Updating problems (Stock GB to Stock ICS) - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I recently went from custom ICS roms to stock gingerbread. I am having troubles trying to get the phone to update through wi-fi and Kies. When I try to update on the phone through wifi it says there is "no software update available". When connecting the Note with Kies it says "Your device does not support software upgrading via Kies". Anyone else had this problem?
The ROM I flashed via ODIN is:
N7000XXKK9 ------ 2.3.6 2011 November------- N7000OXAKK9 -----------------Germany (Debitel) -------------------
I know I can just update via ODIN but I would like OTA updating to work.

Download OPEN Germany from three followinf link and you will have no issue with OTA
just flash 4.0.4 direct...since you are already on GB
do you need root? If so then instead flash the pre rooted GB rom on the same page... and yoi can use mobile odin then to wipe flash the 4.0.4 with everroot and supersu... That is what i would do...
Be sure to use a safe kernel if you plan on doing any wipes on ics

Well I forgot to mention that I did flash the 4.0.3 Open Germany version before. When I did that it still did not detect an update. Would that be fixed with the 4.0.4 version?

search preconditions for updating. Dont remember where I posted them, but of can comply to those it shouldnt be an issue

Well I read your preconditions and am not sure if I have everything correct. All I've done is flash the 4.0.4 stock ROM with Odin and still get the problem with Kies. Is there more I need to do?

why dont you keep updating via odin, Its faster then Kies.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2

I'm currently trying to sell the phone and the buyer may not want to do it that way. Rather than through Kies, I'm hoping to just get updating through the phone to be working. But I could just tell them to update through Odin if no solution is found.

Anyone have a solution to this problem?

Go by them one by one and eliminate them. If you cant figure one out, then ask
preconditions for update ota/kies
No root(for ota it doesnt matter)
All codes intact (imei, pcode)
All components installed of same rom and version of rom that was distributed through Kies or ota.
Rom csc must match the installed rom. Most updates aren't available because for phone csc there is no update. This is the csc obtainable throught dialing *#06# for imei then dial *#272*yourimeihere#. Note changing csc triggers factory reset, so do from save kernel should you like to change.

have you reset your counter binary ?

Okay, now I feel dumb. Guess every problem/fix isn't always so technical. Believe problem was the wrong country/region was selected on the Samsung agreement and hadn't changed until I did a factory reset.

Okay, so I guess that wasn't the problem. A Singapore ROM had just happened to work while the others did not.

Edit2: Dudes remember do resets wipes only on safe kernels... Best done from gb.
Edit: made a way that could work for yah. Checking preconditions with some of the how to is a must. It saves following procedure. Anyway if you get stuck, follow this advice.
A way to get updatability functional throught Kies/OTA.
Restore efs backup of condition when first bought phone.
If none made, root phone and make one now safe multiple locations. (of the phone)
Then, if you know csc phone came with, download a rom for that csc, earliest gb possible, one that was distributed throught Kies or Ota. See www.sammobile.com for that. it shows a kies logo next to the rom in the firmware section. That is the one we are looking for. Should have in the zipfile a single tar file.
Now get a standard pit file and flash throught pc odin the rom with the pitfile. See dr ketans thread in sticky section development for that on how to do it. Do this all without external sd card or simcard in phone, never select clear efs in pc odin.
If phone doesnt reboot head into recovery and factory reset and clear cache. Reboot. After phone reboot dial *2767*3855# for ultimate factory reset. Do not change anything to the rom, no cf or modded kernel or different modem. You will lose all data.
Now after this completes,
Check imei, check csc as described earlier. All intact and inline with rom? Good, if not, select the csc of the rom press instal and let phone reboot.
Now check pcode:dial *2767*4387264636# this should be same as rom, and filled in. Pcode correct? Good.
Now you dont have root, codes correct, and an updatable rom.
Hook up to Kies and or ota update it!
You might need to check with different versions of roms(preferably gb to be safe). I found some weren't directly updatable, dont know why.
Notes
If imei is gone, reflash efs backup,
If nulls on entry with keyboard select the tar file in pcodin in cache and flash)
If pcode different, you can change, but search on how to edit it on computer with hex editor. Pm me if this is the case. I hope not. In the end its easier to start over with a rom matching that pcode that is there and selecting the coresponding csc
ps I have done this multiple times, all based on experience and countless hours figuring out how to fix it so I have way back should I want to sell phone in working condition.
All at own risk, I am trying to help, but can't guarantee anything, what worked for me may not work for others

