Swype for Hero

hej guys,
just found this link on a dutch androidforum;
* Mod EDIT: Link Removed *
1.download the first file ( Swype HVGA ) and install it on your phone
2.go into settings and activate Swype under keyboard settings
3.now select a textfield and press it until you'll see a popup asking you for 'Input Method'
4.select Swype and your ready to go
look mum' i'm swyping

Please correct me if I am wrong but I think Swype is a payed app or Closed signup app. If so it is not wise posting links here.

Please can we not keep opening mew threads, there are already two threads on the subject of rooting in this sub forum... We area ll hoping the chinese guys have done what we have so far failed to, but if they have, instructions will be translated and added to the original thread. At the moment, they haven't posted any info about how they did it.

[ROM] AceCream V1.3 acitve arabic

i have to install rom "AceCream V1.3" and and i like cuz it's so fast and good but there is problems
Arabic not support ,and i search on Google and i get file active Arabic to mobile Samsung
and i install file zip , and after load system i see it's supported Arabic and work but i get other problems
the Arabic is work only on messaging , and not work on web browser ,
and the options call get problems never get call and anyone call me mobile is ring and get massage close force

can any developers fix this problems on this rom ?

Get out of these forums, noobs. Nobody cares if you need arabic support urgently, it's not a reason to post in the wrong section with a misleading title.

[Q] [ROM] MindCr Rom v2.3 How to turn off transparency of background in unlock screen

Cause I do not have permission to write in development-related forums due to the lack of 10 post ( not my monkeys, not my circus ) so I'm asking here:
I've installed latest [ROM] MindCr Rom v2.3 on S5830i. All works fine, but transparency of Holo Louncher unlock screen just pissed me off. Clock of unlock screen imposes on the clock of background and it looks .... stupid. So my question is, how to turn off this damn transparency.

It's easy... just put an image from your gallery for lockscreen... and that's it!
you know how to do that?

You can put any image that you have in the gallery... like when you put the homescreen wallpaper(selecting an image from your gallery and the "set as")... it's the same way, just select "lockscreen wallpaper" instead of "home screen wallpaper"...

Dude, have you installed [ROM] MindCr Rom v2.3 ? Don't thing so. I would not be writing this if it was so simple, cause that was 1st thing I've done.

i dont know how to turn off transparency....but try this....go to rom settings and set lockscreen style as rom.....now choose any picture from gallery to use as lockscreen wallpaper.....

there is no rom style, but U probably mean samsung style. Anyway the samsung style is working as no transparent background for unlock screen. I've already try this before, but thats not what I'm looking for. Besides better solution is installation of Widget Locker apk, which has the same unlock slide style as included in MindCr Rom 2.3 and mainly do not have this absurd transparency. However if mentioned ROM has slide unlocker, so maybe there is the way to use it without need to install applications as replacements, cause IMHO it's waste of space.
As I wrote before, I realize that this question should be asked in MindCr's topic, but I can't because of posts counter. I could start asking stupid questions: "how to ...." or "oh my god, I bricked my phone ...." and increase my posts counter, but it's silly, and every on who has got IQ higher then monkey can find necesary solutions on the web.
So I'm still waiting for your sugestions (but know I asked unanswered question in this section ). Anyway my posts counter increased to 4, so write to me.
Next question: what is the weather like in your country ?

this rom is good... but try wiht stock kernel and root phone... rommm is much much faster...

I'm not saying that it is not good. But I don't see any reason to install stock kernel, cause it doesn't contain such slide unlocker ( not to mention the additions ). Then why would I do that ? I think, it would be only the waste of time, cause I'm not interested in using stock one.

Let's go for the 10 post!

MindCr not installing..
Im not able to install this rom During recovery mod it takes only one minute to flash on my phone And when i reboot my phone it stucks at samsung logo it appers again and again
i want to know that is there any step after choosing zip from sdcard
i reboot my device after this

it is better to use rz recovery than cwm to flash mindcr rom....and did you follow all the steps provided there correctly.....anyway....flash stock rom through odin [[follow unbrick tutorial from here..http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1840645 ]]..... and try again...follow instructions provided by mindcr { http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1925850 }....this should work fine......it worked for me...and mindcr rom is awesome...best of luck

I just install this rom It is amazing Rom smooth Just a very little problem if u guys solve is on calculator. here only"+"symbol is appear but other 3 symbols ie( - , * , / ) are not shown I think u will solve this soon..........GooD JoB

NO...The ROM only includes English and Chinese.
You can use an app such as "Language Enabler" by wanam to add your prefered language.
I may add more languages next time.

Not guaranteed it will work since QS-I9300 isn't an official firmware, plus I9300 doesn't have a KK sources.

Samsung Keyboard works, cause the ROM is based on Samsung 4.3 firmware.
About language, well I'm looking onto this...

I can't wait to try this ROM but it's a few days before I can do that. In the video review the guy mentions that you have to create an account for iunois before the phone is properly usable. Can anyone elaborate on that? Does it disable a lot of the phones features if you don't or something?

Google Contacts won't sync
Excellent rom, love the efficiency in speed vs battery life.
But I have a single problem, kind of a big one. I am unable to sync my Google Contacts to the rom, I've tried other contacts apps and cleaning data from contact apps and service but still no luck. I got it working the first time I flashed the rom, but then it stopped working and I though the issue might be the gapps package, so I tried a couple of other ones and I've had no luck there.
I'm running version 3.0.06 that I got from the link below (downloads from the official chinese site never finish due to slow speeds). Has any one of you had this problem? Or had it solved for that matter?
