battery needs recalibeeration after new kernel so remember to do that
Ondemand is the most battery-saving governor!
Use fire kernel and set the max frequency at 614Mhz.

Hi,
Me for one, likes testing and flashing, but i am not always at a pc to do fastboot commands to restore kernels.
So i decided to make a flashable kernel so i can test roms while i am away from pc, home or at work.
The kernels i have made flashable are EDGANS overclock kernel from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1173225
And also -eval kernels for the OFRF GB port to atrix internationals
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1169409
Thanks Edgan
Thanks -eval
It includes SetCPU support. It is only a 1.1ghz overclock. It is still 1ghz by default, you have to use SetCPU to trigger the overclocking.

Factory reset
Flash Rom of your choice
Flash my kernel.zip

I have tested personally the d00 kernel and have flashed without the use of pc in any way. I have flashed kens 4.5 rom, Cherryblur (issues with wifi), redpill, Ninjas, Quickrom,
If all fails use

icy glitchy doesn't work good with cna download semaphore and flash through odin
that will get you out of a boot loop just dont flash glitch again devils is the one you want to go with
p.s i recommend reflashing the rom so you dont run into any trouble with semaphore
glitch is ment for cmp and the framework is soo different but you need to stick to somthing like devils because its built of glitch
i had the same problem with glitch on aokp and my sgs got bricked

thank you for this info. do you know how i proceed with getting semaphore back on? i cannot enter recovery but only download mode.. i think semaphore is for flashing through cwm only :s
Dude, download it http://ics.samsung-updates.com/trouble/FixRecovery.tar.md5 and flash it via odin at PDA , than go to recovery and flash kernel again. And remember if u making a wipe at ics base rom, flash again kernel, its normal..

So the the rom is not starting ? No problem if a can start recovery after flashing the kernel. After flashing the kernel i want to install an TW rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2079094 . The instruction says:
Installation: use philz TW kernel (i am using philz3.99)
1. download SlimWizz2_Tablet and xplose framework along with xposed app setting module. place these files on sdcard
2. boot in recovery
3. cleanup for new rom flash(use philz menu)
4. install rom
Can i flash it through the recovery of the hydracore??
Yes but there wont be step 3 in hydracore recovery.. so you will need to go to mounts and storage and format /sytstem, data, cache and preload

I rooted my device and I want to flash the CWM is it okay to flash it through ODIN right now? If so can you provide me the .tar file to install the CWM and at last is it correc that the CWM can make a full system backup because I wanted to flash the CM10 nightlies (I do know that to flash the CM10 I must have flashed the CM9 first) and some people said the CM10 isn't really good and I wanted to backup my system so if I didn't like the CM10 I can go back to my stock android
What rom are you on?
You will need to change the kernel to get cwm. If you are on rooted ics, you can install speedmod or philz kernel to be safe and get cwm.
Then you can make a nandroid backup and install the cm rom. No need to change the rom to cm9 if on a safe kernel.

what the kernel you have on the phone?
there is a possibility to use cwm temporarily. so u don't need to flash an other kernel:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1927097
Yes but install a rom using that may prove dangerous if the rom has bad updater script. This can be used to install a kernel.
I just want to know before I flash.

thats the problem with aroma installer,.. if you got restart you must reflash arhd,. choose do not wipe (Dirty Flash), after complete boot go to recovery, choose wipe-advance wipe -tick dalvik cache and cache, then wipe, after complete you can flash the kernel,..
if tou want flash another kernel you must wipe dalvik and cache before flash kernel to ensure kernel will flash succesfull
