[Q] Samsung Galaxy S+ I9001 - Broodrom problem

Dear users,
I just installed my SGS+ with a new rom:
Firmware version: 2.3.6
Baseband version: I9001XXKPI
Kernel version: 2.6.35.7-Feacore Phoenix ([email protected]#1)
Buildnumber: broodROM RC3 R2
it al works fine but I cann't install a thing because it keeps telling me that:
Error while downloading "Whatsapp Messenger". There is insufficent space on
the device.
Is there anyone who knows whats going on?

[SOLUTION] Failed to install the application ERROR: Failed to install to the USB drive or SD card. When you of the error you have just remove the SD ke Settings / Storage / Remove tarjete SD, then instalais the application in question and you turn to mount the SD and ready. PS: Do not know if it was already explained somewhere but I've gone crazy m looking for the solution, and for now this works 100%. I hope to be helpful

-I can receive Gtalk messages in notificationbar but there is no gtalk.apk ??? I cant open de conversations.

[Q] ICS on P1000 with HumberOS and AOKP

Dear Mates,
I have been using Roto rom and started using Overcome for almost a year now. Now I'm all excited again with AOKP for P1000 but after installing I do not see standard apps like Gmail and market. Please help coz new to honeycomb.

You need to flash gapps. Get it from HERE, copy it to your internal sdcard and flash it from cwm.

i have another issue with SD card, found out can install multi mount SD card. so followed instruction and install the multi mount(did not run) and install lucky patcher restarted the tab. But still can't access SD card via tab pr PC if I can using usb cable. Pls help

I'm using build #31. Is this Ice cream sandwich or honeycomb? I just followed others on the naming of the thread but the interface seems like honeycomb.Pls enlighten me. thx

Build 31 is based on android 4.0.4 so it's ice cream sandwich not honeycomb. As for the sd card issue, install root explorer or root browser lite (free from the market) and you'll find the contents of your external sdcard under /emmc or /mnt/emmc.

Dear all,
Thanks for all the answers, I can see my SD card via file explorers but still have problem seeing it via USB connection to PC. I have installed Multi SD Card but still same. Pls help

Hi,i flashed aokp ics build 31 on my sgt p1000 on stock gb.It installed properly,but m having few issues:
1.Cant find google play,gmail apps even after installing latest gapps from goo.
2.The stock browser doesnt render the pages properly and also doesnt fit the entire screen space.
3.The photos in the album r cropped and dont fill the entire screen.
4.The Galaxy tab settings app crashes evrytime i open it.
Plz suggest solutions.

I suggest you flash using overcome gb-stock safe V5 before flashing to AOKP ICS because stock gb using rfs so by using overcome gb-stock safe v5 it will convert the file system ext4

[Q] CM10 Nightly update help!

Greetings everyone this is my first post i tried searching but i couldn't find the right anwsers so I'm sorry if i missed something.
I'm running cm10 nightly but not the latest and im running semaphore latest kernel and now i want to update my nightly using the updater that comes with it i did a nandroid backup in CWM just in case and did the update first i noticed that my semaphore kernel got replaced with the cm stock one and then i noticed that my wifi bara were gray and google apps didnt work and all my contacts were erased since it didn't connect to my gmail i think then every time i rebooted it said insufficient space some operation didnt finish but it didnt say what i have more than enough space 2 gb at least.
My question is how to do the update properly without losing my kernel or do i have to re flash the kernel everytime I'm sorry I'm quite new at this i just got my i9000

As per title...
Where the hell do I find previous stuff from stock rom (apks downloads etc) on CM??
I have checked SD0 + SD1 , Legacy folders and all are empty
I do NOT have an SD Card if that helps

What is wrong? I rollback to ICS stock and don't fix the problem. So, I revert to CM 10.1 and none solution for this simple problem.

In my case, music players don't find the musics in /sdcard/Music. What do I do?

that was a bug in first cm10.1 nightlies. its solved now. but if u get back to stock and still not seein em. u may probably wiped it all.

I've been battling this GT-S5830V for 2 days:crying:... every thing has been a problem and it's the "V" in the model that's causing it from what I've read...
Android version 2.3.6 / Baseband version S5830VDULJ2 / Kernel version 2.6.35.7 [email protected]#1 / Build number GINGERBREAD.DULJ2
I've tried later roms and soft bricked it, it won't even let me put in CWRif I try too install that from the SD card it comes up with a status 7 error tmp/sideloader/ package....
Internal memory nearly full and want to partion my 16GB sd card and use link2sd to free up more memory . If I use Rom Manger to partion the sd card it crashes and re boot.
Is there a nice CyanogenMod Rom out there for this or other ideas welcome thanks....

I think that you own a GT-S5830i as base rebamed into GT-S5830V. That's why if you tried to install rom made for GT-S5830 you got into soft brick. Sto trying to flash rom or packages not made for your Ace or you'll brick it. Also I think so because only GT-S5830 came out with Gingebread. Look better around the web
