The latest official Dell Streak 7 Wifi only files are very hard to track down now-a-days. Everything I find is either missing from the host, or is now a link to spam. I can't say what happened to the files I used to have. I must have deleted them (dummy).
Does anyone have the latest stock wifi only files? Can I get a link? I'll save them this time I swear!

Thanks. Got everything running, except the external sdcard apparently isn't mounted. Anyone got a link for that? I'm up to 514, if that matters. I remember something about changing the vfolds.tabs, but that didn't seem to change anything.

That explains why it doesn't work.
I'm trying the process over, to see if I can get the sdcard to recognize. Currently I have flashed back to 2.2, but the camera still doesn't see the external card. Is this the "read only" issue that I've seen a bit about?
EDIT: Re-flashed 2.2 Froyo, went through set-up, mounted internal and external sdcards. Upped to 3.2 (506), checked camera and it worked. Upped to 3.2 (514), checked camera and it works.
I think I'm done screwing with this... for now anyway.
No, "read-only" means your device will no longer boot or can be flashed.

As of 5:08 est. I just signed on and it's downloading now. Tethering from my Bionic so it may take a while.
Does the update wipe all your installed apps? I've read that it does and that it doesn't, so I don't know what to think.
Woohoo! I'm downloading now. The anticipation is just too much.
Nothing yet
I just checked mine and still no update for the Wifi!!
Going to let it fully charge and see if that is the reason I don't get the page.
I don't have it yet either. Does getting it depend on your version mine is glunb1a133830.

They must be rolling it out slowly. I didn't check for one. It prompted me.
Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk
It's so far only rolling out for 340/344, same with the EU versions
340/344? Is that the three digits after B1A1? If so, I'm 338 also and nada.

whoever got it, just post the update link from the browser history.
I have everything right here
don't feel like dealing with the extra dl step. Trying to focus on the Phillies (ugh). Besides, if someone posts the complete glu or their download link we can do it in one step.

I have rooted a few devices in my time a xoom and a Samsung moment. So my question is what is the best way to root this phone? with the xoom I had to hook it up to the computer and run the sdk the moment was done with the handy updater with a new file loaded into it. I just havent seen a clear cut way to do it here theres some of the one clicks which honestly scare me. But beyond that?
This is your best way. Designed from the ground up and works flawlessly. Credit to mtmichaelson and all the guys he worked with to get this going.

It does work well, I have not found a list of lost functionality but there may be one. The one loss I know of is the 4Ghotshot, tether continues to work however.
The instructions in the linked thread are a little vague.
How Do I Root and Install CWM?:
1) Download zip and extract
2) Install drivers if not already installed
3) Click Root&RecoveryAIO.bat
4) Select what you would like to do

Where do you get the drivers and when it says click Root&RecoveryAIO.bat, is that an application like One Click or do you need to somehow install it?

You need the lg drivers for the revolution. Once you do that, plug the phone into the usb and select internet connection with usb debugging on and then simply follow the above steps. This is my first android phone and it was so easy thanks to MT for making it so easy.

There should be a folder inside of the zip labeled drivers. Check in there and run one of those. I downloaded them from the site posted earlier and put them in the zip.

Something's wrong my with N7. It won't update to 4.2 and when i try to restore it back to factory settings, I get a "EOCD Not Found" error message. How can I fix the issue?
It should have updated to 4.2.1 on its own before you even do wugs

When you downloaded the ROM, the download got screwed up, and therefore the zip wasn't signed correctly. Also if you unzip and rezip, it breaks signing. If it isn't signed correctly it wont flash. Its kind of like a safety so bad files do not get flashed and brick the phone. If you need help in fixing it i can help with that too, just ask.
