Hello, I'm from the site 4pda.ru. We, all the owners of this device have on our site, the collection of signatures to update Official firmware to 2.3.7 or to 4.0. I want to invite you to join us, what would the developers from Samsung heard us and finally released the official version software. After the collection of signatures will be created the document, in which we announced his request and then send the document with an attached link to the company Samsung. here can look at our example. If you support our idea, then please choose the person who will be able to making the theme for the collection of signatures. Do not judge strictly for my English, I'm from Russia. If you have any questions, ask, I will try to answer.
Save Your Time
Hi.
Your "english" is really hard to understand
I've seen ideas like this one before.
Example - Unavailability of ICS on groubal.
I think corporations like Samsung don't give a s**t about what You want.
They just make money.
Ofcourse You can always try but is it worth it ?
I've heard that S5830i graphic chip is better than S5830's but it still doesn't have full working drivers..
If that's true then i don't think Samsung is going to do anything more for this device.
That's my opinion.
Save Your time.

some of you may or may not know of the winmodevelopers site, its lke ths website but for non htc devices
ok for the past few months we've been having issues
the software we use (IPB v1.3 final) has a few flaws we werent aware of when the site was set up
t doesn't nativley support uploading cab files (a very mportant factor)
as its the last free version so cannot be upgraded wthout cost
you may wonder why im beng so stingy its because we simply cannot afford it
we have so far received no donations as weve always been hosted for free
so the problem we have is we have a domain donated by a member here (Quicksite)
we have phpbb whch is free our forum but what we really need is free places to put the installation
so our opton s to go back to a free phpbb bundle so t can be updated and support cab files
or do i wait for donations for hostng?????
any ideas?????????
I dont think so...
I cant imagine how a new web can be supported by the members...
Money i mean, by donations...
We need to wait till itself grows up...
Many improvements have been set and is nice but many people has HTC devices... the NON htc are minor...
Dont give up men! if you say that we must to move to another free hosting site... we will backup all data... then reupload it... but it cant be three times in a year...
thats another issue the ste we have at the mo provdes no backup facilites whchs means have to do it manually, i thn we my just stick to forum we have now until we pckup members and interest

Guys, sign both the petitions! Let's try to make our milestone simply better!
@Moderators : I think that it will be useful to sticky this thread.

This.
I see no point whatsoever in signing a petition that I can't read through without having to try to work out what it says.
Signed!!!

Signed. Hope this isn't just a waste of time.
signed.....
Signed and pasted bootloader bit to motorola europe facebook.
signed and signed
so i guess we are just skipping 2.2 and want to jump strait to 2.3? They shoved 2.2 back so ridiculously far, that in the rare case we did get 2.3, we wouldnt get it untill June of 2014... so yeah.
Besides, im pretty sure 2.3 need a minimum of a 1Ghz processor to run efficiently.
I noticed some grammar/syntax mistakes. Please correct them to be sure the petition will be taken seriously by people.
2) We accept that we GET (not got)...By the way it'd better if you write "We accept that warranty services won't be valid anymore after any uncertified modifications"
3) - Give us the Feeling that we are part of a community and not only stupid customers.
I'd replace it with this:
"We feel that, in the spirit of open-source community, which produced Android, we should be able to modify our devices without being limited by ANY commercial decisions. Especially if the same device has ever been free in US (see Motorola Droid). Plus, Motorola doesn't gain any money by releasing any upgrades so we can't understand why the users shouldn't be able to upgrade their own devices by themselves (with custom roms or similar tools)"
By the way my english is not perfect too! So please if someone speaks it natively: say what's wrong with it so we can share the message the right way! Thanks!
signing in.... hope come true
Signed too!

I signed the free bootloader one, the one with 2.3 I think is useless.

