Google Search Crashes From Homescreen 132dpi - TouchPad Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there any way to make the search work on anything other 160 dpi from the home screen?
My search works using voice but crashes automatically on 132dpi with the application has stopped working
Any thoughts?

Works fine for me. I'm running FRF85B.
Works for me. Are you launching from a shortcut in your launcher? Upon updating to 2.2 system app icons broke for me (calendar, gallery, etc) and I got this same error.... I had to remove the icon and re-add them from the app dock and they work fine now.

No, I launched from Home menu not shortcut.

Nearly the same issue.
"The application Voice Search has stopped unexpectedly!"

How do you get 3D mode and all that working in google maps?

I tried to search for this, but I don't seem to be having any luck. I noticed
the google maps 5.0.0 does not have the 3D feature or the 2 finger rotate.
Is there any way to get these working??
Only the Cyanogenmod rom has gotten it working on the gtablet so far. Install that or wait.

Will need to wait a while longer for cyanogenmod. Tried to get it working on the other roms, but for some reason the tab doesn't want to enable it.

Do you just not understand how the search button works or do you just like starting threads.

CM7 - Need both Google Maps and Google Reader to work

From what I've read on these forums, each app needs a specific LCD density in order to work. Is it possible to have both apps work correctly?
I am still on one of the latest CM7 nightlies because I haven't gotten around to updating.

I'm running CM7.0.0 (haven't flashed 7.0.2 yet) and Google Maps works just fine. I tether it to my phone and use Google Navigation for all my traveling adventures. Sorry I can't report on Google Reader as I don't use it so it's not currently installed.
I'm running 7.0.2, DPI left at default.
Maps works fine.
Reader runs full-screen but shrinks to ~480x320 (guestimate) resolution when you tap to read a post.

This is exactly what I'm talking about.
How can I have both apps work correctly?
Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do?
Untilled Google fixes the market you have to use another app like D7.

google Reader: Use the web interface with dolphin hd. Works better than the app.

You may need to move it to system apps
i installed the GE launcher and is not working FYI
Do you have your gear connected to bluetooth internet?
Nop, do I need it for the GE launcher?

out of curiosity, why would you even want to try it? it's in early stages, with barely any customization. can't even change icon easily. i'd recommend sticking to verified apps like nova. works without issues.
For the voice search
no it is not working... i mean... launcher is working fine, but voice search like OK GOOGLE is not working... tired everything... only working solution for voice search is google voice search https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.voicesearch
.... but you wont get voice feedback an no auto listening like in g.louncher (OK google..btw realy awesome featur)... if someone has working solution please share....
