It's likely half the rating if that. There's a reason these are so cheap. They're crap, and fake.
Best scenario: Everything works, albeit the battery doesn't last as it should.
Worst scenario: Ends up breaking your phone.

Yikes. Yeah if the voltage wasn't 3.7V I'd stay away from it - my initial thought was that they might not be Li-Ion. Do they have a factory in Hong Kong specializing in printing fake labels to put over old 1000 mAh batteries? lol. Well I'll let you know how it goes, either way I was told it "shipped"...
I'm running Codename Android 3.5 with the latest stable Air Kernel at the moment, and that gives me a good 3.5 hours of screen time and 30 hours running time in general typically between charges - with my old-ass original battery. Maybe I should just be happy with that and not take the chance of plugging this guy in :/
He's got a 99% feedback rating and 700 sales so we shall see.

It's a worst case scenario. Most likely it will simply not hold a good charge. I don't believe they have a factory specialized in printing fake labels. They just have a very optimistic way of calculating these things.
Then again, aren't you surprised they can cram supposedly 2450mAh in the same format of a quality Samsung 1500mAh battery? That's more than 50% added to the OEM battery in the same size battery. And for cheaper.
I got this rule in life, but even more so with chinese electronics. If it seems too good to be true, it's probably too good to be true.

That's a good philosophy - this is where glass half full doesn't pay dividends - Chinese electronics

I bought one of these batteries via ebay. As soon as I get the text and see. . . I will let you know

There's a similar one that's supposedly made in Japan on Amazon for $20
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005O8S55U/

please report back.... it should be very obvious the increased battery life it it is what it stated.
I doubt it, but if its true ill be buying one haha.

So I'm sure you've all been anxious to hear what happened with the miracle battery. Lol. Got it in the mail today. Which is funny because the day after I ordered it I called him out on the fakes... he ended up giving me a refund and it was processed. Ha! Well I bought a Samsung SGH-989 I'm using as my main machine since all this and have given my Nexus S to my son... But I'll test out the battery over the weekend and report back with details

Any updates on the performance? What does the phone recognize for the capacity?
Sent from my Nexus S using xda app-developers app

O MAN! i got excited until i read the comments

I just received one of these (charging up now). I will report back with performance results after a day or two of use.

Does anyone know of a tool or utility to verify the stated capacity of the battery? I used battery spy but it didn't really have a stats page other than to see the graph of power related activity. My son's battery has been working fine for the past couple of weeks. He seems to get about 36 hours runtime with WiFi GPS and sync on. No 3g data plan just a my5 talk and text. Typically 3 hours screen time, 30 mins talk time, over that 36 hour charge. If there's an app for this let me know and I'll put up some screenshots.

This is essentially idle standby performance which I thought was pretty good!

Yes because a paperweight should get the best battery life. Report back with some usage. I'd be interested in how it really stands up to my stock one.

@dartmouthy
In order to properly test your battery vs stock one, some battery testing software is needed : obviously:
Look at these apps
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.NanoDinamics.NovaTester
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.batterybench&feature
note: the first app's description is in russian but app language is in english and it does give exact capacity in mah and both app take long time for testing.
Choose app you like and if you or your son have enough spare time try to test it out. Also state what ROM and kernel you're using. Then we can see does battery really have stated capacity.

2400 mAh Extended Battery w/ Back Cover+Kickstand $14.30 SHIPPED

I searched the forum, and only found a thread pointing to an ebay auction for $5.00 more with a dead link.
Plus it includes free shipping.
For $13 it's worth a try.....
Are we allowed to link?

sounds to good to be true... I wonder how does it compare with the official one.
Buying it right now, but are you sure it has a kickstand ?
Yeah in photos there is a kickstand attached to back cover.

