Thanks for reply

Can you please let us know how do I unlock my
set because its showing pattern password for
application how to unlock pattern

After 5 times of incorrect patterns you should have a forgot Patten button and emergency call, press forgot pattern and will ask for Google information.
Sent from my HTC PH39100 using xda premium

Its impossible / unlikely that you forgot your pattern since you have to knowingly make it twice for it to stick.
That said I believe this is a stolen device.

Agreed, I work for a carrier and that is the biggest red flag of all. I see BB, I phones and android come in with a password lock out screen and unless you can convince me it's your device, it's not gonna happen.

Hey guys, our own GSLEON3 has just started working with EvilDevnull. Evil has a pretty good track record with being able to exploit devices, so I think we might be in luck. However, EvilDevnull was banned from XDA for reasons I won't go into. So please, do not link his site, but you are allowed to link his twitter. TO FIND HIS SITE, google "s-off think tank" and you will find his forum with his name in the url. Register with the forum and you are in. Recently, Evil was only working on the HTC Rezound but GSLEON3 was able to get him to add a Vivid section on the forum since the two devices are so alike. So check in on the Vivid or Rezound sub forums to see what's going on. This thread is for root discussion only, please do not start drama about Evil or you may face the consequences with a mod.
Very cool. Thank you for the update. Just signed up
Thanks slapshot30. Things are going in the right direction

Hoping to learn more and more specifically learn enough to help with rom development...
I'm a Web Developer by trade, but pretty excited about the 'Holiday', finally being a real device.
Excellent!!!
I am really dissapointed because this is the first HTC phone I get that I can not modify to my like. I like it hardware wise but miss the overclocking and twicking and so. I just wish it was rooted. So I am going to fork some cash for a moto razr from local carrier that has the same freq than Ma Bell and put this baby In its box until its been rooted. I like it enough to hold on to it and I realy don't like the Sammys, I remember my cappi being unstable and feeling like a chinesse counterfeit of a nicer product.
The razr is rooted so Ill have Enough
To stay busy and entertainned until the beast is finnaly out of its cage.

Not doubting you, but skeptical. Can you provide a screenshots to show off your Festivus Miracle?
Can anyone (like a dev) replicate your success? Someone who is an established contributor?
There are only 10 kinds of people. Those who understand binary math, and those who don't.

Hmm, okay. I'm going to still be a bit hands-off with this until a clear method of rooting, free of bugs, drops.
Has anyone tried the Raider's root?
I means its nothing bad I've only had it happen twice , you just remount it and go about your way

It ought to work, but there are better ways to get perm root if you're bootloader's unlocked. Temp root methods use exploits to break things and get root, but if you've got an unlocked bootloader, you can use legitimate methods to flash su to the proper location. Check the sticky for info on using the SuperTool.

Just got s off

If you don't know what it does then why would you S-OFF your device? Doesn't sound very smart to me. Like above said... It just helps YOU possibly break you device but since that's a lame answer I'll help.
You can flash modded hboots, custom splash screens, remove the red warning text on boot, remove bootloader tampered sign and lock/relock/unlock bootloader.
You can probably do more but that's what I use it for. Happy bricking

Just been trying to get this on my HTC one and have found that allthough the app loads etc fine when I go to play anything it comes back saying sky go is not supported on rooted devices.
A) how does it know I'm rooted?
B) anyway around it?
Thanks

It's apparently one of the most sophisticated apps for root detection and security. There's no way of bypassing it apart from unrooting.

Why does it matter to them if I'm rooted or not? Seems stupid.

They say it's something to do with their contract with content providers - I think it's because they're just c*nts. It's the same with jailbroken iOS devices.
