Hi everyone. I just recently rooted my HTC Sensation XL and added a plain Android 4.0 ICS ROM without HTC Sense in the phone. It's all working just fine apart from the storage. I tried taking a photo with the camera but it said that the phone's storage is full. I then connected it to the computer and it said that my device only has 270Kb of storage which is shocking because the phone normally has 8 gigs of internal storage. Please help me out here. Thanks
You need to either, update your hboot to the latest version, or edit one of the files in the /system/ partition, if you search the forum, you will find many threads with the solution for your issue

Look for this the topic "[script] safe bionic path saver + .901 + liberty3 2.0 - version 2". It's here on xda in android development and hacking/ android software and hacking general. Sorry I can't post the link because I'm using the xda app. This thread works. I just finished using the path finder.

Just logged in on my computer so I could give you the link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1450836&page=7
i don't see it under that is it like the last page or what??
yeah, that's the last page. Sorry about that.
thanks dude so could you tell me i run this pathsaver batt file i think it is runs scripts and then i flash the 896 i think it is then flash 901 there after is this correct ?? watched the video a while back but forgot exactly i suppose i could watch it again but my sound don't work at the moment..
You also have to use RSDLite 5.5 to flash an xml file.
Hopefull I posted the link around enough so if anyone else needs it, they don't have the same problem finding it. I understand looking for something before asking, but they could have put it somewhere that we would search. I had to find it through Google, not an XDA search.
yeah i installed rsd i am basically trying to be able flash the ics ???
Hope everything goes well for you.
I have mistakenly deleted one or both of these files in an attempt to avoid the OTA. my intention was to disable them not delete them as I may want the OTA in the future.
would someone be so kind as to upload a copy of their BlurUpdater_vzw.apk and BlurUpdater_vzw.odex
Located in device/ system / apps
Droid 4
verizon
android 4.1.2
system version 98.72.182.xt894.verizon.en.us
thanks in advance
would anyone mind making a copy of the files and uploading them please.
will a factory reset bring the files back? like in the future if I want to take the update? any help is really very much appreciated.
The .odex file won't upload for me through the forum. I'll attempt to put them on dropbox for ya. I don't have a dev account so no uploads through the nicer sites- sorry.

THANK YOU
Well at least for your clue
I had a look at your signature and as it said “HTC Butterfly X920D” and in my OP I did state HTC Butterfly dlxub1 I failed to see the prevalence ….but hey that’s why I asked for help
After reading your thread where it mentions “stock recovery” ??? I thought I all ready had a recovery image in TWRP but hey thats why I asked for help
it all seemed a bit “well I know it all and you ought to as well”
So I went down another (what to me seemed shorter)route
I downloaded this rom for your thread
DLXB1_U_JB_50_HTC_Asia_TW_2.28.709.3_V0 0.zip
Took a micro SD card out of my camera formatted it to Fat32 copied and pasted the rom in a card reader
Put it in the phone
Went to TWRP choose “install from external sd”
And all went well
Its working just fine
Just thought id post my results as they worked for me
And its good to share
THANK YOU AGAIN
And if you look at the last line in the OP
Hello.
I'm new to XDA and Android community and I have some questions if this is not problem.
I have Samsung Galaxy S III Mini GT-I8190.
I want safe and best way to root, install CWM and CyagenoMod and where to find all this?
Some advices, and if someone had problems, what was that, etc?
Edit : I found this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2400123
Q2 : Do I need to enable USB Debugging?
Q3: Do I Need external SD card?
Thanks in advance, very much.

First of all, this's the wrong place to post questions, do that on Q&A section. Second you'll learn to use the XDA search box before ask from now on. Regarding your doubts, read my FAQ here & to root take a look here & if it doesn't work, use the search box. Have fun guys & I almost forgot, welcome to S3 mini forum.

I searched xda and found this :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2030282
and
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2147852&highlight=root
What is best of that 2 to follow? I think 2 because it says about CWM and I need it.
For CM : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2441878&highlight=faq
I think I need to follow second and third link ?
Thanks in advance.
I found everything and I'm ready! Thanks for help very much.
But one more thing.
Is 1GB External MicroSD card enough for everyting ?
Thanks in advance

Internal storage should be big enough for many but remember two things:
1) 5Mpx camera. I save all photos to externalSD and they do take up 1GB fairly easily, if you take many photos like I do.
2) full phone backups (which you should always have at least one of) take up a LOT of space - mine are about 1.2GB each - and I keep them on extSD too to leave space for apps on internal.

Sometime last year I found a post detailing how to block the OTA update nag screen on my stock SU4.21 4.4.4 Droid Maxx. It even had instructions on what to do if it had already downloaded the update but not installed it yet (which I needed). I think that involved connecting to a pc.
Glad I never updated because by staying on SU 4.21 I used the recent root method to both root and use Sunshine.
Now I want to undo whatever change(s) I made since I can now freeze the updater.
I have spent two days searching the X and Ultra forums (and Google) but cannot find that particular post. Does anybody know what I'm talking about? It dealt specifically with non-root phones. I'm about 90% sure it was here on XDA.
And if you search and find the thread, mind sharing the search terms that got you there? Thanks in advance.
Nevermind, found it.

Ya'll can quit looking now...
What root method did you use?? I found one but I'm not too familiar with using adb and they said if you mess up it will brick your device so I stayed away from it, is that the one you used ? If not could you tell me which one you you used so I can root my maxx??

Oh yah the root method I didn't try because I don't have the skill set is the one where you use Quall comm or something like that and you use a rooted su4.21 system partition and you use rsd lite and something called python , and if it is the one you used could you try and explain it to me in a way a noob could understand lmao