Nice news..
Old news... Try it and send feedback.. although i think there is already a topic for the specific battery and the feedback is not so good... Anyway i think it is very useful if you want to carry a small hydrogen bomd in your pocket...
i will order this, to night and post foto's of it when i got it @ home
this is worth to try
twist me, this is not a exdended battery...it hold only one day..
what I have seen is that you can charge it with android...
so this is a proof that it s not exdended...
DO NOT BUY IT!!
I bought this battery from ebay
and it is the same as the link in the 1st post. It charges fine with my MIRI ROM. Saturday I was working at a flea market for 8 hrs and we were checking the weather radar on line all day, etc. 78% when I got home. Regular battery would have been about toast. The cover clipped right on my 9193 like it was made for it. I cut a form fitted hole in the back of a cheap gel case and it works like a charm. You can use the kickstand this way. Gives a better hand hold with the bulge and does not seem any heavier or bulky in my pocket. Certainly not enough to make a difference. I could carry it every day without any problem and I am a skinny runt. I only need it for extra long days.
Just a note from someone who actually has one.

Maybe i am stupid or something but if u readed the builds of android and followed the logs of HTC linux etc, u would see 1 thing. They have already support for Extended batteries in the kernels.
So search before u say its fake.

Can you please report if you have such problems with this one, or not? And how tick does it make the phone look? Can you provide some pictures of your phone with this battery from different angles?

Guys,
I am looking for a kick stand cover only, without the extended battery. Does it exist?

I am loosing my mind! Note eating battery and superslow

Hi!
My Note has for a quite long time now been slow, laggy and eating battery.
Didn't mind, had a car charger, suspected old battery and clogged storage.
About a week ago it came to a complete stop, taking 30 sec to open facebook.
And typing in Swiftkey an impossibillity, having keystrokes on a 5-10sec lag.
So finally i got a new battery, whiped the phone clean.
Flashed the phone with a fresh rom (Team Union JB XXLT4 V7)
Installed my apps manually, making shure no crap cache was brought.
Formatted internal storage and got a new 32Gb SanDisk Ultra card.
Fresh start, fast phone right? no.
Apps still unusably slow, typing on swiftkey impossible without lagging.
Battery from a full charge last about 6h with light usage.
Would like to stay on TW only for the MHL capability, but now i am open to anything.
Can't really afford a new phone, so if this can't get resolved ill switch to my old 3GS.
What do i do now?
What can i try?

Just listened to som music, and some light surfing, thats about all. Battery blames is all on the screen and os about 33% & 33%.
YOu should try AOSP/AOKP Roms!!!
I think one of the apps you have is causing the problem.
When i had the same problem it turned out to be the podcasting app i had.

Well, yeah couldn't find any original though, and don't want to wait weeks for a shipment, so got a copy brand "ENERGY" spacy logo and made here in Thailand. Only 2350mAh compared to the original 2500mAh.
Found that the new battery didn't really make any difference, about the same.
So worried i got new but crappy battery I'm now back on original, without any noticable change.
Considering getting a external charger and carrying the spare battery, that is not really a solution either.
Got get this phone working reliably soon, or i need to find a replacement.
Appreciate the tips, and ill try and make a study with "top" and get back to you guys.
Maybe i have a energy hog after all...
It's a pain in the butt, but it looks like the only way to resolve it is to do a clean wipe, then install each
app one by one, giving yourself a day or two of usage. Sucks, but it sure sounds like one app is
screwing up another one. Any chance you can (shudder) use a "memory cleaner/program closer"
after you use each app, to make sure it's closed as a test? Sounds like something sure is
interacting with something else.
USe Greenify and hibernate all apps!!!
Check your Google account settings. If you have sync Internet ticked disable it.

Really?
I thought my battery life was bad. 7h15m with 45 min screen time after charging my battery is at 67%
That is with wifi and bluetooth (with music playing) on and connected.
GPU overclocked and lowest step 200mhz(from 133 and max 400) and cpu up to 1550 Mhz.(okay, i did reduce the voltages, sue me)
and google location service on.
On original battery (dec 2011), that is about to die (screen starts glitching around 30%)
Somehow you are doing it wrong.
You would be surprised at what a speed deference you will get and battery life with aosp roms I have used tw and aosp and always go back to aosp based when tw starts to get laggy. But as most have said most likely a app causing your problem you should try install new Rom with all wipes inclueding preload I think thats what its called and make sure that media scan is not always running