I have been able to update from kies 3 times now, but last release just doesn't work.
My original CSC was ZTA, then I changed it to DBT when it was on 2.3.5 (GB).
Kies let me update from 2.3.5 to 2.3.6 to 4.0.3, then to 4.0.4 (I am currently on XXLRK, CSC DBT).
Now, kies says:
Your device does not support software upgrading via Kies.
Current firmware version: N7000XXLRK/N7000DBTLRK/N7000XXLRK/N7000XXLRK (ZTA)
How does it know my device was originally ZTA?
Why have I been able to upgrade via Kies so far and last update Kies says I can't upgrade?
Thanks in advance.

Kies has an update of itself as well from time to time and it retains and detects your very original copy of your ROM in its system (before you change your csc to DBT- Germany?)
Comparing it with the initial(checksum) and with your latest ROM upgrade, KIES sees some anomaly on your latest ROM (since its not on the right tree path), therefore its telling you now, your latest ROM is not supported anymore.
You were able to fool the software before.. but it's not going to be fooled second time already. Either you can revert back to your original CSC and upgrade it again thru kies (on the right tree path) or the second option would be to use PC /mobile Odin from now on to upgrade (to the firmware/ROM of your choice).

Or you can clean install kies, take out all registry keys files etc. But thats to much hastle

yep that sucks good luck!
Kor is default csc for I think Asians rom, or Korean. If csc of phone is not present it defaults to a default csc in rom. Its funny.
Messed up many times. Be safe
You can select your choice csc rom tar file in cache in pc odin, flash and then its selectable, be on safe kernel or gb rom just in case

I've got 2.2 XXJPK (KOR), but not root. How do I fix CSC and update it via Kies?

Current firmware version: PDA:JPK / PHONE:JPK / CSC:JPK (KOR)
I uninstalled Kies 2.0.0.11014_49_2 and am now running 1.5.3.10093.82 (no reghacks yet). Obviously neither version of Kies would upgrade the firmware.
I see this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=787163
Except the phone is not rooted. The phone is an international I9000 from Europe (not sure where as I'm in Asia and I bought it used outside of Europe). I'm assuming it's originally XEU but I don't know (also I see reports that official Kies flash for XEU has changed the CSC to KOR before for other people and as my phone is not rooted, I assume it had to have been an official Kies update that did this).
I've already installed a bunch of apps and stuff on it, in case that complicates anything.
On the phone there is an "nv_data.bin.orig" in the main phone directory (the phone is not rooted, I installed Titanium Backup which confirmed it wasn't).
What can I do? Can I see what CSC is in that nv_data.bin.org? And revert the phone to that, and then run Kies to get 2.2.1?
Thanks for any help!
EDIT: Damn. I opened that file in Notepad and searched for the string "HKD" and found it still said HKDKOR, so I guess this is a backup of the current version which won't help me
I ran the Registry Patcher 1.7 with the previous version of Kies and it still won't let me update the phone. =\
First ROOT THAT THING!!! And backup your efs folder.
Then change your CSC to something properly.
The old 1.5 Kies was reported not working (somehow blocked via Sammy so you have to use the new one). So your only way is spoofing the new one (which I heard didnt work, just showed the new FW didnt allow to install) or to change the CSC.
Couple of things.
First what rom you have?
Kernel?
3 button recovery/download?
Did you apply any lagfix?
Dont do any of this till you reply to my questions!
1. Rooting with super one click root. This should be relatively safe even if you did something stupid before.
2. Backup efs folder so you dont loose your imei , this is kinda crucial as it happens from to time(on what you are about to do) and since you bought in europe you would be literaly f.cked . (after root use sgs tools or toolbox, whatever is in market) and send the backup to your PC, USB, mail wherever is safe, not just your phone.
3. If you dont wanna go custom and keep the stock. Well choose the best CSC you would like what would fit you. and check if it also has already froyo 2.2.1 good page is http://www.samfirmware.com/ (I changed mine which was IRD and changed it to XEU as that having updates sooner) . since I have no idea which rom you have, it might even work with that old code which is in SGS toolbox /tools or you use the automatic one from the thread you posted in the first post, the method wiht the IMEI and code.
Anyway dont forget to answer the questions before you do anything. So you dont end up with a useless brick
I rooted it before I saw your post using the CF-Root then used My Backup Root to backup all the Apps + Data.
I haven't done anything else yet. I just got SGS Toolbox, it says:
code in nv_data.bin
HKDKOR
code in nv_data.bak
HKDO2U
Okay, I backed up the efs folder.
Should I change the CSC with SGSToolbox and will that lose all my apps/data? And then I can use new 2.0 Kies to update to 2.2.1?
Or should I flash with 2.2.1 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=12159821&postcount=145

