Unable to Boot Note n7000 after Firmware Flashing - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello XDA,
I Need some help with My galaxy note n7000, its was purchased from Kogan, and was in German when I first got it,
I have not been able to find anything on this Forum yet so;
I Had ICS 4.0.4 installed, Stock, and wanted to try CM9
so after rooting and installing CWM I backed up my device, and flashed the "Safe" CM9 kernal with Odin,
My device now hangs on the Boot up screen, and All I can do is the Download files from Odin, I have tried flashing many different kernels and re installing the Stock Rom (it says leaving CS?), without any Luck,
I am wondering if I need a different Rom, and am currently trying to download the Gingerbread roms in an attempt to roll back,
Any help would be appreciated guys and gals.

did u wipe in cmw when u were in ics??
if yes... sorry to inform u that u may have bricked ur device
try this link to revive ur device http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1667886...
if this also fails u ll have to go to samsung service center to get it repaired...

after flashing CM9 kernel your device will not boot up, its natural , a TW rom will not boot with CM9 kernel
you should have entered recovery with three button treatment and done your wipes and flashed CM9 and gapps.
i dont know at what point you are right now,
try flashing a rootable GB rom with pc odin in download mode, then root it ...then get into recovery and flash CM9 etc etc
if you are bricked your flash will stop at factory fs in pc odin..... (fingers crossed)

A cm9 kernel for TW, of all the poor luck!

Install cm9 rom thru cwm and wipe cache / dalvik. Try rebooting now.. Good luk.

Help newbie with installing new ROM

Hi, I'm stuck with installing new rom, so I hope, that you'll help me.
There are steps what I've done:
- followed THIS topic and ROOT the device with ODIN and CF-Root 4.4 file.
- OKAY, I'm rooted, so let's flash the new ROM
- entered in Clockworkmod Recovery and format EVERYTHING ( /data, /system, /cache, /sdcard etc.... just everything) for clear system
- next I load package with ROM and than INSTALLL
and here is the most important part
- when installed ROM gets something like bootloop but with restart - ROM is loading and after about 40 sec its RESTART
- and the same thing over and over again - restart ->loading->restart.... System never start up correctly to the end
- then when I saw that it does not work, I tried go into the CWM, but there was no CWM (!!!) - it was erased (by installing new ROM maybe???)
- so I must flash (old and stock) ROM via ODIN and again root device with CF-Root (with CWM) - that was only functional rom, what I was able to run, and again did this procedure
I tried this way, perhaps with millions of different ROM and EVERY was stucked (restart) while loading.
I think there are some non-deleted files in device, which should be erased (and which cannot be erased by CWM) for clear start of new installed ROM, what do you think?
Would someone please help me? I don't want old Gingerbread with Kies
Thanks for every responce!
Does it say in the thread that you have to flash a custom kernel?? Give.me the link for the thread so I can make sure that you've done everything right

there is a link, but in hypertext THIS, i repost it in full text:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=788108
I think, when I've root and CWM, there is no problem and install a new rom will be very least, so not as it seems
Dude this is a kernel not a rom what's the matter with you??:what:
Sent from ma 5assak
please read all my topic - i flash this kernel only for clockworkmod recovery
through CWM I can flash any other rom
through ODIN only stock - cant find any ICS or JB rom which I can flash via ODIN (.tar file)
What variant of i9000 do you have? Are you sure that the rom you are trying to flash is made exactly for your variant?
EDIT: Try Darky ROM, they have an ODIN flashable version called "Resurrection Edition" or something.
I mean give me the link for the Rom you are using not kernel

Samsung Galaxy S I9000, i'm sure 100%. NOT I9001, NOT Samsung Galaxy S2. Tried many roms from Development section for I9000, tried from get.cm etc... always the same result bootloop with restart

OK. For example: this rom cm-9.0.0-galaxysmtd and cm-9-20120815-NIGHTLY-galaxysmtd from http://get.cm/?device=galaxysmtd
Or this one last ([ALPHA][ROM][4.1.1] CyanogenMod 10 for Samsung Galaxy S) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1778526 and 20120808 build.
and [ROM][PORT][ANDROID 4.1.1][BETA] TAJB: Jelly Bean port for Galaxy S V7.1 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1747042
and this too [4.0.4][ROM] Dark Knight 5.5 [27/4/2012] http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1510940
and many more....

