[Q] [REQ] App2SD-ext for Jelly Bean/CM10 - Galaxy Ace S5830 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I wondered about app2sd-ext no longer working in CM10 beta1. I think it is essential on our Ace.
Link2SD does not free enough Space.
So I took a look in the Amarullz and Cronmod script and they point to /sdext/* but, at least for me, sd-ext directory is in /data/sdext2.
So I changed all lines to the new directory and rebooted.
My phone booted successfully, but titanium backup does not recognize the "new" internal memory and nore does the system app manager.
Im not a scripter and no developer but i think it could be the problem, but maybe i forgot to change something. Can anyone help me/us?

[Q] Stock SGS1+ cant download from google play store error 927

Hi all,
My father just bought a new sgs1 plus phone but there some problem with it.
Biggest problem of them is when the market app updates to google play store it cant download a single app.
Mostly it says error 927, sometimes its 901 or something like that, so i've been looking around the forum and been trying some proposed solutions like clearing the cache data and setting the phone back to factory settings.
The only thing that does work is removing the update of the play store so that it's the old market app wich allows for 1 app to be installed before updating itself again.
Anyone has some idea of what i should do?
Thanks in advanced.
Same problem here, please help!!

Hi
i had the same problem ans this is what you have to do in this order go to settings applications manage applecations and the the all tab go to
Google play and uninstal updates. then go back to the all list and go to download manager and whipe data. then reboot and on boot leave your phone for a few mins (conected to the internet) so that the google play update can download and the problem sould be fixed, if not then you need to do a hard reset:-(
hope this helped
Thx It worked for me

Removing Stock Apps?

There are some bundled apps with the phone that aren't un-installable, what would be the best way to remove them?
Root and remove from /system at a guess.
Doesn't even look as though it'd need the boot loader unlocking!

Root your Phone and just freeze the Apps with Titanium Backup.
You can easily Root without unlocking your Bootloader with bin4rys method.

I uninstall system apps after rooting with Titanium Backup Pro - just select the app and choose un install (always an Idea to do a backup of the app first in case other apps depend on it) . Not sure if the free version of TB can do the uninstall though.
I've used TB Pro for ages to strip all the bloatware that comes with stock firmware.
Thanks for the help guys, I rooted using Binary's method and then used the free version of Titanium backup to remove some of the bloat.
Anyone found all the different locations of all the different bloat-and-crap-ware?
If one of the knowledgeable members could compile a list and folder location of what is all safe to remove and what not, it would be awesome!

So far came across, 'root/etc/product/applications'
EnchantedForest.apk
magicbox-ea.apk
mcafeesuite.apk
neoreader.apk
officesuite.apk
playnowclientarvato.apk
psmplaceholdereu.apk
SemcSnpStore.apk
smartcontacts.apk
sonyqriocitymusic.apk
trackid.apk
wisepilot.apk
EDIT: This is not a list of recommended apps to remove. Its a compilation of all apps found under this specific location.
I usually freeze them with Titanium.
Not to steal the thread, but I am curious WisePilot. Seems to have good reviews, but I am not sure I want to fork over $ for nav. Anyone used it that can comment? Also, as a business user, there's an app on your list that I NEED

Sorry, if you misunderstood my post. I haven't made any recommendations of what to keep or delete. Just a list of apps found in that location.

[Q] Multiple Apps on Xperia Sp

Hiii Friends,
I have this Problem since i bought XSP, whenever i open multiple apps at the same time.
Whenever i open multiple apps n switch to different app it didn't resume at all, app or game started all over again.
every app or game started all over again instead of resuming itself.
i saw some of my frnds Devices (mostly Smsng), apps or games gets to its resume position while switching apps or games.
also when i listen music on Walkman + internet browsing on any app or work on editing apps; Its works fine for a while (5-6 mins) & then Walkman stops playing song (hanged).
anyone facing the same problem?
is it low RAM issue?
Why this happens?
Any solution?
Running 4.3 (.205), rooted via towelroot app, 75% RAM in use.... Plz HELP ME

didn't understand single word you said
Any solution for it??
U have cwm recovery? No, look here for cwm recovery somewhere here in the sp thread. Look for xda supercharger and google xda universal odex script. No time to look for u , then read and when u like use it but don't odex data and system apps. Or better first look for the eXistenZ rom. It's stock nice and for looked bootloader and then use the other steps.

Mate S runs very slow

Hi,
I've updated my Mate S to Marshmallow, but I've feeling that it runs very slow. It has big lag when I scroll Google Play Store, webpage in Chrome, Facebook, etc. Has anyone got similar issue? I thought phone of that specification will run faster.
Thanks in advance.
did you perform a wipe after the update?
after that it should run smooth..
which version do you have now?
Gesendet von meinem HUAWEI CRR-L09 mit Tapatalk
B321, EMUI 4.0, Marshmallow 6.0
I've restored factory settings, but problem remains.
ok..
so try to get the c432b361 update for mate s (this is the newest firmware in europe for this device actually)..
make the update as usual (make a backup), after that make a factory reset and just restore what you really need..
another thing i can imagine is that you use the function to store apps on the external sdcard, then it is feeling a bit laggy cause of the sdcard (just my opinion)..
try to keep internal storage as your favourite place for apps..maybe then it is not that laggy..
Gesendet von meinem HUAWEI CRR-L09 mit Tapatalk
I've rollback it to Lollipop, and it's ok now. Everything works faster. Even ACR app works properly now.
The update you mentioned is not available on polish Huawei site. It's definitely the last Huawei phone, I bought.

[Request] Debloat module with GUI

Hey developers!
Magisk is awesome, and there is a lot of untapped potential. For example being able to debloat without touching system! For some devices there are already modules around and I know creating one isn't that hard.
but: if there was one to create a module that shows you the applist and checkboxes.. the checked apps will be 'debloated' upon next reboot..
we would need only 1 app to debloat all devices, and even those who are unable to create the module themself can tap into the mind of magisk!
Unfortunately i'm unable to create such a GUI myself and hope someone is out there who would be willing to create such a thing.
what do you guys think?
This would be nice to have. Would be great to remove all the Google stuff from new devices.

+1 to debloater module ?
After every ROM update (flashed), I need to manually delete unwanted apps in system (like webview, music app from dev, system setup, etc)... So that I can make system space for other necessary sound enhancer modules like ARISE...
It will be great if it can be automated with debloater module.

But wouldn't it be much more easier to use Titanium Backup? You could select the (system-)apps (use filter), you want to freeze (yes, freeze. Otherwise, the concept of working systemlessly would not make sense), create a label for that and then select the corresponding batch-task, reboot and ready...