How about reading the first post AndroidSlave?
What's this snarkyness that's infected xda?
Shure wasn't around back in the WM days.
This is and or was a very "General" issue with my phone, as i am still not entierely shure is a plain software issue.
However i've made the switch to a or the PA-rom out of desperation.
Still too early too tell, as it is first day after flash, but feels smoother.
What is driving me mad on PA is the lack of lockscreen-homebutton-torch.
Also a bit dissapointed in "Screen Mode" dynamic mode missing.
Missning SPen->screenshot->notetaking is bugging me aswell, but i'm shure ill find some replacement thing for that.
EDIT:
You, know what.
I apoligise if i posted this in the wrong place.
And no bad intentions towards you AndroidSlave.
I just feel that it's the place of a MOD and not of a user to make these claims.
Please just use the report button in if you feel like this, instead of posting a retorical question.

Fair, on average about 700 to 800 points higher on Quadrant than the old phone, although keep in mind much of the Exhibit's score revolved around very high I/O readings. With a normal I/O score, the Exhibit would be about 1000-1200 points lower. You can look at the attached screenshots to see what I mean. The Exhibit is on the left, S2 on the right.
Some folks over there posted very exaggerated scores of over 4000 which they got with TW ROMs that had 2Ghz OC and probably used V/R for I/O.

Oh very true, I have no illusions about the hardware on this device. It's as old as the Exhibit, in fact. It does have sufficient hardware for what I need however. The Exhibit is just so limited on CPU and RAM it drove me crazy when I used it. I learned you couldn't make a Kia a Jaguar with it basically, no matter how hard I tried. The S2 crushes it, but let's all face it, that's not saying much.

I take it you mean the Light, cause we know the Exhibit isn't doing those kinds of numbers! Hey the Light has much better hardware than the S2, no question. However I didn't want it without root. I won't have any phone that I can't do what I want to do with it. Getting rid of bloat for starters. If your device gets a work around for the bootloader and some established devs get involved, there are some very nice possibilities in store.

We have root cwm TWRP debloated stock. And a stock based rom. Like peach sunrise was in the beginning. Its called Lightwave. Decent. But not perfect. A few devs are trying for a CM11. One just posted a progress report. I would tag him but his name is hard to tag (@ root @ ) no spaces. And no parenthesis.
I have been working on porting stuff. Gotten pretty good thnx to the exhibit being free to do what I want. I have been using it to fine tune my porting capabilities. The tool I use to use never was quite right..... so anyways. How are things on your side of the tracks?

I wish I could tell you they were good, but not really. The S2 has been a miserable failure from almost month one. I honestly hate it almost as much as I did the Exhibit. ROM after ROM has failed to fully deliver the goods, mainly due to the dated hardware this thing has. I really goofed on this purchase. Every time I think I have the perfect setup, it bombs later. That story sounds familiar doesn't it? Right now I am running PA on it and thanks to the latest Fly On Mod Alpha 3 it's a fairly decent setup for now. I'd like to quit on this thing and wait until the next phone to start ROM flashing again. You can't make a Honda run like a Porsche, bottom line. BTW this is the last Samsung I will EVER buy again! EVER!
On the Galaxy Light, one of the people at work bought one and no offense, I wasn't impressed. Only a few days after she had it, she was asking what was causing some of the FCs she was getting. The thing was lagging and it wasn't until I put Nova launcher on it some of the lag went away. Just another Samsung hunk of junk IMO. But if you are still loving it, I am happy for you at least. Development is not going to really go anywhere on it, at least where you will get official support. Samsung has already moved on to the Avant. Let's be honest. We both need to get a 1+1 or Nexus to really have a phone that delivers. I plan on it soon too. Also good on you for expanding your skills. I made a port for the S2 but it had some bugs. This stuff just consumes too much time too.
Good to hear from you bro BTW. Good old Rebel ROM, it really was one of the good ones for the Exhibit. At least I have learned a lot here.

