[Q] Theming an Odexed ROM Possibilities

Before I get started, I understand the difference between an odexed rom and de-odexed rom. I understand what that means for themes.
But my question is, is there way to rebuild the odex file for an apk?
The story is, I'm on a Stock 2.1 Rom on my Samsung Captivate. I've changed fonts around already. But I want to add some framework animations, similar to the ones found in a few custom ROMs. I understand that with APK manager I can decompile an apk so that changes can be made. I also understand that because my ROM is odexed that I can't just put the apk back on the phone and everything will be fine.
Isn't there a way to take a de-odexed apk and make an odex file for it so that it can work again?

i really wish someone had answered this.. because i'm in the same boat. I'm using Gingeritis... an odexed rom for my tbolt. LOVE it. but i want to theme it. and its odexed and idk wtf to do

In a odexed ROM (not sure if using properly the word, I mean a ROM with apk and odex files) You can change the apk and odex files of the file (delete both) and put in a deodexed apk (framework-res.apk for example) of a deodexed ROM (not just deleting the odex. You need to fins a deodexed ROM, then pick the .apk
It will probably work (most devs do that and I have done that too with framework-res.apk and other system apk. Just change apk and odex for a "full" apk of another deodexed ROM

stock dialer and message app in cm7?

Can anyone tell me how to port samsung stock dialer and message app in cm7?? coz i dont like cm7 dialer and message app,,, help asap...

first you will need to deodex them then you will need to take their individual data from out of twframework-res.apk then you will need to combine the taken out data and the apk and they will work

i dont know what is deodex ??/ is there any simple method????? or any link of tutorial of this,,, it would be great help?

there are many windows software which will help you in deodexing apk just Google for them

[Q] odexing previously deodexed

Okay devs hope you can help. I would love to be able to know how to create an odexed apk out of a deodexed apk. The reason i'm posting on here is Ive looked everywhere and can't find a guide on how to do this. I know you can deodex an apk file so there has to be a way to re-odex it. I have access to both a windows pc and a linux pc (dual boot) So please help. Here's why I want to do it, I have some apps that are deodexed stored in my TB which i can restore but when i restore them into odexed rom ALL of them fc. The ROM in which I speak is a great GB ROM for this phone maybe the best (GamerzROM ninja v11 JW5)

If you are restoring a app that is already installed on the phone there will be the <<appname>>.apk and <<appname>>.dex
By removing the <<appname>>.dex you should beable to restore the deodex app
DEVs please correct me if i am wrong and i will edit this post.

[Q] bootloop after modifying touchwiz30launcher XXKPK

i edit my androidmanifest.xml touchwiz30lancher XXKPK Rom to make homescreen auto rotate.
android:screenOrientation="nosensor" to android:screenOrientation="user". i compile and decopile my touchwiz deodexed using ApkManager but it's bootloop after i try on my S5570, and i try using ApkTool and it's still bootloop. when i making transparent background it's bootloop and work fine. Is anyone know how to edit Androidmanifest.xml?