To the loosing, you wrote you did the mybackup thing, so you can use that backup (not on system apps and settings, that might go wrong, but apps, your custom launcher etc)
The changing of CSC (or flashing via Odin I think) or even a rom upgrade is mostly connected with the loosing of everything, even if you dont , a factory reset is recommended so there is no leftover garbage.
So if I was you. I would change my CSC to something nice. Like XEU (or NEE) and then upgrade via Kies. (Not sure NEE might be possible, but you can always try).
But its up to you if you do the ODIN or Kies. Not sure if kies will work and never used odin
Do you know if NEE lets you use English (US) for language?
EDIT: Nevermind!
Post number 17 in that NEE thread where you asked . http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=12135204&postcount=17

[Q] empty pda and csc fields after update

hello everyone,
I recently purchased my galaxy tab in dubai and could not update through kies as i got the following message "This version of device cannot be updated".
Then i flashed xxjq1 along with bootloaders from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1073854 and the gt-p1000_mr_PIT.zip files. now everything works fine but the csc and pda fields are empty.
How can i get the pda and csc fields back. I want to flash the dxjpe firmware as this is the 2.3.3 asian version i found. Will this bring my csc and pda fields back to normal. Will this enable me to update future updates via kies.
Aren't you supposed to boot immediately into recovery after you flash the rom? That installs the csc files. Double check the instructions.
so can i go ahead and flash the dxjpe firmware , will this reinstate my csc files, and what pit file i need to use with this.
hopefully it would fix your problem. as for pit for the dxjpe use (GT-P1000_M.PIT)
I got the error when downgrading and flashing signed bootloaders... Rolling back from GB to froyo gave me that error... I suggest unsigning the bootloader then flashing again...

Your post no. 1 is confusing. You said you flashed to JQ1 yet the attachment says JM3. Anyway use this (by noxxious) procedure to get into a ROM without rooting then update thru kies.
The attachment showed the message displayed by kies when i wanted to update my gtab after purchasing. Since i could not officially update using kies i opted for manual flashing

Just follow the link above to downgrade to JK2 which is a version with unsigned bootloader. Then update thru kies. Kies should be able to detect your firmware as upgradable to JPE.
Good luck!
This happened with me after a soft brick. Reboot into recovery and see if CSC is installed, if not do a factory reset. For me flashing a stock firmware fixed it for me.

Right, I reminded him a while ago after flashing to immediately go into recovery to get the csc files installed. The JQ1thread has clear instructions.
Don't worry about that other rom yet - by correctly flashing JQ1 you will have the complete system and safe bootloaders. Once that's done, you can go in any direction.

[Q] Help me identify / upgrade my GT-N7000

I am in the US. I received a Galaxy Note as a gift. Purchased off NewEgg, sometime in December, allegedly from Canada, but I think that was a lie.
Samsung USA and Samsung Canada both denied the existence of this model.
Version page says: imgur.com/QezuO
PDA: N7000XXKK9
PHONE: N7000XXKK5
CSC: N7000OJVKK2
Kernel version: 2.6.35.7-N7000XXKK9-CL725676 [email protected] #2
Build number: GINGERBREAD.XXKK9
My carrier is T-Mobile, with terrible, terrible data connection. (No 3G)
Will it be possible to receive OTA updates even though T-Mobile has never heard of it?
Kies says the device is unsupported. Is it possible to straighten that out?
Finally, if I need to use Odin, or some other tool to flash a ROM, how can I do a full backup first?

That's fascinating. Not the sketchiest place it could have come from, but definitely not Canada. It looks like the January update missed South Africa.
So, where does that leave me as far as updating my firmware?
Will it update on its own when S. African devices get the update? Is there any way I can connect it to Kies? Is there any benefit and/or risk to reflashing it to another region?

If you root your Note as mentioned above, you can forget about Kies (which is a piece of ****e, BTW), and flash any stock or custom Rom you like. Just check the Dev section and you'll find a wide choice of both.