Hey, AD. Good to hear from you, again. Sad news about the S2. My Light was never a problem, and my wife still uses it. When i updated the rom, the phone lost root. It's easy enough to get it back, but my wife doesn't really care. The bloat is still gone, and now we have VoLTE. Pretty good swap. I've moved to a Nexus 5. It's not rooted, either (tried, using the Nexus root kit, but it wasn't working. I think i messed up getting the correct driver), but again, no bloat so no worries. With a 32gb internal drive, I'll never have storage problems. It's taking some time to get used to the size, but that's not a big deal. There are certainly lots of roms available, should i choose to go that route.
Again, good to see you again.

What kind of battery life are you getting?

Hey everyone,
I was checking out the battery stats thread over at the m7ul forum, and I was blown away. People were getting 5+ hours screen time, no problem. Obviously, we can't reproduce their setups; our phones aren't compatible with their ROMs.
So, I thought this thread may come in handy for those of us struggling with battery life, and would like to know what kinds of numbers can be achieved. Post your battery stats here along with your setup. Include ROM, kernel, tuning, services, etc. please!
I know the Sprint M7 is kind of a dying community, but hopefully we'll get a lot of participants.
*ahem*
Wow guys don't all post at once.
Anyway, I guess I'll just share mine to get you started.
As you can see, my battery life sucks. Not sure why, because I'm running SD 9 with Kangaroo, and I installed Amplify to reduce the Google Play Services Wakelocks. Also, power saver is on 24x7. If anyone has a recommended setup, that would be great. thanks!
install greenify this will help you significantly increase your battery life https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oasisfeng.greenify&hl=en
The sound of silence...
Yeah, hopping place ya got here. LOL. I've ROM hopped all over the place, tuned and tried apps, prayed to the dark lords of battery power, all to no avail. The M7's battery life simply stinks. But, it's a supercomputer in your pocket, so I kinda have to think that's fairly amazing. I use power saver mode ALL the time, never have a need to crank it up, I turn my brightness down to the first bar on the quick toggle when I use it and the lowest setting for just glancing and messages, Beats off, NFC off, any radio I'm not using off, GPS off and in battery saving mode. I stream via Bluetooth for probably five solid hours at work and I can make it all day with some texting and make it home, so I can't complain. But, if I'm streaming, talking, surfing, and such, I'm glad I carry my charger everywhere I go.

Well you can't objectively say it's battery life "stinks" because there are definitely people out there getting absolutely incredible numbers in the int'l forum. I just wanted a Sprint specific thread so that we could replicate the setups of people having great success.

That's actually the reason I created this thread. I want to see if there are any Sprint users who can actually get that kind of battery life. So far, it seems that they can't.
I would hate for that to be true, but I've never seen a Sprint phone get those insane numbers. So, it's possible that Sprint's network is a battery hog. But we can't conclude that unless absolutely nobody posts a good setup.

There doesn't seem to be a lot of us left, unfortunately. Must of the guys I knew when this thing was hot jumped to the M8 when it came out due to the problems this phone has. There's not alot of devs out there making ROMs either, though in HTC's defense, Sense 6 was so awesome there wasn't a huge need to go crazy. The one thing that has always been said though, is poor battery life. I'm on SkyDragon v 10 now with nagging wife kernel and I'm not too unhappy, I can post my stats for fun tomorrow. But, do us unstock guys count in your test?

So far, it seems like a no.

Ugghhhhhhhhh why. I used to have TMo, was happy with it, got caught into sprint with gimmicks. I hate my life.
OK it's not that serious, but why is this?
8/5 means 60% EXTRA battery life. That would explain how the people in the international forums get such insane numbers.
So, what's the best we can do with our measly Sprint phones?
3.5 hours Screen on time
I'm using a Sprint HTC One on a GSM network in India. I get on an average around 3.5 hours of screen on time.

What percent of your battery usage goes to Android System? According to GSam. I've noticed that the GSM guys have app usage in the high 20s or mid 30s. Mine is in the mid 50s. The Android System battery drain and kernel wakelocks are the issue here.

The comparison is not exactly valid. You're comparing a smaller 4.6" screen with HD resolution only (Z3C) with a 5.0" Full-HD (X Perf.).
Think it's more realistic to compare it to the Z2, Z3, Z3+ and Z5...

