Features and Enhancements
Flash Player 10.3 is the newest runtime release of the Open Screen Project that enables uncompromised Web browsing of expressive applications, content and video across devices. For a general overview of new features and enhancements, visit the Flash Player 10.3 Desktop release notes: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/901/cpsid_90194.html.
Fixes and Enhancements in Flash Player 10.3.185.21
Adobe Flash Player 10.3.185.21 includes security enhancements described in Security Bulletin APSB11-12.
Fixes and Enhancements
Enabled NEON optimizations for OMAP4 (Cortex A-9) based devices. (2853030)
Corrected an issue on the Samsung Galaxy S where H.264 video at resolutions of 720p and below was not displayed. (2852889)
Android Apps using Browser Plug-ins like Flash Player in WebView no longer need to set android:hardwareAcceleration to True in their AndroidMainfest.xml for plug-in output to be rendered. This was previously an issue on Android 3.0+ only. (2834793)
Fixed a crash on the HTC EVO that some users encountered with specific video. (2855425)
Fixed an issue that caused video frames to stop rendering on long streaming videos (> 1 hour) on some Motorola devices. (2855957)
Known Issues and Limitations
Audio/Video:
A driver bug on the AT&T version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab disables Hardware Video Decoding. (2867155)
When playing multiple H.264 videos simultaneously on the Nexus One, only the first video will use the hardware decoder. All other instances will be decoded in software. (2824867)
A problem with some firmware versions on the HTC Desire and HTC Desire HD can cause video playback to hang when changing between Full-Screen and Embedded mode. (2834740)
A recent firmware update to the CDMA version of Samsung Galaxy Tab (Model: SCH-I800) breaks RTMP video playback. (2851870)
When resuming video playback from sleep mode, the frames in the video buffer are rendered rapidly until the video catches up with the audio stream. (2856597)
Due to a limitation in the power management APIs in Android, streaming video will continue to play audio while the device is in sleep mode. (2856595)
Browser Integration:
An Nvidia driver bug on the Motorola Xoom can cause the browser to become unresponsive if the browser is put in the background while Flash Player is in Full-Screen mode. (2851889)
Input:
On the HTC G2, flash stops responding when the keyboard is out (2847470)

So Adobe updated their lovely flash player. I though the passage from 10.1 to 10.2 (introducing hardware acceleration) gave me pretty good result.
I was wrong.
Just installed 10.3 on MIUI JW 10May (gingy 2.3.4) and OMG!!
Tiny Shark with no lag AT ALL, even when browsing big pages [i.e. front home forum xda]
I did have Tiny Shark in the background while watching a BBC iPlayer [flash-based]. Again, 1 audio + 1 video /audio stream at the same time, no lag what so ever.
I'm really pleased of what Adobe is doing.
Truly Android For The Winner.
Would like to hear your feedbacks