Too many choices. :-/
Since I posted this thread, I have:
1. Learned a huge amount about my phone and how it works internally.
2. Rooted my phone using the ZergRush script.
3. Backed up everything on my phone using Titanium Backup.
4. Installed Odin Pro
Now, I have to decide which Firmware to install. I'd prefer a stock ROM, since I like the stock UI and apps.
It sounds like I have to change my CSC code to continue? Since there is only one ROM for my CSC. Will this step wipe my phone?
Are there any reasons to prefer one region's ROM over another? "Open" sounds like a good thing. Does it matter?
Don't worry about changing the csc. Its always an option, but entirely unnecessary unless you want to go full stock and remain unrooted. If your csc matches the csc of the official rom you have installed, you'll get kies/ota updates for that region (with dbt probably being the best one)
However, if you always want to flash the latest official firmware via mobile odin, regardless of region, and retain root, your csc is irrelevant.
It doesn't matter which rom you use from the list. I'm currently on the Germany lb1 rom, and the only difference is that the initial 'touch the Android to begin' screen was in German. There's a button on that screen to select your language from a list.

You were supposed to. Let me explain:
It's always a good practice to start clean when flashing new Roms (unless the Rom developer doesn't specify otherwise). So, the usual procedure before flashing new Roms is:
1. reboot to CWM recovery
2. factory reset
3. wipe cache
4. advanced/wipe dalvik cache
5. flash Rom zip
When you flash a Rom over another Rom without a full wipe (the little procedure above), you may face issues like FCs, old Rom components still present, random reboots and whatnot. I'm not saying these problems have to happen, but they may.
I actually just wiped mine. I switched the CSC to match the ROM I'm using. I was hoping this would get Kies to talk to it. I don't know why I'm so obsessed with making things work as the manufacturer intended!
Restoring stuff now.
Well there are no apparent benefits with KIES recognizing your device and force updates on them, coz doing so would "unroot" your phone.
So if you want to keep root, just download the stock ROM and use CWM manager to flash it. And this definitely is not how the manufacturer intends it to be, because he never wants you to be "root" in the first place.

Hello, Thanks for reply does that anwer was for me? if yes I am still worry about what rom should I download would any of those work?
Yes any GB rom for N7000 will work
lol, people
your on gn, first find product code, use the google search. The one that brings up sell code.
Now you have your pcode, that tels you what device
then dial and note your emei
*#06#
then with your emei
*#272*yourimei#
Now you have csc.
Whatever you do. If you root or plan to flash roms, backup your efs, on and off the phone.
Dont wipe on ics/jb because of brickbug. This includes changing csc, factory reset etc

Dial *#06# that will show hour emei. Write it down, then dial *#272*yourimeinumberhere# that will show your csc, you can change it here, it will wipe your data thought.
Dependant on your rom, you will be able to change it. Then it is still no guarantee update is available thought kies or ota. You can then download rom from sammobile.com. Notice thought all current ics have bug for note, that when you do a factory reset, wipe data or wipe from cwm can brick your phone. So judge if its worth the risk. If I were you I would wait or download cm9, they build a kernel without the bug. Note thought either way you can get warrantee issues

There are stock multicsc. Without root you can flash it throught pc odin. Then you can update after changing csc or flash the rom you want emediately
All at own risk

patience people, just follow what the dude above said. I am from the Philippines but my csc is from Poland (xeo).
same issue
I am also from Pakistan. The note that I bought is an Arabian distribution with jpla1 ROM. I am also not receiving the update. Though I got the previous update via it's from 2.3.5 to 2.3.6. What do we do now what do we do???

See my post above, only thing you can do is wait for csc arabian ics, or change csc.
Reposted steps, you will lose data.
Download stock gb rom from country which has csc and ics. Flash it throught pc odin. Perform factory reset from dialer. Change csc with steps I posted before. To make sure right one is selected.
Then update throught kies or if available ota. If no update is available, screw it and download ics rom, flash through pc odin, do not select repartition if you dont have pit file. Do not select clear efs.
Extra info:
I cs or gb rom stock roms, unzip them, should be single tar. Md5 file. In pc odin put these in pda. For flashing phone needs to be in download mode. Press volume down, power and home button simultaniously and keep pressed when phone is booting. Then when it shows download mode connect to pc and open odin. Sometimes takes couple tries press volume button up to confirm dowload mode. Now you can start
Flashing. It takes some time, do not disconnect phone. Wait till odin says passed.
Now you have lost warrantee, all at own risk, but upside you could have working ics. Note do not restore backups as they will most likely cause battery drain and errors.
Do not ever perform reset or factory reset from ics, with any app, not even samsung cause it could brick your phone.
If this helped you can donate to my favourife devs neobuddy, xplodwild and hardcore and Imilka