I meant I9000 or I9000B or I9000M or I9000T there's a difference between them
I9000 only, checked it several times
Ok so you can flash Darky Rom Resurrection Edition through ODIN with no problem. Its GingerBread if i remember correctly, but it should give you a recovery mode and fully operating phone. From this point you can flash whatever you want.
....And there is one more important thing:
When I have a stock kernel and stock rom from Samsung, cant get into recovery mode - VOLUME UP and POWER non functional. Only when I type: "adb reboot recovery" in terminal.
Just after when I flash a new pre-rooted kernel with CWM, VOLUPE UP and POWER is now functional
k4Z3666: OK, I try and give you an echo I think, when I format everything in CWM, there will be no sign of the earlier system and ALL WILL BE CLEAR

ok, flashing ICS, may need to be done twice, as first flash may bootloop, IF you want to return to stock to get out of this mess, since you are not sure as to where you are now, due to flashing many roms, use any kit from My Android Collections, link below to get you to a booting ROM, than add a kernel with CWM (use EZbaze package with kernels)
that's helped me too thank you

phone won't boot after flashing cm10 and going back to stock via nandroid

Hi guys,
I just need some short advise:
My dad flashed CM10 nightly a few days ago.
Before that he had a stock froyo rom (i don't know which version exactly) but with root and CWM.
Flashing CM10 worked but he had same bugs (baseband deleted, reboots every 10 minutes), so he flashed CM9 stable hopeing to get these things right. but it didn't, baseband was still gone. So he decided to restore his nandroid backup and go back to his froyo stock.
but that ended in a total disaster and the phone won't boot anymore. it is stuck at the white "Galaxy S" screen (before boot animation).
My dad said, that he tried to restore his backup a 2nd time. but he got many errors including "unknown volume for path /data"
He is a little bit frightened that he could brick his phone completely so he asked me for help.
Well, I don't know what to do besides flashing a stock gingerbread rom + kernel +baseband/modem with Odin.
Am I right with this? Or do you guys got some other advise for me.
thanks for help
try factory reset must done after restore
are you sure?
shouldn'd this be done before restore?
by doing a wipe, I would need to do 2 restors in order to keep my apps..
As the partition layout of CyanogenMod and stock are different, and thus stock partition layout is needed, you have to flash stock using Odin with pit512 and partition enabled. After that restore should work as well.
Besides: If baseband is missing in CM, try to flash a CM modem.

Galaxy S I9000 won't boot after cm10
Hi
Sorry if this is in the wrong place, I've searched, but have no phone now, it won't boot after installing CM10 28/12/2012. It was running, but I wanted to do a nand restore, it said it couldn't find the backup.
It now won't boot, it's stuck on the original Galaxy S GT-I9000 boot screen
This is really urgent (I know... like everything else)... can anyone help me PLEASE??
Thanks

I tried to flash a new ROM on my Galaxy S Plus i9001. After I did that my phone kept trying to boot and the samsung animation keeps showing on the screen but the system does not load. I also tried oneclick unbrick but it still does not work. Please HELP! I am STUCK! Any suggestion would be much appreciated!!!
Which ROM you were before this happens, and what ROM you are trying to install. If you want help, help you first. Hardly anyone here has a magic ball. Give some info...

Well it had CyanogenMod 9 ICS 4.0.4 on it and I tried to flash a stock ROM (Gingerbread 2.3.6). Now all I get is a bootloop
Have a try with bootload fix.
Sent from my GT-I9001 using xda app-developers app
First you need to flash a custom ROM based on Gingerbread(Ginger Revenge, Shadow0-Rom, broodROM Business Edition v1.2 ...) via CWM, and then flash with Odin. Although the phones are the same model, they not have a same work. Try also a CWM>wipe all. Almost every time, if i come back from 4.0.4 to stock 2.3.5 with Odin, i got a bootloop. Don't worry, be happy. Just flash custom GB, then live your live...:victory:

Bricked I9000, but have download mode. It got trickier than I thought.