from the v10.2 they had about 5-7 upgrades.. what's up with that?!
Hello,
I have LG P990 with stock froyo.
When I play a xvid video (not HD), the video is smooth and the sound is ok but there is a constant 1 sec desynchrnisation. There is the same issue with RockLite player in hardware decoding mode, but in software decoding mode, the video is fine !!
How to solve this?
MIUI+Celebration+HD+2.0.5+DE-EN+iphone+Beta+2+signed
I have MIUI+Celebration HD+2.0.5 on my LG Speed and yes it´s a better version of Miui. Even better Galnet´s MIUI, and i can send the web link too those who wanna it.
What is the relation between your answer and my question? And for most people the leaked v20e or topogigi rom is the best choice.
No problem here, I converted a 1080p mkv song to xvid and it played perfectly without any audio delay. Try playing the file with Mxvideo player, thats the best media player for me.
I use Mx player too ! For all videos, I can always play them with either Hw or software mode.
Are you on stock or a custom rom. If on stock update it to the latest version.
Hi all,
I have samsung galaxy s and i switched to ics rom from GB 2.3.6(very stable and awesome) and found there no built-in video player while gb has samsung video player which plays all format with hardware decoding and MX player hw decoder also works but in ICS there is no hardware decoder also MX player hardware decoding not works. sw decoder is very lagy and useless and live wallpapers is also lagy. While in Team ICSSGS RC4.2 says Full Hardware Acceleration so where is hw acceleration???
I'm using Dice player and it seems to handle most of the formats I have with HW acceleration. Give it a try.
I recently installed dice player, it only show HW icon like MX Player bt actualy does not do hw decoding. U can feel the result of, video is very lagy and sound is chopy. In GB there is no issue and i often watch HD movies, I don't know why anybody feeling this basic issue. Without HW acceleration ICS there is no fun thats y i was using GB with ICS moded them
I use BSPlayer lite + BSPlayer ARMv7 VFP CPU support
Now i tried this, player is very pathetic and if i m using its hw mode of bs engine then video works else system mode does not work. Y u r using BSPlayer ARMv7 VFP CPU support while only bsplayer lite playing mkv files?
I'm running CM9 + semaphore 1.2 kernel, Moboplayer and MX player is working only in software mode, but Dice player hardware mode is working!
I use MIUI.4-SpeeD rom and no problems with live walpapesr. Default player, integrated in galery, play mp4 without problem, mkv play withoot sound, avi not play. BSPlayer play all formatss what i need. Wen using software decoding, mkv drop some frames, wen using system HW decoder, screen is OK but no sound, when using BSPlayer HW decoder screen and sound is normal.
Thanks for all gud replys, Dice player is working good. But i came to point that ICS has not built-in support for HD videos or doesn't have HW decoder. Every player is using its own decoder and produce different result. I just wana know what is technical missing in ICS comparative to GB, because GB has everything built-in(hw decoder and codes) to play every type of file?
Was interesting and i flash phone back to GB rom XXJVU. Default video player not play avi, mkv play withou sound, mp4 play good. The same results I obtained with MIUI.4-SpeeD rom withou any external player and codecs.
Just updated my MX Player Pro (to the current latest version 1.7.19) which is arguably the finest Android media player - it plays everything you throw at it. I figured since the HTC One has the best full HD smartphone display with the industry highest PPI in the world right now, i should at least enjoy the maximum it offers. So, i played a full 1080p MKV video but it was lagging a little on my HTC One M7. I disabled power saving mode to unleash the full power of the Snapdragon 600 SoC, but the slight lag persists. By the way, i'm on stock Sense 5.0 with Android 4.2.2, never rooted and my AnTuTu score is 26511 so i doubt if my M7 is being slowed-down because of bloatware, defects, etc. I also closed all other running games and apps, but still the issue remains.
The specifications of the 1080p MKV video that i've tested:
File Size: 9.83 GB
Video: MPEG4 Video (H264) 1920x800 23.976fps
Audio: Dolby AC3 48000Hz 6ch 640kbps
Subtitle: VobSub [Subtitle]
My current settings on MX Player Pro: i'm using S/W decoding for both video and audio. I disabled H/W+ for video, audio, drawing subtitles and aspect ratio correction. Basically, i turned off H/W+ everywhere in the settings. But then, i also tried enabling H/W+ for video only, and then for both video and audio. But still, the slight lagging didn't go away. I also downloaded a custom codec ARMv7 Neon from XDA forums directly from the Settings of MX Player Pro itself. Still, no luck.
So, i want to know what are the best MX Player Pro settings that you personally use to achieve a smooth viewing experience (without lag) when playing the most demanding videos, like 1080p? FYI, i have zero issues with 720p videos.

Try playing MP4 1080p files..they just play fine
and may be its because for both video and audio (5.1) you need S/W decoding and this may be the reason for your lag too
Even with S/W decoding too it should work but causes a lot of battery drain
I reset the settings and using S/W decoding everywhere. I restarted my phone and now it's working fine. I guess a good ole reboot did the trick.
I'm also using RGB 16-bit. I tried RGB 32-bit mode and haven't noticed any slowdowns or noticeable differences.
The original video file was actually in MP4 format but i wanted to mux the subtitle into it to end up with only one MKV file (instead of an MP4 file and its corresponding .sub subtitle file), so i used MKVtoolnix to merge the .sub file into it. Maybe it's the .sub file giving MX Player some extra work. Usually, .srt subtitle files are much lighter in terms of file size and for decoding as well.

the solution to your problem is simple,... you should try to play with s/w decoder in your mxplayer and it will go fine, it also offers much more loudness adjustments compare to h/w decoder,. you will see the option in front of you! xD
Personally i use hw+ decoder for every supported format. It plays 1080p videos very smooth here. For all the other formats you should try sw with yuv instead of 16bit or 32bit rgb.

very nice, you don't read but give advice..., dude he said already use S/W
@topic i recommand use h/w instead and test with other video files also.
hw vs sw decoder?
I thought hardware is the only way to go and software is for last resort. My AC3s are playing back in stereo and now I'm trying to figure out why...
Thanks in advance...
Post 4.3 update, N7000 stutters or lags playing 720p+ videos with MX Player using HW+ decoder. Only S/W decoder works smooth but it eats battery faster.
This guy found the solution for Nexus: ====> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2559138
Has anyone found the fix for N7000 yet?