Guys, Im sorry you find rooting and such hard.
I installed ICS and I love it. Its very nice and havent found anything wrong with it.
Now, this method I am going to show you will put ICS ontop of your Gingerbread, so you will keep your settings, apps and other things. Its easy and only a few things to do, so, lets get started:
Download the ICS rom (hong kong): HERE
Then copy it to your phone
Now for rooting:
Download the Files first and put in your SDCARD CWM, SU-BusyBox
Reboot to recovery (hold vol up, power and home)
Choose and apply the CWM update.
Then do the same with SU.
Choose and Install SU-Busybox-Installer.zip
You are now rooted.
Reboot.
Download and install Mobile Odin.
After installing this, open it and grant it superuser permissions.
Scroll down to open file, select your file and press ok.
Select inject enable everroot, and everything below it, then press flash firmware.
Do a MD5 check if you wish (dont have to, but it is best).
Then after 2-3mins, it should install and reboot.
After reboot, it will take ~5mins to startup as the applications need to be altered for ICS.
So, hopefully, you did that right and now you have ICS!
(Credit for these files go to dr.ketan)

How did you do that ? My CSC code shows its from Poland. Will changing the CSC code to Germany will make it get the update ?
Or if there is any other way please do tell.
Actually flashing a ROM is not that difficult. Just follow what the senior member's post. Follow step by step and you will lead to success. Try few more times and you will be used to it. Don't worry about the binary count as we can reset the binary count using Triangle away and binary reset.
I flash my SGN more than 15 times, keep flashing till I get the fastest ROM I wanted. From GB, German ICS, CM9, Rocket ROM, Criskelo, Litening ROM..
Now I stick to KingDriod. This ROM is damn fast.. Can give it a try..
Cheers..
No need to apply roms

[Q] Question about upgrading to ICS OTA vs ICS via Kies and safety concerns

I'm very confused by all the conflicting reports about ICS and the eMMC bug. I have OTA available but have been putting off upgrading to ICS for a) fear of the bug and b) utter confusion as to what the best way to upgrade is.
I have stock GB. I do not intend to root or mod my phone just yet.
Would really appreciate it if someone more knowledgeable would help me out. I have a bunch of questions:
1. I read that deleting large files could trigger the bug, but can't find any actual reports of that happening. I also know that Samsung was unable to reproduce this bug with stock phones. Is stock ICS safe if I don't root, mod or wipe my phone?
2. Is there a difference between installing ICS OTA or via Kies? Someone was saying that OTA merely patches your current firmware, Kies flashes the full ROM over. Which is better/less buggy? Is there effectively no difference?
3. Would you recommend I wipe my phone in GB before updating? Is that necessary for a bug free install, or is that a myth?
I would also like answers to this.
1. ICS is perfectly safe to use if you dont do any wipes, factory reset etc.
2. No idea tbh.
3. Yes its recommended to do a factory reset while still in GB. To get a clean system before upgrading to ICS.
i usually update with pc odin and download the rom with checkfus, ics is safe just dont do any wipes as i do not believe that the emmc bug has been repaired so better to be safe than sorry
i have never done an ota so cant answer that one
i have flashed a few roms on my gtn7000 without doing any wipes i have done a factory reset while on ics
I'd do a full wipe either before or after the upgrade, i had a few small issues street upgrading to the German rom that this fixed.
I wouldn't worry massively about bricking your phone. If you haven't rooted or installed a custom ROM, worst case scenario is that you get a new phone. Factory resets are a normal function of the phone, and the only people who really need to worry are people who have modified their phone by rooting/custom rom.
Anyone else who ends up with a dead phone would have every right to demand a replacement. Just be sure to keep anything important on an external sd card, or backed up regularly to a pc.

I also need help!

I was thinking of upgrading to ICS via KIES.
From what I gather...
1. Though I didn't find a definitive YES, STOCK ICS via KIES has eMMC bug, what I found is everypost is saying DON'T WIPE / FACTORY RESET even if it is STOCK ICS via KIES.
2. I assume no difference?
3. Above post says recommended to do a wipe before updating.
My question is:
How do I go back to GB rom once I update STOCK ICS (in case I don't like it.) Would it be through PC ODIN>Flash STOCK GB ROM?
Or would it be Root current ICS ROM, flash Abyss Kernel, revert back to GB ROM, in that case, how do I root the updated ICS ROM?

