Auto rotation? I thought that there is a toggle for auto rotation once you drag the notification drawer down? There is also an option in settings -> display...Or you wan the rotation animation as ICS? It's only available in ICS...

It is available in CM7 too!
I think you have to mod libsurfaceflinger.so and libsurfaceflinger_client.so in /system/lib to get it working because that is what they did on S2.
They copied these files from Galaxy Note which already has this animation and added it to S2. But the files dont work on Ace when I tested it. Maybe we have to use some files from CM or maybe someone has a better method to do it.

I flashed the one with Samsung in its name. I will try that one now.
It should work. Only the init.rc needs to be edited to add custom bootanimation support (maybe also a binary).!
I do not respond to tech support via PM

I inlstalled that other file via recovery, but still no custom bootanimation. And I did put bootanimation.zip in system/media... I do not need it much, so I didn't bother more.

Easy way would be to restore a backup and re-start again
Format it !
Why don't you go to the recovery mode and factory resent your phone.
I guess that will fix it.

I think that it won't work because you have deleted the system's base aplication therefore will be restored everything by default except for those deleted apps
How about downloading the original firmware from sammboile and flashing through odin ?
