Samsung galaxy Ace S5380i

I have looked at a few threads already but nothing seems to be working, i have a s5380i i have followed a tutorial on this site but it didnt work for this device now its stuck on the boot screen i can acess 3e recovery and download mode. however when i try to use odin 4.38 (multidownloader) it is not recognizing the phone.
please could someone. give me clear concise instructions.
i cant seem to make sense of this phone.
i havent had any problems with my s2 , or n7000 before and im stumped please help

Odin doesn't recognize phone?

Not really..They boot but there are quite a few bugs

e: no such file or directory..
stuck on boot screen on boot.
multilauncher odin will not recognize the phone .
odin v1.85 will recognize..
S5830iXXLD3_S5830iBTULC1_S5830iXXLD2_HOME.tar << this is supposed to be the firmware for the ace what do i do with it. i will never try to put a rom on for a friend again.

I dont have a S-5830i :| This is what other users are telling..Bluetooth,and some calling problems i think,don't remember.

Flash with Odin.Search Youtube,the steps are same,only your files are different.

but how? i do not know how to. i'm unsure very unsure. .. ... it don't seem to be the same:/

Firstly you have to setup KİES on your Pc ;
You need Odin which is compatible for your mobile device , OPS file and Offical ROM ( from samfirmware ).
Be careful for 5830i selections because your for is very different from 5830.
Don't download any other rom from 5830i.
Just google pls.

Lol...Kies thing,its because Kies started,it would have worked if its process was not running in the bg.

when i install update show me update complete in recovery mode>>when i reboot my device not happened any change in version pllllllllllllllz help meeeeeeeeeeeeeee>>

your version will not be changed when you root your device you will have administrative right on your mobile if you have a supersuer app in the app drawer you are rooted

Try plug your phone to your computer and open kies. Then if there's update for your phone then click update and follow the steps.

I tried shows me no update available ..i think samsung kies shows offical update..i want update by odin ..when i connected my device pc show me plz connect your phone.

Firmware differences

Hey there,
So I really want to root my Galaxy S GT-I9000T with a baseband version I9000TDVJV5 but I cant find a way to root it! I have though found a way to root the Galaxy S with firmaware version XXJW4. It is different to mind and its all done via Odin... What I want to know is CAN I DO THIS?!

nope, just use an app IF you only need root, if it fails try another

Do you have also problem with 3G...because after the update I lost the connection to 3G network of Optus, and I don't know how to recover this! I try to install the stock modem drivers but I dont know how to do it. I think through the odin, but I didn't figure! Any help I 'll appreciate!

I had that problem! I just flashed a telstra rom then the firmwate againd it was all good

I do have a PC but the root for xxjvp that I tried doesn't have a tun.ko

Does it have busy box installed location to /system/bin and a tun.ko

I recommend to head over to Darkyrom.com and install
Darky Rom 10.2 Resurrection edition
Follow all their directions, and voila, rooted rom.
Then make a backup of your EFS folder (this saves your imei settings, important for making network connections) Sometimes those settings get lost and only way to get back is go back to stock or GB rom.
Then make a nandroid backup of that installation just in case! (It's a good practice to always make a nandroid backup before installing a new rom from then out.
Then you can installed almost any rom you wish to after that via CWM.
This has been the easiest, most simple way I have ever rooted a SGS.

Are you sure if the tun.ko is present or is compatible with the ROM you said there is no details about the modules in the description

actually i want to flash using odin.. i have samsung gio.. i think it same like gio.. but, there have different and i cant go to download mode,, my gio can go through it.. im still confused.. it is possible flash using kies?? but, im want flash using odin.. confused..

To go to download mode in Galaxy Gio hold the Volume Down button + the Home key button + Power button
Why don't you visit the Galaxy Gio Section...You will find better answer there..

no.. i mean.. on my gio.. i can do all of that.. but on ace(i) its too difficult.. i dont know how to do on ace.. gio is easy to do that.. im successfully doing all of that except ace(i)

Sorry i misundrstood...For Ace(i) to go to downloading mode you need to switch off your phone and press the Volume Up and Down button together and then the Power button...btw did you bricked your phone?

you can flash a 1 file rom bye ticking one package box in the software or let me find the tool to split the rom.
check this url that give you a tool to split your rom in 3 package and then flash it