Hi,
I think I bricked my phone very well. I used Odin to put some GB Kernel in order to be able to upgrade to JB. Later I got into recovery mode and cleaned cache and many other things, but was unable to wipe data\factory reset, from there it all went down. I tried fixing it using this guide, but it didn't help. I still can get into download mode, though. And sometimes even into recovery, but it gives me tones of errors.
What can I do? How do I fix it now???
Thanks in advance!
Fix:
Try to flash a stock GB rom with Odin.
Kernel/ Upgrade to JB
After that flash a rooted kernel. Try CF-Root or Semaphore Kernel.

flash rom first, find ur own firmware, then flash rom using odin, if ur pet kernel first, there will be no rom to reset.

Hi,
got one problem. hope im typing in right section.
Flashed my I9000 to 2.3.6 JVU plus CF-Root. Minutes later ive tried to flash Gamerzrom via CWM.
(done a full wipe / factory reset, wiped caches etc.).
After that Phone reboots and is stuck in a bootloop containing the Semaphore screen and i cannot
enter CWM again. I have to reinstall stock rom first and then root it again.
Dunno what im doing wrong at that point; am i using wrong kernel?
thanks in advance
that gamerzrom...2.3 or 4.2?
if u wanna flash to 4.x, need to flash cm9 first.flash twice, from 2.3 to cm9 to cm10.dont do shortcut please...
cm9 need to flash twice, bootloop will occur on first flash, use 3 button combo to go back to recovery, its da matter of releasing da 3 button, release it rite after u see da white sgs,if still cant, flash back firmware n redo step.
after flashing cm9, do not reboot, flash cm10 or gamerzrom, first flash will error, flash it back again n then reboot, do wipe everything except sd when in 2.3, and please...read first before asking

[Q] Flash, root, new ROM, after "brick" ? HELP ! ;)

Greetings !
Ok, lets start this here
Since i got my new Samsung GALAXY MINI (GT-S5570) i had a bad stock on it, with wi-fi errors, auto restarts, and other problems i was facing with... So i decided to flash and root my phone.
I followed some of the tutorials given by members here on this forum, and i successfully managed to root my phone, and install a new rom onto it !
- I used this rom to flash my Samsung Galaxy Mini (GT-S5570) GINGERSLEEK, was working fine and other, i was satisfied with it, but after some time it got boring and i decided to flash a new rom into the phone. This is where i fcked up... After i found a new rom i waned to flash, i did all the steps i am supposed to do ?
I found this rom VOID ROM and followed his steps how to flash, after i done all of that, and installed the new ROM, my phone didnt want to boot, it got stuck on the " A N D R O I D" boot logo... So after trying to go back to GINGERSLEEK, i couldnt, i installed it, and nothing happens, again stuck on the "ANDROID" boot logo...
So i tried to flash my phone to a stock rom, i had so many problems with ODIN to flash it to stock rom . When i flashed with odin i had a error, it couldnt flash, i was disappointed ... So i used google to find a solution, i was lucky and i landed on some forum where they said i have to flash "arm11boot"... It was kinda weird, why should i do that, but after i did it, everything started to work on ODIN and i could FLASH my phone to the STOCK ROM of Samsung Galaxy Mini!
So i wonder now, since my phone is back to a stock ROM am i able to FLASH it to THIS ROM (VOID) and root it without any problems, and if it is possible if some one could copy/paste me the steps how to flash it and how to root it successfully !
Thank you very much for your help !

Follow this:
1. Make sure you have got gingerbread installed on your galaxy mini/pop s5570.
2. Get root.zip for stock gb(search for that root zip here in galaxy mini section) and flash it via stock recovery.
3. Download this file " update-CWM-5.2.0.8-Touch2-squadzone.zip"(again check galaxy mini section for this zip, don't flash any other phone's recovery, otherwise it'll hard brick your phone, be careful in choosing recovery, it has to be tass compatible recovery) and flash it via stock recovery and restart recovery.
4. Make wipes as recommended by void rom thread and install it. You are good to go after that.

Every phone has a default recovery which we call it "stock recovery".
You should look at sticky threads in galaxy mini android development section.
