If you're running a custom firmware, you might be able to use Triangle Away, from Chainfire: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.chainfire.triangleaway&hl=en

[Q] Notification Drawer Toggling of Mobile Data/Sync

I've seen on the xda forums that some people have 'extra' toggling buttons at the top of their notification drawer(hope it's the correct term, 1st three months as Android OS user), My friend's S3 has them by default too, does the Note have it? or is there a need for root/custom launcher; since S3 has a newer rev of the Touchwiz Launcher. If possible, i would like to avoid rooting!
What the phone currently has, from stock is just 5 buttons at the top, which are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, Profile, Screen Rotation, Power Saving.
Wish to add: Mobile Data toggle/ Sync toggle (dunno if there's any more available)
something like this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=1620625
^yeap, that's it. but i have a query, it's my first time with an android phone, barely used for 4 months.
i don't get wat's flashing with CWM; does that require root? what exactly is CWM, apart from the full name?
does flashing that mod = voiding my warranty like what rooting does?
Bump. Anyone knows why the note doesn't have it o.o

You can use some app from playstore for extra toggles if you do not want to root but flashing this mod requires root and cwm.
If you are rooted, you can have 15 toggles without having cwm, here is a small guide- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=30668303

To root your phone, you could simply flash a safe rooted kernel like Odin version hydracore through ODIN.
You will get yellow triangle and increased counter. But you can reset it easily with triangle away app by chain fire.A simple search would bring it up....

Thanks for the above confirmations/help provided.
One last query, how do I backup my current settings? I suppose the sequence is root, backup and then apply mod?

Bump!
Question in my above post in unanswered :x
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
when u root and apply a safe kernel like hydracore or speedmod.. u will get cwm thru which u can backup the ROM using the nandroid backup feature.
The best start is to get Rooted first.. then install the 15 toggles you want.. search threads and you will find a lot with different shapes and themes

Lol... Exactly. Root is just root. It's not a software for christ' sake. It's just kinda, making your phone "more on your control"

See there is nothing like versions of rooting. Rooting has only two parts visible as of user side. One is CWM app and the other one is SuperUser.
You can't mess up with CWM unless the Dev of your ROM Doesn't nod his head vertically.
So all you can do is Update Superuser to SuperSU.
PM me if you want to know more.
Time to pull your socks up.

SAMSUNG sent me my phone back

guys samsung sent me my phone back as the custom binary download was on 11
now i have it on 0
could i send it back to them again ?
issue is EMMC Bug.
phone is Stuck at flashing Factoryfs.IMG in ODIN .
Are you able to reboot into.recovery? If yes then check you have stock recovery, if not try flashing stock kernel (it wont raise counter), and even on factoryfs stuck you may b able to.flash kernel.
And then send to service centre(if available different one)

what about theys traces left on my internal memory ?
As such they should not concern what you store on storage. But anyway if you want to remove it use aroma file manager, which works with recovery, use that cwm.zip to execute aroma (which is flashble zip)
Note: here i m advising cwm.zip b'oz device is bricked already n no other alternate available, n i have seen file on picture, no one should follow my advise to use cwm.zip, whose note is working. Otherwise it can brick device.

root and CWM with official status

hey all , I just have realized that the only way to root your device and remain in official status is pre rooted rom ( which is full of problems ) , I have read http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2147852 this guide and after reading the comments I think that flashing CWM via odin makes your status costum .. am I right??
Well, if Iam right I have an idea to fix this problem and hopefully it will work
1st Flash official rooted rom with odin .. this will propably wont work fine due to CSC and BBV changes but at least can boot so just download terminal emulator and flash CWM recovery using dd command ( this wont increase CBC or make ur status costum )
2nd back to official rom ( that wont mess with the CWM right? )
3rd download a flashble root via CWM (may increase CBC but can fix with triangle away app )
4th deodox rom via flashble mod via CMW
5th flash theme via CWM
hopefully those steps wont change your status to costum and any increase in CBC can be solved by triangle away right ??
anyone can confirm?
at the end sry for all this questions

[Q] Noob Question.

So, i rooted my phones and my friends phones with towelroot. I rebooted my phone a few times afterwards and i did not have the custom logo. Well i rebooted my phone recently and i now have the custom logo, if i flash my phone back to "stock" would it get rid of the custom logo? Just wanted to know my options.
Questions belong in the QA section
Use triangle away. It will remove it without losing root. Flashing stock will also remove it at the expense of losing root.
