It is not recommended to use phone while on charging (battery point of view), calibrate battery now and hopefully issue will be resolved. Let the battery die completely and then full charge it (switched off if possible).

Hi,
How long does it usually take u guys to recharge ur note from dead or almost?
It took mine. Over 8 hours to charge from 12%.
Also if keep my note on charge but im usimg it for browsing or whatever, my note still dischares.
Is this normal for the note as my htc Desire didnt diacharge while using it while connected to the charger.
Thanks
Neil

Hmmm I've never really timed it but its gotta be around 4hrs for a full charge.
I have been playing Stardom even when charging and it gains battery.
That doesn't sound normal at all.
If u r charging from USB port den its possible. Charging from ac will be a different story
Sent from my GT-N7000 using XDA
Charging by USB is at around 12% per hour, so it does take 8 hours.
Charging by a/c is upwards of 35%/hr.
Some of the apps usage would demand battery usage at 20-25% per hour, so if your battery usage is more than your charging rate then you would be losing battery which is what might have happened when you are using USB charging etc.
If your stats are for a/c charging, then I suspect the charger.
Yeah i charged for 8 hours with ac and also got discharge while using the note and charging.

Depends on what you are using for, but it still doesn't sound right.
Mine charges from 5% to full in about 3 hours when it's just sitting
on the table and I'm just using it for a phone call every now and then.
charging shouldn't take more than 4 hours when done from an AC outlet. just check if you have original batteries and charger. if not, take it to the shop and get it replaced immediately. 8 hours is just too much.

Im using the stock charger.
Rocket rom / Abyss 4.2 kernel
And battery life was around 20% after around 14 hours then i put it on charge and used it for about an hour but it discharged to 12%.
I am using the device heavily at the moment as ive had it only a few day.

When you are using it heavily while charging it might be normal,
try leaving it alone while charging for one cycle, that'll give you
an indication.
If it's still substantially higher than 3 to 4 hours under these circumstances
you've got a problem, either battery or charger have an issue, or there's an
app sucking battery like hell.
as said, 3-4 hours is normal. Do you have a battery drain issue when in normal use? if yes, then u can use betterbatterystats to check which process is using the juice.
Also, its advisable (in the first cycle after flashing a rom) to charge the phone with switched off. After full charge, take out the battery, wait for 1 min , reinsert & restart. This will help to reset the battery & start afresh.
From 8% to 100% with the charger it took me less than 3 hours.
I only charge by USB on my PC and its never taken close to 8 hrs for a full charge..
The only time charging has taken a very long time for me is when I ran a ICS ROM.
So i did a charge with my usb cable and it tool half the time. Maybw theres a problemwith my ac charger.

use a different charger, i put it down to a **** charger from samsung as mine did the same, woudl discharge even tho was supposedly plugged in and charged
I have noticed in many roms which I tried.......our galaxy ace does not show correct battery %........when I put my ace for charging at 15-20% .......when I check after 5-10 mins battery jumps to directly 55-60%.....and when I remove charge battery drains suddenly to 25-30%.
And when I left my phone for charging for more than 30-40mins phone says that it is charged!!! Wtf
And experiencing sudden drain to 60-70%!
Can anyone help to improve that!!!

after waking up charged phone for about 25 minutes and my phone was alive for 9 hours with some 10 texts and 15 min call
Man, if you wanna stay out of this inconsistent battery readings then just blindly charge your phone for more than 2 and half hours. Also use, "Battery Calibration" after full charge every week.

So, my OB's battery drains too fast...after I unplugged it at 100% it went to 99% within a minute of use and so on...so basically I lose like 1% per 1 minute. WTF?
Using IZS ROM. No widgets. No apps that eats battery, Phone goes in deep-sleep so it's not a problem.
EDIT : Not good to answer after playing Silent Hill.

i noticed that too.
but i must say that even tho it goes down 1% after charge ends, i still see good battery life, at least for me.
yesterday 3/2 the battery drained around 60% in 18h30m of use. i had around 47 minutes of call, around 1 hrs of wi-fi, took few pics with camera.
today 4/2 i didnt see the batt. goes 1% less when disconnecting the charger, plus had few calls no wifi or data use, and more camera use then before and the batt went around 20% less since morning in about 8 hrs total use time.
btw i can i take SS in this rom, i know the zeus v6.4 i pressed vol- and power and it took SS, what can i do now? only dl from market??
Hi,
Hey i am using my note for a year now, and my phones battery got swelled, with some discussion on xda i was adviced to replace my battery which i did with another original samsungs battery. Now this new battery is charging and discharging fine, and is giving me an on screen time of 5 hours with constant messaging and music and some browsing, the issue that i am having is of battery indication and screen flickering.
First the screen flickering issue, whenever i am below 20 % my screen starts to flicker and it keeps on flickering till the phone dies, sometimes even at 15%. Then when i tried to charge it, it charges from 0.
At times when i partially charge my phone, say i am on 50% and then when i unplug my phone at 60%, it then shows 75% indication but then the flickering starts at 30% and phone dies at 26%.
The battery is giving average time so i think its not a battery issue or maybe it is.
But then i mostly found it a battery indication issue, i read multiple threads and even wiped my battery status. but the issue is the same.
may be give it a few charging cycles.. charge it from 0 to 100 with phone off.. till it says completely charged.. then check the performance..

Well yes its from samsungs outlet, dated and stamped.. otherwise the battery indicators and every other stat is good. On full charge it has 4.320 V. Discharging equally to 2.8 V. But indications is not going according to the drain and flickering at low %.

I am having a similar issue where my screen will flicker for a minute and then immediately turn off and charge from 0%. I was wondering if it could be a kernel issue as my battery is the stock battery and has never had problems before (I am on XXLSC). To me it looks like the battery is not getting enough power (hence the flickering) and then turns off. Sometimes if I turn off my phone as soon as it starts to flicker and I wait 10-15 minutes I can turn it back on no problem, other times it will just die. I have tried clearing battery stats, and was going to try my spare battery but apparently that swelled in storage.
Good luck in figuring it out! I will report back if I find anything new.

4320volt, interesting, I think its faulty, its off about 120 volts. If it depletes at a higher voltage, it looks like something is astray with the meter/level indication or battery

Sorry for the confusion it actually was 4320 mV or 4.320 v when full charged.
Let me post some screen shots. The overall on screen time is around 5 hours. So the battery is giving a good timming.

Hey guys
I just want to tell you my battery cycle drain .. I always have bluetooth turned on my gear but not necessarily all the time connected to my phone .. well the cycle from 100% to 0% was 35 hours..
Is my watch draining fast or is the drainage normal?
Thanks in advance
Sent from my GT-N7100 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
There really is no "normal" discharge rate. Discharge rates will be different for everyone because everyone uses the watch differently. If you can go more then a day without charging, your getting good performance. Or not using it much.
