Log/Dump files on CM7 - Galaxy Ace S5830 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys,
I have searched about this but I couldn't find anything related.
I have flashed recently to CM7 from my stock rom. Everything is great so far, but when I looked to delete the log files located at data/log I noticed this folder is not there anymore. Also, the "*#9900#" thing to move the dump files doesn't seem to work on CM. I searched and it seems all these codes doesn't work with this rom.
So the question is, does anyone knows where the dump/logs are located on CM7 ? Are they deletable like with the stock roms ?
Thanks!

There's an app called sdmaid just go do that safely. I recommend using it!

Thanks man. But I'm scared of using those "powerful" cleaner apps.
I prefer finding the log directory on CM (if there is actually one) and delete the logs/dumps by myself

I found that the folder data/system/dropbox has many log files.
Is this content safe to remove ?

If they are log files, then you can safely remove em.

These zip files. and i can access them, Im just not sure how to use them as an actual program or layout or whateva
Those are Skins for PocketCM, you have to install that and unzip the file into the themes location in PocketCM.
Installing themes varies depending on what they are for. Have a look on the PocketCM website for more information.
I suggest reading the thread's and posting in there if you have any problems, because as I said before, each theme is different. (Probably why I don't use them that often )

If you have WM6.1 it should be working.
You can check the Wm version in Start>Settings>System>About.
If not, there is a tweak to enable / disable it. Download and install KaiserTweak or Schap's advanced Config. And have a look for the option.

[Q] Some Q's about .apk

Hi guys!
I've just started experimenting with customising a rom to my needs.
I've already added some things i was missing and deleted some stuff i don't use.
but now i want to add some stuff like the xda app and some other stuff.
i searched already but couldn't find anything usefull, or maybe just read over it.
How do i get the .apk files of the app's i want, so i can put them in the rom??
or do i have to create it myself?
and is there a way to get/create .apk files of the app's i previously downloaded from the market?
or is there a better/easyer way to do this?
Thnx in advance!

Root + Custom ROM for Galaxy Ace S5839i

I have managed to root the S5839i after doing some research, but I can't seem to find any mention of how to install CMW on this version of the phone, and there doesn't seem to be any ROMs available, could someone help me with this please?
Did you READ the forums?
If you had, it would have been pretty clear to you that there is practically no development for the device. Its just beginning!

Details here.
Yes I looked all over the forums, hence asking the question? Why else would I post it? I thought there might be at least one custom rom out there, but thanks for confirming there is little to no development.

[Q] Froyo files for DS7 Wi-Fi

Hello all,
I've been looking everywhere for the stock froyo image for my wifi streak7. I've downloaded the tmobile images (as suggested on this guide - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1018809) but I've also had reports of this bricking wifi-only models. Is it actually safe to install the tmo image on my device, or does somebody know where to find the images?
TheManii has a few files on a dev-host account. I am out of town for a few days or else I would provide you a drop box link with the stock files.
Perhaps pm him directly, and be very kind and gracious in your request, or maybe someone else will read this and can provide you a link
Look in the stickies section, there may be a reference to where to find.
Also maybe look at tabletroms.com
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Here you go: http://d-h.st/IdY
Thanks ElfinJNoty, and thanks for that link, wptski! I was able to browse Themanii's uploads folder, there's all sorts of stuff there. I'll try to find the rest of the froyo files in there.

EXT4ALL mod files?

I want to be able to install more than 150 MB worth of apps on my dinc running cyanogenmod 7.2. Hence, I am looking for the EXT4ALL mod files that are discussed in these two threads: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1315372 and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1623038
Neither thread has the files any longer. The attachments were edited out of the first post in one of the threads and the other has a dead link (http://dinc.does-it.net/EXT4_Mods/). Does anyone have a source of these files, please? I think "no_data_limit_normal_dalvik" or "no_data_limit_dalvik_moved" would work wonderfully.
I started a new thread because the original threads were so old (besides, one is closed). I PM'd both OP's and haven't heard anything back.
Any help you can provide would be much appreciated. Thanks.
here is the file. Must be installed via recovery.. I think this will wipe out/reformat your data/data partition
