Please Help Asap!!! Lost Wedding Photos!! - HD7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

HI Guys,
I used my HD7 to take photos of my brothers wedding last weekend. My son was messing with my phone and entered pin in wrong 3 times and phone formatted (by the way is there any way of stopping this, 3 times is a bit crazy)
Any way. Here is where I stand I turned phone of straight away. Didn't set it up again. I have the sd card out.
Tools to hand to hopefully try recover photos of Card.
Linux
Mac OsX
Nokia Symbian
Card Reader.
Can any one tell me how I would go about trying to salvage the photos of the card.
Thanks in advance.

SD card is locked to phone
I upgraded my HD7 which is current build of stock mango. To 32gb. The 16gb card is pretty much useless as windows phone locks it to the device. Linux,Win8/7 and mac neither os can read the SD card.
So if the photo was is not being seen by the device and you did not have the upload to skydrive option. Then the photos a probably gone.
sorry mate

Can't root no matter what I do

I have tried every forum and every article's tips on how to root and NOTHING is working. I have cupcake. I have formatted my SD card using a reader because when I try to mount it using the phone it unmounted. I installed the program onto the SD card and powered it down. I hold down the camera button and hit power. The screen with the 3 colors comes up and just stays there doing nothing. Am I just not waiting long enough for the gray screen?
PLEASE HELP!

The screen you want for flashing is the one with the exclamation mark, activated by holding down HOME + POWER, you then press alt+l to display the log or whatever. How far did you get in the process anyway, my info kinda relys on what uve given me

Make sure your card is formatted to fat32. Make sure the file is DREAIMG.nbh and not DREAMIMG.nbh. Boot up by holding camera + power. If it doesn't boot right then redownload the DREAIMG.nbh file, could of been a bad download.
version I535 wont root or do any thin else help please. 4.4.3 kit cat yuk
I have a version Samsung galaxy S III I535 android version 4.4.3. I do not really care for Kit cat and wanted to root it like I did my girl friends. I have spent more then a month pouring over this site mostly this but others, I have tried a ton of programs with Odin, following directions to the letter. I still can not get the thing unlocked. Every program that says install with Odin fails The ones that say put it on your SD card go there but they wont install fully. hard to read fully but it says something about wrong or bad signature then more yellow letters follby more re and it quits and leave me a dead screen. So far I have gotten lucky, the only that has quite working is 4G and it does' n even show there is a router in the house so The tcpip is probably shot. Please folk Im begging for are some help my ST card runs out in two days and they are 45 dollars a piece. so hit me with the instructs, or constructive criticism. I am new to this Ive done it in a very old phone with CW on it so it was easy please from a desperate man how to get this thing to unlocked so I can rom it and put in ST card. And before anybody *****es about ST they have been great to me and mine.
Sure I went to version (worst mistake of my life except getting married,) like being married its great at the beginning then you get that first bill then it doesn't seem like a good idea for a while but after being lied to and having to pay $290.49 I gathered there crap brought it back to a version store and dumped it. The phone is mine I bought it from gur who fixes and resells phones. I have bought several phones from him both personal and to resell he does wonderful work but he is on vacation for 3 more weeks out west camping and
My phone did work great till I finger into it lol.
If some one has the time to speak English instead of android that would be even better. Please remember I am a phone retard so use small words and please oh please point me to software the will not fail while Odin is passing it to the phone, or off the sd card
Sincerely
Dan.

SanDisk16GB Micro SDHC won't read on mac os or android phone. Help!?

This memory card has been used in my Nexus One Android running Froyo. I was using the phone last night (specifically FourSquare) and it froze up, I'm not sure if it was writing something to the micro sd but I removed the battery to restart the phone. When it restarted it said "checking memory card for errors", but after waiting for ten minutes nothing was recognized and I restarted it again, this time removing the sd card. Fast forward a few hours. I tried repeatedly different methods to get the phone to recognize it and finally gave up. I put an older memory card in the phone which worked just fine.
I have a usb micro sd reader and plugged it in to the mac. Usually iPhoto pops up but nothing happened. I ran disk utility to see if the memory card could be recognized and still nothing. I tried many free software programs but they all require the memory card to at least be recognized, which mine is not. Any Ideas? I've ran out of them. I just want a few pictures and a video but if thats not possible at least a way to reformat sd card for future use.
Cliffnotes: Card corrupted by android phone, no longer recognized by phone or mac os, tried several sd recovery programs to no avail, I just want the pics!
Sounds like it's not corrupted, it just died. Sorry dude. Time for a new card.
Had my 8 gig die the other night. Mine is recognized when I put it in my laptop but when ok try to copy any file, it can't access. It does see all of then though. I've been trying some recovery software but haven't had any luck so far.

Thanks. You're probably right. I guess this is where the iPhone has an advantage over us Android users. Permanent on board storage.

