Yes, you can remove all such apps, just check this thread for list of apps you can uninstall and then either delete ".apk and .odex file" for that particular app from system/app using root explorer or use titanium backup.

can i remove the "email.apk" from an rom, without affecting the google mail apps ?
and do i need fmradio? (i dont listen to radio...)
i use simplicity 1.5, wanna update to 1.5.1 without this app
Offcourse.
Use sgs tools or nitrality.
It won't affect gmail app.
i will delete them from the rom before flashing it...
i would rather freeze them using titanium backup or mybackup, than remove them

Using nitrality to delete them frees up more system space - they can be added back with nitrality if desired.
Nitrality also removes associated lib files.
Imho it is the best option.
On Illuminance, there are some included apps (Polaris office, etc.)
If I switch to another similar ROM, another kk4 ROM or any that is compatible, and I want to use that app, is the best way to "bring" it is to back it up with Tibu? (presume it will be available to restore on the new ROM?) or is it better to extract the .apk from the ROM?
Thanks
Do both..if the tibu restore gives you issues, just install the apks.

Thank you
My suggestion is to install the apks directly, will save you lot of pain.
I'm using CriskeloRomNOTE.vICS-V7 now.
this rom is really good to me but some unusable apps exist.
and also it has some duplicated apps like camera & camera ics.
I just want to remove those unusable apps.
I think it would be possible to delete apk files on CriskeloRomNOTE.vICS-V7.zip before flashing.
Then rezip the file and flash. Will it work?
I need your help T.T Thx!!
you should flash it first then remove anything you don't want in system/app with root explorer.
you can see guidance for applications that safe to remove here:

uhm.. thx for your advice, but I can't remove apps by using root explorer or root app remover.
In case of root explorer, it should be required to remove apps that getting permission to change mount r/w to r/o.
But i can't change r/w to r/o at system-app folder.
In other words, I can't remove apps by using the removing applications...
Is there any other way to do?
or please give me some methods to make those removing apps can be worked on my phone..
Thank you.
You should be able to change it in totalcmd (the setting is difficult to find, but it works).
Or, try Root App Delete from the market, maybe it'll work for you.

Hi,
Does anyone know of a list of which APK's can be safely removed from the app folder in stock 4.3 without breaking anything?
There's a pretty good list in this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2607321 - but it lists what has been removed from a ROM yet to be flashed.
I'm not sure if removing any of those files from a ROM already up and running will be a killer move?
You will find a lot of apk's can't be removed without root ie system and Samsung ....

Thanks, I have root (SuperSU & Busybox).
Don't think I'd even be able to see into that folder without it.
Themes and Apps has a safe to remove thread .
Hello,
CMS includes 4 apps that can be easily uninstalled: Calendar, EMail, Browser and Truecaller.
Where are these apps stored to permanently remove?
If I uninstall and I perform a wipe the apps are magically restored
I have located by my self....
There are at: /system/vendor/bundled-app

You can use system app remover also. Does the same purpose!
If you are rooted you can also use TiBu to remove system apps.
