[SOLVED] problem with notecore v14.1 - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Guys,
Im using a stock 4.0.4 rom and was using v14std for a while with no problems and when i switched to v14.1, i cant reboot to recovery!
I flashed back to v13.3 std and i can boot back to recovery just fine..
The samsung logo shows up but if i dont let go, it just keeps on looping back to the logo.. If i let go, it continues to boot normally to homescreen just like a normal startup.. Im flashing using mobile odin by the way... Now, i just left it at 14.1oc but i still cant get to recovery.. I tried 14.1 oc and std but its the same problem...
Your ideas would be helpful...

Download rom toolbox lit and enter recovery that way, I never do the 3 button trick. I am to lazy to power down lol.

For version 14 you will need to wait atleast 30 seconds and it will boot to recovery using CWM not sure about 14.1 as its working without any problems here on my end.

Just keep holding the 3 buttons and dont let go until recovery appears, try with some patient and it should works

Thanks
Turns out to be like a glitch or bug while I had the phone plugged into a charger.. I pulled out the charger and it booted to recovery just fine.. Although its still laggy even if the changelog for that version states that it should fix the laggy CWM but i wont complain
Thanks!

Yws i know..
it takes the button strokes with lags..

According to last notecore changelog he made a fix with the cwm lag, but seems you are all right it's still laggy

Well, skipped notecore altogether and moved to PhilZ's stock kernel.. Thanks!

Is the kernel functional for your rom? No then change kernel.
Is it, then, abyss is safe do wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache, reboot.
Still no fix, what rom are you on, and how did you install?

Sounds like you flashed abyss on an ics ROM and rebooted..
As mentioned already you need to provide more details so we can help...

First of all you are fine don't worry, get your phone goto recovery using volume up + menu + power button and now to select tap on screen abyss is a touch CWM recovery, and the bootloop is since your kernel isn't compatible with the installed ROM pls change it to the rom's kernel and if you don't know which is supported reflash ROM's file iam sure kernel is included there.

What do you mean by getting can back?
Going to recovery is done by pressing volume up + menu + power button hold them together until the gt-n7000 label shows now let go of power button only and voila.
Else flash a kernel with CWM (almost any).

[q] problems with galaxy mini 2

I have a problem with GALAXY MINI 2, stock rom, stock kernel, rooted, TWRP recovery
I only tried CWM and TWRP, when I reboot into recovery from RomManager or QuickBoot I cannot reboot system, allways reboots into recovery, only other things that let's me do is power off and bootloader, is this a bug from something in stock kernel or something else ? for the moment I do not wish to flash something else in it
only thing that I could do to resolve this problem is to reflash recovery and autoboot from odin, all works ok now beside booting into recovery other way than power off and using hard keys, and it is damn hard to keep pressed that combination, and 90% from tryes I get power off, it shows TWRP screen and powers off
any ideas ?
admin, delete this thread please, wrong place to ask
This is fixed with CWM latest build for Mini 2

Desperate call for help!

I recently rooted my Galaxy Exhibit 4G and installed the unofficial CM10 ROM. After a while I realized how slow everything was working, so I decided to turn back. However, when I tried to recover my previous backup (rooted stock) it gave me the stupid md5 error. followed directions on how to fix it, but then I had problems recovering the system and data. I then turned to Odin, but it didn't help, and my phone now tries to start up, reaches the Galaxy Exhibit 4G logo, and then fails to load, and tries over again. I can still access odin mode, but recovery won't boot and just reboots the whole system.
Can anybody please help me? What can I do? I tried to follow directions on the forums, and on the wiki, but everything just got worse. I have nowhere else to turn
Why not install a flavor of Gingerbread like Peach Sunrise or...gosh, I forget our GB days!
Honestly, look at Slimbean and an OC kernel. They've given me personally the best performance I've seen on this phone, but even they will slow down after a while. I do a fresh install every few months when the lag gets atrocious, keeps the phone spic and span.
There's only so much you can do on 300 Mb of ram- even on Gingerbread.
Sounds like you will have to flash a recovery using Odin. Once in recovery then you can flash a rom. The reason your phone won't boot up is probably because it has nothing to boot into. Try cm7. I have been running it while waiting for my Lumia 521 to get here and it is amazingly fast. Fastest my phone has ever been.

If you are using stock recovery then when you see the recovery screen hit the menu key. It should make the screen dim a bit. You should reboot into recovery then where you can flash cwm.

[Q] Note GT-N7000 boots to Samsung screen and then flickers off

Hi,
I was using Slim Rom 4.2.2 on my note,
I rebooted into CWM and flashed SpeedMod k3-11 and rebooted the phone without wiping anything on the device.
It is now stuck where I cannot get to recovery mode the phone screen goes strange and the image distorts before it turns itself off again.
Any idea what I can do to try and recover the phone, is it possible without being able to get to CWM?
Thanks :crying:
If you can get to down load mode you can use PC Odin to flash a kernel like pilz kernel and do all wipes then flash the ROM again from pilz kernel after flashing with PC Odin phone should reboot on its own and then boot loop just hold power - up - and home and you should get pilz recover witch is safe and can handle your flashing needs
