Now i want to change my current rom but i've used many apps like nimbuzz and whatsapp and gmail and whether and some more apps is there is any way to backup their data and cache so as not to login all this app and set the settings again from A-Z coz I'm lazy to do so and I've forgotten some of usernames and pass,,, is there any solution of that ???
if not is there even a way to know the usernames and passwords on my current rom ????

Titanium backup. It's in the play store
1st u do backup all apps via titanum backup...then u do a rom backup via nandroid backup in cwm.....then u may flash another rom..and restore all ur apps via titanum backup....but..if anything running not very well or u just want ur previous rom...u can just restore back ur previous rom via cwm(that will be ur nandroid backup)...
Note that original stock rom can't be backed up with cwm

hmmm.... not really sure this is what u r looking for....
i simply use "astro file manager" when i want to do a reset or something... it doesn't backup the app data like titanium does and u cannot backup the protected apps either...
it'll backup ur .apk file to a location u specify...
cheers,
Hi guys,
i've just instal CM7 nightlies on my O2x, the question is how can i restored all of my data that have been back up in cwm such as my contact and calendar event?
cheers
You don't.
You need to use something like Titanium Backup for that.
Thanks rusty!
Oo..so right know i need to start from scratch right?
Right now, yes.
Or you could restore your CWM backup, use a backup app, flash CM7 then restore via an app.
AppExtractor can do this, restoring:
- Contacts
- Wifi Settings
- SMS/MMS
- Apps and their Data
- Bookmarks
From any CWM backup files.
Write to the author for Calendar, he is very reactive.
See in Market
The most simple way to restore Calendar/Contacts is to use 'the cloud' google gmail sync, or dedicated backup features in launchers (don't remember in LG Launcher, but in other launchers/home you can backup contact etc)

For contacts and calendar, I would recommend you to save it by default to your Gmail account, whenever you flash a new rom it will sync automatically.
I am using the following for backups.
1. Call log backup & restore
2. SMS backup & restore
3. Titanium backup

Try and restore your CMV backup with Titanium.
I haven't tried it yet, but it should work

This used to be true Rusty, but not anymore. The latest version of Titanium Backup can now restore both apps and data from CWM-backups. Very handy.
I must admit, that will be a proper useful feature.

Ya a nandroid backup is exactly what u are looking for.... it can make a 100% backup of yer currant rom n u can restore from it incase u need to... titanium backup is the best backup app... I highly recommended it to backup individual appz ....to make a nandroid backup... go to yer bootmenu then recovery n select backup.... that's it...

So i can backup my installed applications with titanium , but what about settings and shortcuts on my android desktops ?
Do a complete backup using Titanium backup ... Appz+data ...this will make even your desktop settings saved when u restore back ...
im now using AOKP rom build 40 my question is if i make a full back up with cwm recovery and install or flash another rom like miui 4 and make restore will it restore all apps and settings and account and screen widgets and every things !! cause it take along time to arrange screens and installing apps and making settings !!!
No. Android backup is a complete backup like your Norton ghost in windows.
When you restore, it will restore the complete rom.
Having said that, nandroid doesn't backup your /efs folder, which you should quickly do that if you first heard if this.
To backup apps + data , use titanium backup.
You can backup system apps and user apps.
But you should not restore system apps to dissimilar rom.

i asked u be4 about how to uninstall apollo and replace it with poweramp for example so i can u explain to me the way !!
and what is titanium backup is at an app or just like cwm from the boot screen ?
" nandroid doesn't backup your /efs folder, which you should quickly do that if you first heard if this. " what do u mean by that and what is nandroid ?
Android backup is the backup done via cwm recovery.
Efs
I mean go copy that folder to your PC now for safe keep.
It contains your IMEI .

yet it is just a safety backup so u can't use it in another custom rom (wich is probably the reason to do the backup)
there are a few options to extract items out of a nandroid backup tough, but i consider it a hassle

U can use Nandroid backup. For this you have to be root and CWM installed. There is plenty of intructions on how you can do that in the forum.