So if that storage goes out, you replace the whole phone. Sounds like quite the advantage...
Versus cheap expandable memory. Hmm.....
Ok I found a half satisfying solution. The sd card reader has a lock switch. When I click lock I am able to read everything, thus letting me copy it to my computer. I guess putting it in lock mode makes everything read only. The card is still dead, imo. No way to reformat it in this mode and removing the lock switch only reverts to my prior problem.

That means your card is dead. When a flash card dies, it cannot be written anymore, but it can still be read from because the data is still there, it's flash memory so its nonvolatile. By forcing it to read only mode, you should be able to recover your data, like you just did.
Awesome suggestion on setting to read only. It worked for me too. I'm happy to at least get the stuff off it, even if it's dead.

[Q] Proud owner of a working brick?

Had a perfectly working phone up until 8 hours ago. Driving home from the bar and my phone randomly reboots. Wouldn't turn on till I removed the battery and tried again. In a 30 minute drive this happened 3 times.
@ Home phone rebooted another 3 times before I just left it plugged into the charger, didn't touch it or try to change anything.
Everything went well through the morning, till I decided to perform a nandroid backup, and wipe my SD card. Rebooted to recovery and now my phone couldn't detect an installed SD.
Powered down the phone. Inserted a different card thinking the previous one was corrupt or something. Still not detecting it.
Currently, phone does not detect any SD cards, Home button does not work, unable to connect to a wireless network (airplane mode will not turn off), no market app installed, lockscreen is not showing (just goes straight to home screen).
I was running SuperE 1.0.3 before, and settings still shows the same.
Comments? Suggestions? Criticism?
Awesome. 65 views and nothing. Android is a great OS for a phone, but their support group sucks.
At least apple has the courtesy to say "hey, you're screwed unless you wanna pay $400 for a new phone."
Hey your screwed unless you wanna pay 400 for a new phone did you try to put your sd card into the computer and format to fat 32 yet? does your computer see your sd card for starters?

Does this look like GOOGLE or HTC to you?
Sorry no. Nobody's paying anyone here to help you fix your failures.
If you have a warranty issue, please contact HTC first (they are the ones responsible for your phone), GOOGLE second (though I doubt this is an OS issue -- more likely a hardware or user issue).
If you want community help, ASK NICELY. Nobody's going to go out of their way to help out a DOUCHEBAG with an overinflated sense of entitlement.
Um you just pissed off the guy that knows probably how to fix your phone more than anybody!!!! Not good!!!!

Computer can read my sd card, no problem. It won't, however, recognize my G1 when its plugged in via usb. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling the correct drivers with no effect.
I know its not the usb ports, I used them to format the sd cards with an adapter, and its not my usb cable, had a friend test them with his G1.
After going in through settings and doing a Factory Reset, I've been able to connect to my network, but that's the only improvement.
On the plus side, my phone has never run faster.

Thanks for judging me as a person based on a thread. You seem like a douchebag as well, and pretty full of yourself. We should be buds.

[Q] 15.73MB TOTAL storage Shows in "ABOUT"

there are four problems in my HD7:
1. After I setup Zune, and connect my HD7 to MY PC,but my PC still cannot find the device.
2. In "About", the total storage shows 15.73MB. and 10.12MB can be used.
3.every time I run application in HD7, it always indicates storage limit.
4.After I hard reset my HD7, the screen stays in the flahing and in the middle shows HTC. It has lasted several hours.
who can help me?!!! Save my HD7, save the World. SORRY for my poor English.
I would say, go to service, seems you got a bad sdcard in your hd7
I agree. Either replace the SD card yourself (if you want to try that), or take it back to your store and get it replaced.
I am having the same problem as the OP... I am going back to T-Mobile tomorrow
Happened to me as well, hard reset fixed it...
i had that problem with my brand new hd7, all i did was take the lower back part off and pull the sd card out a lil and push it back on and it worked perfect after that so i guess it just needed re seated.
Bad SD card is more possible. You can search for a SD card changing tutorial and swap a new card into it (and OF COURSE you can swap a fresh good 32GB card to it to give it more room.)
My advice is to send back if it's still under warranty.
Mine was like not in warranty so I will swap cards.

Did you dropped your unit or accidentaly bump it? Coz this might be the reason to make the micro sd loose a bit.

[Q] dead S lll mini

Help needed. My Slll mini froze on me so I turned it off and now it will not come back on.
It had randomly rebooted itself a couple of times and the storage space was getting low.
Vodafone will send it off for repair but it will get wiped. I would like to retrieve my pictures and would appreciate any help in doing so.
Many thanks :fingers-crossed:

Try taking it out and insert it into a PC using any card reader and try using a program called 'Recuva' and see if you can undelete your files? Just don't write anything to the microSD as it could overwrite the corrupted files.
