Hi everyone, I'm using the Ultrasound v3 nowadays, could someone please advise me the best setup available regarding the cpu settings? which one is the best combination of cpu freq/governor, etc? I'm experiencing some lagging, other than that, I love this ROM.

Hi everybody. I have just seen the first benchmarks of the new galaxy s3 and I have been very impressed about them. Now I would like to try to overclock my note, but I'm a noob using tegrak Overclock. It has too many parameters for me, in fact I prefer setcpu, but I've read that tegrak us better for the note.
Is there anyone who can explain me how to set tegrak overclock in the best way?

anybody can help me? please!
Don't push it more by over locking... SGN share the same CPU with the SG2 but clocked to 1400 so its somehow over locked already.

I had been searching for arm kernel topic in general as I am not allowed to post in the main thread I have been using arm kernel since yesterday and what I found is the kernel wake locks in certain governors and schedulers for me the best settings that have worked are CFQ scheduler and on demand governor I also used CPU spy to figure out the frequency use by the CPU but what happens is when the phone is awake it constantly uses 500 MHz frequency instead of 200 i am not a developer but have been playing around with ROMs from quite some time.
There wasn't a discussion topic for arm so I have made this.

Ok Glad to see you reporting issues. Hmmm. Indicate your version and this may be due to SmartAssV2. Its not really tweak for stability yet.
And other users, post problems here. This way, I will directly check here to fix issues. Users who see a similar issue posted, quote that post and reply:'+1'. So, I can very much confirm its a bug, and not a single-user issue

I am using 5.11 as u had stated in some post that this is the stable version so first I had tested in jelly bam the battery was constantly draining in the battery stats was such that android os was eating some 72 % battery where as my current os is stable version of cm10 is quite stable And perfect as I am getting a good battery as well as performance only the thing is that only selected governors are working stable I will state as I use this ROM further.

Ok. Indicate the problematic governors as v5.11a will be released. This is due to the fact that people prefer the kernel based on KU5900 instead of P970.

Except for the on demand governor all governors are causing wake lock.

For gaming, choise gamerzrom
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda app-developers app
ROM opens first when I installed the game fine. of the programs loaded the game I'm playing, but froze to death
installed on the phone CyanAOSP and CyanCore 2.4.1
How can I solve it. The problem is the third part applications, right?
or am I wrong?
Belive me, all the custom kernels are pretty much the same when it comes to frames per second in games, the only thing you have to be shure to do if you relly want to boost fps is disable all gps and location functions...I dont know why but it really impacts the performaces...
Anyway i suggest you the lastest c-rom mix v16 by aways that comes with semaphore kernel.
Or you can go for the stable cm10, cm stock kernels most of the time have better performances in games in my opinion.
And also its always better to leave the stock kernel of the rom you are installing...Always in my opinion
If you ask about gaming ROM then GamerzRom is the answer
This my benchmark for GamerzROM v.2
look at 3d graphic score mate

GamerzRom all the way
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda app-developers app
You can reach the score reached by 5aaled also with c-rom without oc to death your phone, only 10 %.... anyway i think that is not the benchmark that counts but you really understand the performances of a rom after u use it for dealy use.
I used roms with scores of 5500 and more but when it comes to general performaces in dealy use and gaming the result is not high like the one that the benchmark tells you..
This is just my opinion

we all know benchmarks are not reliable, games are best tests and they work great on it, i post benchmark for people who like it
btw this is the best 3d graphic score i had from all other roms, The best one of them has given me 19xx
just try it, i'm sure you will like it
I am going to try the new version of gamerzrom because they updated the cm rom and the changelog for the base was quite impressive...memory leaks fix also...I think is the 2.1 version...I was not so impressed by the 2.0 did u spent tkme with the c rom mix 16? Its a first build with new base and of course there are some minor problems...I suggest u to try also the lastest liquidsmooth relase wich is the base for c rom now..very nice and smoot

As I said before, benchmarks are not reliable you can get 5500 or 4200 or even less...just try to play something and you will get better results...there is also an app to mesure fps in games...I dont remember the name just look for it...then you will really get something reliable.
Hi peeps, i was hoping for a flawless cm rom for the mini, but dont see that happening really, or atleast happening soon.
So please give me your opinions on the other roms that are available. Which is best? Closest to flawless

i agree w/ him. Dmod's really fast and stable, everything is functional.
DMod V5 Rocks!
+1 for DMod V5 Rom for S3 Mini... So smooth, fast and stable...
In what way is it better than enox? Which I am currently using.. I like the stability, the battery consumption etc. I don't use software that demands high cpu or gpu.
i use dmod v5 .very smooth, low battery consumption and super stable. i'll go with it,even i didn't ever had enox's rom ,so my opinion isn't based on any kind of comparison...
I tried them all, including cm and went back to stock. Tweaked, rooted and moded like I want

dmodv5 (has really good features) with golden kernel v2(hotplug and cfq)..... hard to beat..
Thread closed as its a Best ROM thread.
Every AOSP or non Sense/GPE ROM I install had issues with performance in heavy games such as Asphalt 8, no matter what kernel I use our how much I overclock the GPU/CPU. Are there any suggestions or fixes for this out there?
Thanks in advance.