Hey,
Essentially, I'm looking for more web-developing experience as I've only made a few sites. I wanted to ask if any developers who don't make sites themselves would want a site made for their project at no charge. The domain/hosting would be at your charge (or donations! ) but I would love to help someone by making them a site. It would likely be used for ROM/software information (change-log, etc.), download links, screenshots, and more. I typically use Wordpress, but am proficient in a few other languages as well.
There's really no catch, because I need experience and you may need a site. Again, the hosting/domain would be at your cost. If there is more demand than I expect, I would prefer developers who don't know how to make a site themselves, however unlikely that may be...
Tagged for 3 weeks from now - will need a site then, for dev projects, and don't want to lose this thread.
No time to dev while on the road if working on a site, so definitely intend to take you up on this. This definitely would solve a problem for me.
I'll get ahold of you once I get hosting set up, and thanks in advance!

Dear Members,
In a world rapidly dominated by the horrors of PPCGeeks, Windows Mobile 6.5, "Windows Mobile 7", and Apple Operating System, the need increasingly arises for the community to have a useful solution to all its ROM needs. I believe the answer to the world's problems (at least on HTC Diamond, anyway) can be found in this thread with a custom ROM I built from the ground up in a modified version of Caulkin's Kitchen called "Elite", which couples Windows Mobile 6.1 with excellent performance, eye candy, goodies, and vast amounts of free space - not to mention low battery consumption.
Unlike many other ROMs, I do not post the full description and screenshots in the first post of the thread because this "clogs" the forum up and makes quoting posts annoying. To remedy this, I've created a small informational sheet separately with all the details and screenshots you could ever want to see; the download link to the ROM itself is located inside of that.
Up until now, this ROM has been cooked with the Sprint carrier options cooked in, but in the new release that is NOW AVAILABLE, the ROM will be carrier universal! This means that it can be used on all the CDMA carriers' Diamonds (not as sure about the Verizon Diamond, I've heard it is a slightly different beast as far as hardware is concerned). If you need to do "over the air activation" with Sprint or Boost, you'll need to find the CAB to do so separately (you'll also want to hard reset your device, as installing it will make the phone unusably sluggish).
A special thanks to all the support from the community for helping make this Epic ROM what it is today. Your questions and comments are welcomed in the thread.
Thanks for visiting.

Hello Mr. Shoe, I am Member2013 officially taking over the Elite project on the Diamond. There are no further updates that will be made to it as it has reached its Zenith (or got as close as possible with the time that we could afford in development) and I now just work as carefully as possible to keep the download links up to date, but feel free to let me know now if you have any questions.
Thanks for downloading Elite. The Diamond is a timeless phone that continues to be a significant piece of HTC's history even into 2013.

How are you keeping the download links up to date when you are not the OP?

I think its a fake...
Nobody uses cwm in p7.
On xda i cant find anything.
It's fake on obviously add new says xda tutorial and that's nothing in this section on it or the other areas for our p7.
As above no cwm on p7 twm is what is used it seems, also he doesn't state model number remember there all imcompatible the roms as all the l10 people are unhappy that's no Dev emui 3 ROM or that device.
The kernel has only been recently released publicly for our devices and you will see any custom rom on this forum is a early test version.
The screenshot is edited KOT49H is the 4.4.2 build number lollipop uses something else and is a white background I'm running it on my nexus 10 right now.
Also emui 3.0 on 4.4 isn't out till next week.
I do hope huawei release a v5 lolipop rom but when or if they will announce it I don't know.
Allot of companies like to sell new devices than update them to the new versions.
These scams have been going round for years for many things not just android Roms where they take something and sightly edit it and put links behind a survey host.
If you need anymore proof it's a scam it has URL stuff to rewrite the article as you can see here on my attempt at a funny test.
http://www.lollipop-rom.org/mp3-/this-site-is-a-scam-dont-use-this-guide-to-update-6124.html
Also since yesterday when I sent a message inquiring about things the person quietly changed the screenshots and stuff from a black to white background based on my inquiry to fool people even more.
Just found out the comments are in an iframe from a totally different site as well as other things by looking at the site code.
Here is the WHOIS details of the site with contact details of the owner if anyone is wondering.
Going a google I found other sites linked to the email related to android etc and a forex scam thing.
Also a registered street address in indonesia connected to the accounts.
I have compiled some info and submitted it to google the best I can as there's no official way to submit this stuff.
So for now this thread can die until Huawei announces a proper lollipop version.
Android 5 and down want to downgrade what can i do ?
