I just rooted my p990 to CyanogenMod 7.2.
I want to output a 720p hdmi signal but I can't find the hdmi settings anymore under the normal settings.
In the stock rom gb there was a special hdmi tab in the settings but that's gone now.
Please help!

CM automatically adjustd the hdmi output. which it the option that is defaulted on the stock rom. if your having a reak problem with connecting to your tv you should try another rom. when i first tried CM7 it was 7.1 and i couldnt connect to my tv untill i tried a nightly build but as far as i am aware CM7.2 works fine..

Hi
Is there any rom that allows me to connect a wiimote and use the TV out. As i can only seem to use one or the other and not both. depending on what rom is installed. I'm currently on cyanogenmod 7.1.0 RC and have tried darky's 10.1.
Thanks
Nope there isn't my only hope is that CM7 gets tv out support.
I don't know how fast the development progress is about that i keep checking the cm7 changelog .
Hi all
I am thinking of upgrading from 4.3 to 5.0 of the ICS Stunner ROM but wondering if the MHL (HDMI-OUT) works in the ROM yet?
I know the USB OTG works which was the other question i had.
Thanks
I think it does. On v5 right now! XD

Can anyone confirm 100% that it works as i know it didnt work in previous version (4.3) of ROM?
Thanks for your replies guys
HDMI
I will give it a try when I get home tonight.
No luck though I have not tried it on any rom before so may be a fault on my end do you just plug it in and the note screen comes up?
I have an mhl adaptor i got for my galaxy nexus. I wkll try it on my note and let you know of it works. Note that you must plug charger into mhl adaptor as usb on phone dooes not output enougb power for mhl.

I just tested my MHL adaptor and it works perfectly fine on Stock 2.3.6 ROM. Can;t test it on an ICS ROM at the moment, but at least I can confirm that the hardware is compatible.
The one I have is this one - http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/bizlink-mhl-adapter-microusb-to-hdmi-tv-out-black-p29839.htm
Half the price of the Genuine Samsung one but works just as well.
Okay i tried the mhl hdmi adapter on the ICS alba rom and it worked I also noticed in the ICS Stunner thread that hdmi was not working yet. So if you want this feature maybe try the Alba Rom

Hi there,
today i've flashed my SGS+ with CyanogenMod 10 by ivendor (alpha2 & 3). First thing i noticed was that the device didn't show up my ad-hoc from my pc with wlan-stick. After restoring my old stable backup (cm9 beta3) all works fine. I've tested this with AOKP JellyBean Alpha 1 too, but same thing. Is this a generally bug in the new jb's alpha for SGS+?
Thanks for your help.
U can copy wpa suppliciant from ivendorr ics over jb. And u will see ad-hoc wifi hotspot. But u need castagnal kernel. Without castagnL kernel you will stuck on obtaining ip adress..

Hello
I have a problem with Wifi tethering : it can connect but I only have the upper arrow on the notification bar icon. So I can't load webpages.
I tried a lot of roms : latest jelly bear 2.55, CM 10.1, Utacka's PA 2.57 011013, imilka's PA 2.55...
It only worked with imilka's PA 1.99 of August.
Someone has an idea?

The problem is that almost no one go and see the Q&A section. Last time I asked a question there, I had no answer....

I'm using stock ICS 4.0.4 and have no issue with WiFi tethering. Although there are times it fails, but it really depends on your network connection.

is there a general tethering problem on custom, or jelly bean roms?
would be a reason not to upgrade, for me..
It really works well with cm 9 and PA 1.99.
It should work with cm 10.1 since most of the people out there report it working but it doesn't with me :/

I've tried with new AOSPA and I can report a new thing : bluetooth tethering works with Wifi connected. But as soon as I am on the mobile network, it doesn't work.

Hey all, I've been out of the touchpad dev loop for about 6 months. I am currently on cm9 alpha 2. I really don't have any problems with it at all, except for the camera/mic, which I don't use skype often, but it would be nice for it to work without having to switch to webos. I also am interested in the low battery drain of cm10, especially in sleep mode. This is the only other thing I don't like about cm9.
I see that cm10 development has been improved, however I also see that flash video isn't officially supported with JB. Can anyone confirm a cm10 rom with flash video in the browser working? I use a flash encoder to stream tv from my house to my tablet, and I use it every day at work, so it's important that flash in the browser works without a hitch. I see you can workaround with Dolphin, however I've tried Dolphin with cm9, and the flash is very low quality, almost unwatchable to me.
If anyone doesn't think cm10 flash is stable enough, can anyone recommend a better cm9 rom with the cam/mic working? I know there is a cm9 nightly thread, but I am hesitant to flash a nightly and develop more problems. I tend to only flash a new rom on my tablet and phone every 6 months or so; I really don't have the time to test out nightly builds.
Thanks to anyone who can help!
I personally had cm9 nightlies installed on my touchpad without a problem. Camera was working, and i believe the mic is as well. You can always create a nandroid backup and try out the nightlies yourself with minimal risk.
I also just installed cm10 and flash video is working in dolphin for me, looks fine but i'm not trying to stream anything high quality.
If you don't want to flash anything new for a while I would stick with the cm9 nightlies. The last nightly i installed was on there for months with no issues. The first post in the stickied thread about nightlies on rootzwiki hasn't been updated in a year so don't mind the statement about the camera not working.
let me know if you have any further questions
