Does it work with stock rom?
Sent from my GT-S5570 using xda premium
I'M NOT SURE IF IT WILL WORK WITH STOCK
If Android freezes at boot screen:
1. Do a fresh install of stock rom via odin
2. install latest recovery.
most important procedure
3. switch off then press only home button and power button
1. wipe data/factory reset.[imp]
2. wipe cache partition.[imp]
3. Go to mounts and storage and format these :
a. system
b. data
c. cache
d. sdext
4 go to advanced and then in there format :
a. Dalvik cache
b. Battery stats [not imp.]
4. Install apocalypse latest final version.
5. install layout properly as suggest in developer post. after installing layout reboot 2 times.
6. mount system and install AMARULLZ DATA TO SD-EXTat this point after i apply the script the screen gets frozen in the android boot screen and i cant even see the bootanimation
7. give 2 reboots after installing AMARULLZ DATA TO SD-EXT.
8. check ur internal memory it will be according to ur partition size.
9. [if error] if u find internal memory still same then u must have not mounted system go to recovery again and mount system and then flash script again.
Link to all the files?

AW: HELP- How to do Format System
After you format /system you should install your Rom. You can't reboot cause you haven't installed a system on your phone.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda app-developers app
Yes. Do not reboot after formatting system because your ROM is gone.
I always format system when changing ROMs, it is good practise to do so.

The benefit to formatting system before you install a new ROM isn't gaining space. Its clearing out system files that may interfere with the new ROM and make it not run as fast as it should, or make it unstable.

but my phone is already rooted, do i need to root it again?
No. Only flash cwm.
CMW isnt root
So, what's the topic i must follow in the topic that Frank provided?
Download cwm5 and flash in stock recowery.
I can't install cwm5..
I copy the file to my sdcard.
Then i reboot my phone at recovery mode.
After that I go to apply update from sdcard -> recovery-clockwork-5.zip
After that it was suppose to install cwm5 right?
But this is what happens:
--Install /sdcard ...
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Installation aborted.
For some reason the installation isn't working..
Ensure its the correct version for you're phone model

I don't have that option! :/

reboot system now
apply update from sdcard
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
Yeah, my bad. You have to flash thru odin. If you downloaded the files from previous posts, download odin v1.85 and place the files like this: PDA (.tar file) and PIT (512.pit .. or something like this; it has to be. pit). Make sure RE-PARTITION is unticked and others two are ticked. Put your phone in Download mode and plug-in USB cable. If appears "ADDED" in odin, press start. If doesn't appear, u will need the driver. It should rebot and VOILA!

However i'm not able to install the ROM..
I want this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1808856
When I try to Flash ROM the installation fails.
Does this happens because i'm on galaxy ace s5830i instead of s5830?
I have tried to install this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=29572248
It's suppose to work on s5830i and it gives me the same installation error
What error are you getting?

i have a partition but im not using it so i decided to remove partition with home partition wizard provided by yagya's tut.
just mount your sdcard with your mobile
copy all the data to PC
then boot in recovery
then go to mount and storage
from there format sdcard
and you will have single partition
then mount sdcard again and copy your data back
its very simple
Ok I will try this on Friday cause I'm busy)

Hi Dev,
Im currently using a custom rom, there is a tons of folder created during installing of different rom and apps on my sd card. It is safe to do this following steps on how to install clean stock rom?
1. wipe factory/wipe cache/wipe dalvik
2. format system/format data/format preload/format EMMC
3 remove battery/download mode (vol down, power key, menu key)
4. install official rom using odin.
its safe to format the EMMC?
Thank you in advance
Any reason you want to format emmc? Nowhere is it mandatory to do so. A factory reset, wipe cache and dalvik suffices.
What emmc is stand for?

Just install it like other custom rom,
-complete wipe in recovery mode
-install zip from sd card
-reboot device
You're done...
If you're getting into a bootloop try to,
-reboot into recovery mode
-wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition
-reboot the device
You should try this script to help your internal storage:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1879806
Note: don't forget to mount data and system before installing the script