Thanks for the review...
I have a few things.. The phone going to 3g is normal, in Denmark when making a call to a number from another provider it goes to 3g but when making call to one using same provider it uses 4g for HDVOICE.
LTE is the same as 4G even though it is not 4g but that is another story. It is the same...so no big deal there.
I will await my phone and I look forward to it, my old z3 is in bad shape ?
Thanks again and have a great weekend ?

HellRoot,
Sure thing man!
Well here a phone w/o VoLTE should stay in 4G at least, but I guess if the one is not FROM (or locked) a carrier, it's not gonna get 4G. I just found out what I'm getting during a call is that it's switching back & forth between 3G and H+, or 3.5G. Some real BS eh? lol
Yeah NOT during a call my int'l XP shows LTE, which I know now is the same as 4G LTE. But it's DURING a call that is what I'm concerned with. Apparently there's more to it than just the VoLTE-certification, b/c my phone is no different than the T-Mo Z1s (which again does NOT have VoLTE either) EXCEPT that it's unlocked and int'l.
Yeah I had the Z3 too and I LOVED it!! Got the S7 but it just wasn't the same. lol Tried the HTC 10 too but still.........to me, Sony is still the best. The Z3 had better battery life than the XP does though, so make sure to get that 360 Hibernation Master app (full paid version!) too. See my review for all the details. Also a QC 2.0 or esp 3.0 charger will help deal with that too.
YW. You too buddy!!

This phone is finally a fine replacement for my z3c. The z5c has been a huge disappointment, horrible battery life, average camera, constant resets or firmware reinstalls.
First off, it's ridiculous that the contacts app force closes. Not sure how that doesn't get caught in beta. Aside from that the phone stays cool, is fast, takes amazing photos, and is eminently stable.

Hey Bialynia,
Yeah I really love it too! I wish it had a bigger battery like my Z3 did, but it's still pretty good, esp when using the 360 Hibernation Master app with it. Works like Stamina Mode but better.
Yeah I think it's ridiculous too. I started a thread on here a few days ago about it. MGS seems to have found a fix, but it didn't work for me, though it might for you? Take a look at the thread here. Let me know if it works for you or not (if you try it)!
I agree on all points....... the camera is definitely better than the HTC 10's and even my now former Galaxy S7's! More detailed than the 10, and more color accurate (and not oversaturated) than the S7's. It runs and loads up apps much quicker than the S7 did, and that had an extra GB of RAM on it! The speakers sound much better than the S7's super awful lone speaker, it doesn't skip while playing music through MicroUSB port with headphones like the S7 constantly did, looks really premium too, etc. I have absolutely no regrets about buying it this phone.
I'm hoping to have an unlocked US version of the X performance possibly late this week and will post thoughts.
lindseybp,
Nice. Despite Sony Mobile not advertising it for the US XP, many people are claiming that the US XP WILL in fact be IP65/68 compliant. It'd be nice if someone (not saying you lol) could test that. Others on here say sometime soon (if not already) someone will develop a flash for the US XP that will actually activate the fingerprint sensor. You may want to ask around on here about that if you want to use it. They say it won't require root or even unlocking of the bootloader, which is extra nice. lol

Yeah it would. lol So far I've been told you need something called Flashtool (bookmark that link and download now) and then the FTF file (int'l individual firmware file which will just activate the fingerprint sensor, vs the full int'l firmware file which will change everything, but you may not want that.) It's nice b/c unlocking the bootloader on an Xperia phone has been known to permanently mess up the camera, but this doesn't require that or again rooting either. I'd also check through these threads with the word "firmware" being the search term used for the XP. Or just start your own requesting that FTF file.
Haha again, I WASN'T implying you should test that, but someone. I'm sure someone on YouTube will soon enough too, so I'd keep checking there.

I started having other issues with XP this weekend. It randomly restarted like twice on its own, and now after doing another factory reset, I'm noticing that during calls where I have Speakerphone off the screen is STILL not turning off. So returning it for a new one, and am hoping I'll have the same luck MGS did with everything including the Contacts app. lol
