[Q] Able to root an SGS with a UGJL2 Build?

Hey guys,
so pretty simple question. Is there a way to root my SGS from bell which has a build UGJL2?

there are many ways to do it being on ugjl2 doesn't matter. I have a bell phone and i used super one click

Not development.
There are tons of tutorials and methods to do this. Please read before posting.

UGJL2 is not a problem. One click root app did it for me.

Yes I've read some of those threads, but i'm not sure which one is good. If you have any suggestions then can you please tell me?

SuperOneClick or Z4 Root are just fine...seriously, it's not hard, just search & read!!!

I used Superoneclick on my Bell. Worked fine.

It's habitual. I finish things through no matter how "annoyed" I may appear, I'm here because I wan't to be
If SuperOneClick didn't work for you then try Z4 root.
If all you need is root then 3e shouldn't matter at all, that only matters for recovery.
And the easiest way to get recovery (plus a lot more) is to flash a kernel like Voodoo or Hardcore like Odin.

I figured I'd make it so he couldn't miss it

You have to flash a custom kernel through odin to bypass the recovery 3e so you can get CWM to flash any custom rom

then install the update file like CM10 for jellybean..etc..

Root it..same link..
Then follow the steps to upgrade CM9/CM10...which ever you want..

You should always follow guide given by ROM developer of CM , where you intent to download the ROM, search for the ROM you want and a guide is always included http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1778526

Confirm first its direct rootable rom or not.

Yes, its directly rootable, check post # 2 on the link I provided above and download "I have Kernel KJ4 - Download this- and Extract" this file.
Connect phone to PC with USB debugging on and enable "unknown sources", and run the "not-rooted-yet.bat" and follow instructions.

Do you have Samsung drivers installed? also check if you are running some antivirus.

all 2.3.5 are directly rootable

Then follow what Jeetu said you earlier. (and yes do all with antivirus off, and i do recommend to redownload what file you have already download)

NO, this is not new discovery. You can flash cf root kernel to get rooted.(if you aware of rootgalaxynote.com, there is same method available till today) But method was not popular just because in era of gb rom yellow triangle and reseting counter was one of the most paimful task. But triangle away have totally change scenario.

I am not being lazy..my phone is galaxy SL...i am just helping my frnd in upgrading as he is not aware of it....i am not doing it for my sake...if u just cant help, pls dnt post words like that i am being lazy to search....i just asked which rom would be better? Thats it......

Last I checked, having a different phone doesn't inhibit your ability to search the forums... But to 'help' you,I like ICS/JB, I would recommend Wayland's CM ROMs

as currently it looks like you didn't which is why no replies were posted to begin with

He probably search root 4.1.2 AMC1 and hes probably new to android rooting and worry if the other thread without AMC1 listed would brick his device

This or the toolkit works on all fw.
If you feel like you still want ota or kies to work for updates... don't even try it if you can't even find root on your own
There's a lot more to know than just how to root it.

method should still be the same regardless of AMC or AMD or AMB ROM variant
