Just... HIGH - XPERIA X8 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys! Okay, I have the bootloader locked, so STOCK *laggy* KERNEL. Today I was playing with the CPU freq and It's says "DON'T PUT OVER THAN 749mzh", and I put to 806mzh, I the mobile DIDN'T reboot or anything, It's was TOO fast, not laggy in ANY part, and just wondering, Can I put those freq. to play games? It's risk? Because It's TOO high.
The 806mzh freq. was about one o two minutes...
806mzh are risk and unestable, right?
Thanks a lot guys!

Its safe ...for breakfast you know frying eggs , toast , all that requires hot stuff.
Nop man aint safe.

" Overclocking too high your phone decreases the lifetime of the phone!!! "
Anyway, when I was on stock kernel, I overclocked my phone to 806mhz as you, it didn't rebooted, I could play games without reboot. I used with GingerXperia V8, and it was really fast.

Thanks!
Thanks for answering! Okay, I think my phone it's going to explote RIGHT NOW, so, I just tryed
I'm not a lover of the games, I only use my phone to use the social applications, just when I'm in the school I want to play something FUNNY.
Okay guys, thanks for answering.
See you later! :good:

Anyone ever modded a PSP?

I have recently come across a PSP 1001 with system software 2.00
I know I can download my games to my memory stick so I don't have to total around so many umds, and I can play emulators.
I have no idea where to start, some people say to upgrade. To 6.xx and flash a cfw, but the cfw won't be permanent. How do I make this a permanent mod? I don't want to bar myself from any future possibilities by updating.
I'd love to help, but sorry... Never owned a psp
Sent from my HTC Desire
Google it, you need a custom firmware. Then look up how to play psp iso files from your hacked psp.
-Remember, Android hell is a real place and you will be sent there at the first sign of defiance-
Well, all I can find is how to mod a 6.39
I can help
i run a psp 2003 with cfw 5.50 prometheus.
just google "pandora battery"
and "cfw 6.20"
and "magic memory stick psp"
I still own both a hacked 1000 and a hacked 2000 model ....I used a magic memory stick and a Pandora battery, unfortunately the PSP hacking days were awhile ago, so I don't remember specifics :/
Sent from my HTC Droid Incredible with the XDA Premium App
I also own a hacked phat (1000) and slim (2000) psp.. Both modified with pandora battery and running 5.50 cfw right now.
My slim has a clear case and red sound reactive leds on the trigger buttons but its nothing compared to my friend's psp's... (see dennisC94 on youtube)

I tried once. Didnt boot. I then proceeded to run it over with a full size chevy and buy a new one.
Youre looking at a crackflashing troll with ORD
search on quickjump.net. you don't even need a pandora battery anymore, just download the correct files and transfer them to your mem stick, then do the correct steps in your xmb. google psp eggsploit
I'd like to thank you all. My PSP is now running cfw 6.39 pro-b8

Overheating Issue

Please help
I tried to watched a movie on my XSP but I couldn't watched it for a 10 mints. It got heated so much and I even couldn't touch my phone.
I was in ExsitenZ ROM and I tried the same with CM 10.1 also but got the same thing happened.
But earlier I watched movies on official Sony firmwares with minimum or no heating.
Can someone try this out (Watch a movie) and help me on how to avoid overheating issues.
Sent from my C5303 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Check the following:
- Original kernel of eXistenZ ROM? (probaly since im not sure if you unlocke your bootloader) > Impossible to oc
- Other apps running at 100%?
- No case or bumper on it? (can also heat it extra up)
I'm on unlocked boot loader. I initially used original stock kernel with CWM and TWERP and now use CM kernel.Normally I play movies via MX Player and I use a flip cover on my XP.I will check for background apps running. What other things I can do to avoid this extream heating.
Thank u very much for your reply.

What is "overheating" for you? My phone gets over 49°c while playing Ingress o Real Racing 3. October 17: I was playing while waiting for a customer, and all of a sudden the phone started to get really REALLY hot. Over 52 degrees celcius on 100% stock Sony, just rooted. Locked bootloader, stock kernel stock everythinh and still overheats

(Left down corner is temp ) I was watching livestream . My phone have 85° . Please help.
Go back to stock ROM. Stop using alpha/beta custom firmware when you don't even know how to safely handle overheating. Also NEVER overclock.
If you still have heat after flashing stock Ftf, you have permanently damaged your device from overclocking/unstable kernels.

Mine goes to 75 while watching youtube 1080p I am on clean cm12.1 without any mods or overclocking. And I never overclocked. I dont know why it gets so hot. While idle its around 38-41

Cm12.1 is not "clean", it's got a custom kernel. I went back to stock for this reason. I can watch 1080p video and play intensive games on stock firmware + kernel, barely gets warm but was getting too hot on anything else!

Undervolting and Kernel Settings Discussion

I've been wondering about what to expect when undervolting. There's only one kernel for this phone that I know of, the Render one; if there are more, feel free to point them out. Additionally, what kind of global offsets can I expect, and what are your settings?

Does anybody tried undervolting yet ? Is it worth to play around with lower values and save some juice or not ?

i've tryed to set lower voltage setting via kernel auditor on custom Krait kernel but, as i think, had random reboots while CPU loading growed up in short time...
Still testing on new kernel build

No undervolting but try interative governor tweaks. There is a guide how to in Nexus 5X general.
