? Please help!

Just use "search " to find the busybox in zip file which you can flash it thru recovery. Good luck.

there won't be any cwm app or busybox app. cwm is a recovery mode u enter by pressing vol up+pwr+home
just try some app that requires root access to check if u have the right access permissions
Thanks Guys!!!
Thanks for the info.. It helped :good:

I'm using JB so I installed SS 3.71. After trying everything installing thousands of times Busybox. My safestrap is still not working. Everytime I reboot, the choosing screen does not show....WHY?!
I'm crazy...........:crying::crying::crying::crying:
Did you install busybox app, then open busybox app and install symlink applets?
You can also install this busybox check app to verify you have root access and proper busybox installation.

SS 3.71 doesn't need busybox, only the KK version 3.75 needs busybox can you post your device's about screen that could help troubleshoot...
Using the right version ss, right? I believe there is a separate one for jb.

Looks good, you might want to start over with a clean install of safestrap...
1) verify you have root access https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.joeykrim.rootcheck&hl=en
2) uninstall busybox
3) uninstall safestrap recovery (in the app)
4) uninstall safestrap app
5) reboot
6) redownload (just in case of bad download) and install safestrap 3.71
7) open safestrap app and grant root access
8) install safestrap recovery
9) reboot
If you get any errors then you may need to reroot or head over to the MJ5 restore thread

Yes you can go straight to official NC2 here. It's a straightforward odin flash but read all the warnings, once you flash NC2 you can't go back to JB or install any JB-based roms

Hello, i flashed my note 5 with the official nougat firmware through Odin. Now i am unable to remove system apps such as the Microsoft apps, email, internet etc. I tried using "system app remover(root)" which shows failed uninstall. Then i tried using titanium backup after which my phone got stuck at the samsung logo during restart. I had to again flash the official firmware to get my phone working.
Any help to remove system apps will be highly appreciated
Solved: I manually deleted the apks by using root explorer and now it works fine.

Try a rootchecker to see if rooted properly. And maybe grant system r/w access
Thank you, was stuck with the same problem, root explorer worked.
