I have just installed the new version of the Nextgen+ custom rom (v3.4). It is my first custom rom im very happy with it but I have a problem.
If I play a game like Farm Frenzy 2 and i leave the game and enter then another time I must start from the beginning. I gave the game also the root rights. If I use the Freedom Marketplace and want to download an application then the download starts and as it has installed the app I couldn't find it. If I enter the for another time in the Freedom Marketplace it says me that an error occurred. But I think that this is an application error that is not related to the rom. I write to this Forum because I can't write in the Developer Post of Nextgen+ because I'm new and for that reason this is "forbidden" even if I do have the tecnical know.
I would be very pleased if you could help me at least with the first problem (the saving problem).

You can try WPH Tweaks XAP, download it from Bazzar marketplace and enable the dehydration hack. It should allow instant resuming on apps and games or try your app task switcher.
As far as downloading apps from the freedom marketplace, I think the Nextgen rom has Microsoft encrypted security certificates, so this would prevent any pirated apps.

Try opening the XAP deployer and click on the associate button and that should fix the problem with downloading XAP's

nope have not fixed it yet. seems like its a original dev phone but it came boxed brand new. in the mean time, the data sync does not open
and
system update gives the error - com.setting error or something like that..

However Gapps is not an .apk file. You need to flash Gapps with the help of a recovery ROM & for that you need to have Android SDK installed. If all this is latin and greek to you; you should visit here

I would also suggest you to go through ROM Bible sticky in this section.
Alternatively you can unzip gapps file and look for marketUpdater.apk in system>app folder and install it manually. I have not tried this method ever but you can give it a shot; it will not brick your phone.
Thanks for the answer guys, i think i have a dev phone had a look at the rom bible so i can root i . but i dont know what rc versoin the device is cos this does not exist in the build number as in post one. also can you recommend a stable rom update for a beginner.
at amitabhishek the first link you have posted does not work, also is there a way to root a dev phone, or is it already unlocked dont want to try a rom and brick the phone.

A little while back Cyanogen had a scuff with Google and they said that they could not use Google Apps in their ROM. So in order to keep doing what they do, they make the ROM without the Google Apps. However, you need to download the Google Addon Pack (http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/files/file/124-google-addon-mdpi-tiny-20101020/). And you should be able to view the Cyanogen forums. I know if you download anything directly from them you need to be registered, but registration is free so you shouldn't have an issue.

I'm developing my first application for android via Flash CS5.5 .
Well, everything looks ok (definitions) but when i try to publish an error occurred "Not enough space in your android device"... i have 200Mb free and my app only require 10Mb.
Nobody know's how to help me, but i discovered in Android Market website that there is no adobe air apk for my device (i have one adobe air that i downloaded from XDA forums).
I think this error is associated to this adobe air apk...
Please, android developers with XPeria X8, help here !
This should be in Q&A section, Rom's, Kernel's and Mod's here only.
I am not a dev, but most people frown upon threads in wrong section and it may limit the amount of help you recieve here.

Maybe it's because the stock 2.1 ROM that some apps do not install because of file size ...
Try installing another ROM using, preferably a 2.3 gingerbread ...
Or you can send me the APK, I do the test on my phone!

I have on or two .apk, but it always give me the same error.
I have a gingerbread ROM and still don't work.

i am looking for a current version of the windows phone version of WhatsApp.
I could not find anything via Google or on XDA, so I would appreciate if someone could pull the whatsapp cab or xap file from his windows phone and make it available here.

Sorry to bump into this old thread .. but could some1 please upload v2.0.0.0 Xap ...
Reason being that WhatsApp is showing Incompatible on all custom roms i install on samsung focus ....
Cant install from Marketplace please some1 help me out.
I got v1.1 wud hav been better if i get v2.0

No...this is the older version...the newer version seems to be more buggy and ppl want to revert to the old one.
Tried ver 2.0 and 2.8
Ver 2.0 works faster and better.

I tried to download whatsapp xap using Phone7Market today. It downloaded the file succesfully, but something seems to have changed, I can not open the file as a zip file any longer, not using 7zip, not by changing the file-ending...
Did Microsoft change to encrypted apps yet?
Don't they need to update the devices to do that?

Yes and yes.
Microsoft enabled PlayReady on all XAPs from the market now, they're encrypted. They did update the devices for this - Mango added support for PlayReady. So far it was just not turned on in their server side.

looks like Neonode N2 has "Windows Mobile 5.0" not "Windows Phone" OS.

Its a call manager app..like put a phone number on Blacklist if you don't want to pick up...
or if you reject someones call..it sends a text saying why and all....

try again...I have successfully installed it on my full rom unlocked HD7. The only problem once the app starts is that I see nothing else but Chinese.
Would be gr8 IF translated.....
If someone translates it to english. It would be a awesome addition to the phone.

After installing..how do I access it ?

I got it...there was some installation error...So at first it wasn't listed in the Programs List !

the call manager does help me
I have used the call manager for one year. And I remembered there are two versions on windows phone. And I will open the quiet model after 11 o'clocks. It does help, cuz my sleepness was often broken on midnight.. But the call manager has a bug, that is, the refuse call function effect a bit delay.
That's my using experience. I hope this will help you !!
