Lockscreen sound!

ok i need some help..
i cant hear lockscreen on/off sound on my phone!is checked on settings but its not working..i tried on gilgamesh rom and cm7 builds 18-19-20...none of the roms i managed to hear the lockscreen sound even if i do full wipe data and dalvik !!
what the problem might be??i can hear very well music and even when they call me i can hear sound even sound on sms alerts etc...!!
any idea so i can make it work???

I face the same problem since today.
It worked fine yesterday but I installed a few apps and played some vidos before I went to bed.
One of them was "Rock Player Lite", the other "Space Buster 3D".
Both apps where deinstalled after a few minutes of use.
Unfortunately, the phone was already in silent mode when installing the apps above.
I do not know if the apps caused this...
As for SW info, I am on stock ROM V10b (although carrier branding/SW).

try this: go somewhere with the phone, where no ambient noises are present.
Press the power button and unlock.
Then hold the loud speaker to your ear and press the power button again to lock your phone.
At this point I can hear the lock sound, but very very quietly...
Maybe someone has an idea what causes this...

I can't remember mine ever having a lockscreen sound..

Yeap i can hear it now but very hard!its so low the sound so i can hear it!!i dont know why is that happening!weird..till before 3 days it was very fine and worked and now i cant even find a solution about this issue!

maybe try lock sound changer from beanfarmer you can put whatever sound you want in..
get it in the market or check it out here:

[Q] Sound Glitches?

Sometimes my sound will just randomly turn him off and then when it comes back it sounds extra loud then normal. And sometimes things just sound bad. like ill be playing a game and the game will sound all glitchy. is there a fix for this?

Would help to know what ROM you are running.

Sound glitches have been fixed in the latest official and unofficial nightly ROMs. You either have not updated or you have one of those devices thats just gonna have issues with android (battery, sound and wifi are the most common)
None of this is new info. Please search the thread for whatever ROM you are using. If no audio fix is mentioned then you need to change ROMs. Once again you use the SEARCH function to find what you need seeding as audio issues are common

Im using the official nightlty from june 18th

There's always been sound problems. They are slowly getting better. A new one I'm dealing with is the infamous 'Machine Gun' sound.
Also, as I run apps for extended periods of time (such as Cut the Rope, or Apollo), the sound will start to get muffled. A solution I use is to close the app, and try reopening it.
A small gripe.

Do you have an explanation or link to a thread with an explanation as to why some devices are just gonna have issues and others won't? Part of me thinks / hopes its just because things are still a work in progress. I have no issues at all with spotify..crystal clear. But then some games like magic piano are horrendous..and other games like mini motor racing only have some popping in the main menu..game play is fine.

(REQUEST) Headset Issue

Hey,
I am starting this thread to ask people about their x8 headset. The problem is the mine is quite soft in volume and even when cranked up to maximum I can't hear voices that well. Is this a shared issue or am I the only one with this problem. Input would be greatly appreciated. If I do not thank you today it is because I have reached my 8 thank limit. Is there any app people can recommend to help with this problem maybe a volume booster. I will be offline for a few days to sort out some coursework but will check back afterward.

As it says in my sig. I am on the MiniCM9. I have DSP but have never used it. All it has is equalizers. It is not quality I want but volume. Thanks anyway.

On CM9 you have to lower the volume to set it higher... Yeah, it's a littlebit weird, but it is like this. So try lowering the volume to half of the maximum!

Yep lower the volume 3 to four times from the maximum. Thats quite a known bug on CM9 and 10
If it still exist using 2.3 ROMS then might have problem with you headset acessories

Sound quality on official JB (T)

Hi troops,
I noticed today while playing music through Bluetooth in my car (using 3rd party music app "power amp") that the dynamic normaliser seems to be active.
If it's that feature that make your music quieter when you have a heavy baseline
I find this highly irritating as I like a loud music experience with plenty of bass.
The thing is these options are all off in the walkman app settings and so I have no idea why this is still happening? :-/
Does anyone know how I can change this or improve the volume, I am sure I am missing something obvious!!

So I got annoyed with 4.1 and went back to 4.0.4 as music in the car is huge for me.

Xperia V has the same problem, tried few JB roms, all have this problem

I noticed it too on ICS. I also think it's normal it behaves that way, as it also happens with Voodoo Control on my Galaxy S. Pumping up the bass lowers the overall volume.

My problem with walkman was solved after i went in settings volumes, lowered Alarm volume and bring it back to max.
After that the volume was louder again but i need to do this each time i connect the phone to the car audio.

I don't have this issue with ics, only jb. I don't mind the feature, but I don't really want it on in the car, I would prefer to control it so I can choose when/if it is active!!

I had the same problem, I had to 're apply
All my equaliser settings in power amp and then 're connect to the car, so I got fed up very quickly and went back to ics

Xperia T sound issues

I had this problem with my Xperia T for a long time. I searched the forums for something like this but didnt seem to find anything similar to this.
So to cut to the chase the problem is that there is no sound from internal speaker no matter which source it is from: walkman, sms sound, call ringtone, youtube, etc. So there is no sound at all from internal speaker, but is I connect my earphones I can hear everything. The only thing that fix this is restarting phone. Now there are two things that triggers this phenomenon. First one is when I am switching between silent, vibrate, airplane and normal modes. Another one is when I listen to music with earphones plugged and I plug earphones out without turning music off. I did factory reset, but it didnt do anything. I am on latest build (9.1.A.1.141). So yeah thats pretty much everything.
If you need any more info please ask and ill try to provide it. Thanks in advance.

The thing with the earphone plug out is a known bug as far as I know. But I remember having read something about a fix in the T General Section.. Just have a look, you might be lucky..
I think the thread is called "Walkman bug solved" or something similar ^^