1. Stock ICS is perfectly safe.. eMMC is a bug on the Exynos chip and it is usually triggered when you do a full wipe on your phone. Kies flashes but it does not do a full wipe on your phone. Stock ICS is better than GB. Overall, it's pretty much smoother than what I've experienced with GB before.
2. ICS OTA and via KIES? no difference at all. Only difference is that, with OTA, depending on your HSDPA/3G/LTE network connection and the amount of battery power on your phone. With Kies? it's much better updating thru it as you have the comfortable and suitable time as the firmware will be downloaded (in your computer) w/o the hassles of looking if your phone's battery would conked out (with OTA update that is)
3. I would recommend you start in stock all GB first before doing the necessary upgrade.
Cheers,
I am in Canada with an international phone with the newest stock GB - never put anything else but OTA stock updates on the phone. I got a OTA for ICS, while watching tv I used my in house wireless to update, was simply and relatively fast. Have been using the update for 2 days no issues: songs and apps were all there as was all other data, just had to re-setup icons, wallpaper. No issues with Skype, battery, wifi so far. Haven't found one broken or erroring app - ICS is clean and efficient - biggest issue so far is the extra confirmation buttons on going in and out of 3G using touch wiz press and hold power button.

I've just update my cell using OTA, I have a Galaxy Note N7000 and I upgrade to 4.0.4 ICS Android, I've seen videos in Youtube and I've found at least two differences:
-The gallery is suposed to be new with fancy 3D effects, mine is the just the same that I had before
-You're suposed to get a video playing in front while using multitask (mesages, phone,...), my video plays just like the old version :crying:
Now I don't know what to do, I want the complete new ROM, ¿Can I install it with Odin? ¿Can I install with Odin the version 4.0.4 on a phone tha already has 4.0.4? ¿Should I downgrade my ROM and upgrade later? ¿How do I do that? ¿Can I reinstall 4.0.4 with Kies?
no u cant reinstall a firmware with kies until there is a new upgrade available
u can download the latest firmware from www.sammobile.com and install it with Odin..
its perfectly fine to install a 4.0.4 over 4.0.4.. there is no need to downgrade... just make sure till u r on the stock kernel.. donot perform any wipes
DBT in CSC
It wasn't a problem with OTA update, my phone had CSC from France (XEF), so, the update wasn't the last one.
I download the Germany firmware (DBT) and now I have fancy 3D gallery and video with multitask, but I try to change my CSC (with *#272*imei#*) to DBT for getting new updates from Kies but I don't have the option DBT, only TGY from Hong Kong.
Is there a way to get DBT in my CSC?
I try reinstalling the firmware but it didn´t work, is there a file for Odin that install DBT in CSC?
may be u can try installing the ROM again by select it in the CSC tab of odin
DBT in CSC
The problem wasn't the OTA update, I found that my phone is from France (XEF) and the update isn't the last one, I installed the Germany firmware (DBT) and the gallery and video with multitask was working.
Now I have another problem, I tryed to change my CSC to DBT (with *#272*imei#*) but I only have the choice XEF. Now I want to change it to DBT in order to get updates from Kies but I don't know how.
Can I change my CSC to DBT with ODIN? Is there a md5 file to do this? How can I change it?
Ya thats wat i am saying.. Use the same firmware file rhat u flashd. This time select it in the csc tab of odin and flash it. Then go to *272*imei# and chekc if u have dbt there

I don't know why, I try also with GT-N7000-MULTI-CSC-OZSLPF.tar.md5 and this works, but this is from Hong Kong and Taiwan...
If GT-N7000-MULTI-CSC-OZSLPF.tar.md5 works I don't know why GT-N7000-MULTI-CSC-OXALC1.tar.md5 doesn't. I'm going to try with GT-N7000-MULTI-CSC-OXAKL8.tar.md5 that I found. I'll tell you later if it worked.

This is what I did:
1) I download the 4.0.3 version for Germany N7000XXLPY_N7000OXALPY_DBT from:
http://www.hotfile.com/dl/155490069/c7932d4/N7000XXLPY_N7000OXALPY_DBT.zip.html
2) I uncompressed it and get the md5 file, I uncompressed this archive in ubuntu, I took the cache.img and compressed it in tar.
3) I put this file in ODIN in CSC, install it and finally appear DBT in CSC.
Everything is working now!!! :victory:
awesome. dude
