Help changing csc code back to EUR pleaseeeee!! - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, sorry for posting this here but i couldnt find anything similar to my problem..
I have changed my csc fron EUR to ATL spain a month ago because i wanted the ics 4.03 update..
After the change the update was successfully installed and now i saw that it has come to EUR too ...
So i am trying to change it back to EUR with the same way... *#272*IMEI# but it is stuck at ATL.. can anyone help me understand what has happened???
Pleassseeeeeeee
thanks in advance

Why not just download the rom you want and flash it using odin? I'm not very knowledgeable about csc but I think your current rom might not contain the appropriate csc.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong

I would also say it is easier to download the ROM you want and flash it.. I believe that you can download them from Sammobile.com

I am not very familiar to using odin and it seemed very easy changing with this way.. Actually when i do the process it shows a lot of csc codes.. and when i choose EUR and hit install it does the process successfully but it remains ATL..
is it possible to lose the Eur csc after the first time?? and why does it show it at the menu that comes up from the procedure??

As far as I know sammobile carries stock roms that you can safely flash with odin its just like if you flashed it trough kies ( it uses the same type of process) and wont void your warranty or increase your flashcounter as long as it's a stock non rooted rom your flashing. Remember to backup what you don't want to loose there is always risks when flashing and that goes for ota and kies to not just odin and cwm

Thank you very very much I found this firmware to be the latest......ww.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3&model=GT-N7000&pcode=EUR&os=1&type=1#firmware......could you chech it please? i also found the guide for how to do the installation.. another question if you dont mind ..
I chose the EUR csc for greece does it matter that i had changed it to ATL?? I suppose that the installation will wipe it and put the one that i chose EUR to be exact.....

Go this thread (by our famous doc' himself - Dr Ketan)- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997
He has all the guides for you to flash ROMS that keeps your warranty intact still.

Hi all..
I just recently bought an unlocked Telstra galaxy tab..
Well..yes i am a noob..
That's why i'm asking..!!
What is this supposed to means?
PDA : P1000TDVJJ3
PHONE : P1000TDVJJ3
CSC : P1000TDVTTELJJ4
What is the connecrion of those above with the ROM's or Kernel? (i see alot of post that mentioned jj*,xx, etc..
Hope someone would be realy kind to help..
Thx in advance

Hello,
Since we are in australia and using P1000T, that is the firmware. Your firmware is JJ3.
Now, from here you can:
Stay stock (leave it at that)
Get custom Rom (overcome, etc)
If you want custom rom, look in the galaxy tab android development and follow the instructions to the letter to avoid bricking your tab.
It is normally advisable to flash your rom to roto's rom first before you get a custom rom. Roto's rom: roto jmi or roto jme, just search the development section.
I flashed 2 P1000t's straight to gingerbread with no problems... The bootloader doesn't need to be patched. Follow the instructions in the overcome thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=596770&d=1305467639 or these instructions & Links on this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=13781955
Just remember, You don't need to flash the modem.bin part, just untick phone in ODIN. This allows you to keep the original Telstra radio...
Cheers, and happy flashing...
Ok bloke so two questions if you can please help. What is the best way to backup the existing stock to restore back to in case i screw it. Also when you say you went straight to gingerbread, which gingerbread rom did you use that was successful.
Did you use/have you heard of the Euro Italian one that is floating around the traps?
OK, here's stock Telstra firmware and radio - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=971870
Read about this on Sarsippius thread... Big thankyou, Sarsippius, for this...
You MUST have AT LEAST 50% battery or you may end up with a brick. The tab doesn't charge during the flashing process so if you have low battery it will be sucked dryt pretty quick. Flashing seems to use a bit of power...
Next, I flashed this - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1073854 , thankyou Chainfire...
You need to follow the steps EXACTLY (if you want pictures go to the overcome thread and get his flashing manual, though there a re a few files named different and he doesn't need to flash the dbdata.tar file after the 1st flash...I also flashed the CF-Root V3.2 afterwards using ODIN....
Flashed 3 times using ODIN. Now have stock gingerbread and CWM on tab...
You can use the modem.bin file from the stock rom to keep the Telstra modem...
Takes about 10 - 15 minutes , go slow, read each step and DON'T skip ahead or you will come a cropper...
Remember, you can ALWAYS flash back to stock through ODIN as long as it recognises your tab....
I then flashed the Overcome rom V2.0.0 RC1 using CWM...
Happy Flashing....
ok..
i just manage to root GT-P1000T with chainfire thingy..(can't remember the name)
i fire up root explorer..and also installed bootloader patch - as per suggestion i found in xda (it says that mine are safe)
does it realy means that i realy could flash my dev with any firmware??

You have the same Tab as I do, yes you can flash any gsm or european rom... DON'T flash the cdma roms as they are different from my understanding, could be wrong...
Look at my post above if you want to flash to gingerbread... I know that works...
Cheers...

1)Yep,but you just need to be a bit careful and assign the files to their respective sections.
2)No,no need to unroot,Recovery isnt an apk file to get su access ...I dont know why but i have seen many people are asking this same question around :/ Do i need to unroot before flashing this and that...
3)No,the firmware will remove it for you..When you flash another firmware,it will replace your custom recovery with the original android recovery
4)Not much,as far as i know, its just minor bug fixes

Odin is not that dangerous :silly: You just have to look that you put the files on the right place and then just dont touch the phone while flashing. Then it is quite safe Just search for a tutorial.
Visit - Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000 - Flashing to Original ROM : https://www.fixmystuff.in/FMS_Forum/threads/samsung-galaxy-s-gt-i9000-flashing-to-original-rom.46/
You can try to flash TeamwinRecovery/CWM with stock recovery than you just copy the stockrom to your sd card an flash it with the TWR/CWM... Afterwards you just flash the stock recovery again with TWR/CWM and you've finished without odin I hope it really works for sgs, cause i've tested that only with sgs plus

update.zip in Cache folder when trying to flash ICS ROM from Stock

Hi there
I recently got a Galaxy S (running Stock Gingerbread.XXJV9) for free off of a family member, so I decided to root it (which I did using CF-Root) and I'm trying to flash RemICS-UX onto the phone from stock 2.3
The thing is whenever I try to flash via ROM Manager, it will tell me there is an update file in the cache folder, when there shouldn't be and I do not know how this file even got into that folder (since this isn't a brand new phone)
Would this impact me flashing a new ROM at all? I have wiped cache at the moment, but before I flash the new ROM I would like to know if I have to repartition for ICS or can I leave it as is and flash without a problem.
Thanks for any help/advice in advance
Hey
The first requirement for flashing a ICS rom is that your phone should have 2.3.6 ValuePack, Rooted...you cannot just flash it on 2.3 stock..

Ah ok, there is a link to that ROM in the dev forum for this phone then I assume (just it isn't stickied like in Desire S forum)
EDIT: Found the link, these are really different to Desire S stock flashing, hopefully there is a glossary for what CSC means
Anything else I need to do with that ROM after I've flashed it besides reactivate root if I don't use a pre-rooted one?
Hey
Actually u dont need to do anything.. the roms quite good...plus rooting is ur option and is preferred if u need ics..
Cheers
If my post helped, don't mind hitting the Thanks button..

Ah awesome thank you,
Also I can flash straight to ICS from the CF-Root provided for the value pack without any extra requirements right? As I plan on doing so, because the Value Pack update has basically messed up my settings and everything, so I don't want to stay on it for a while
Hey
You can Flash any ICS rom once your phone is ont 2.3.6 rooted...not need to wait...
