So here's what happened. I had nova 3 on my vivid. And no I didn't buy it. I downloaded it from apkmania. Okay, so my game was running perfectly until I tried to update it to the new version thru apkmania. Now all of a sudden it says that nova 3 is incompatible with my phone. No matter where I download it from. I don't know what happened? I already rebooted, uninstalled, everything. But nothing seems to work. So I came to xda hoping maybe someone can help? Please?

Downgrade it orbit it.. I'm pretty sure piracy or whatever is against the rules so yeah.. and tthe upgrade didn't add anything so its not really worth it

I can't downgrade it gives me the same problem. What do you mean by orbit it?
And every time I re download it, it gives me the same message that my device isn't compatible. Idk if there's a file that isn't letting me play it or what? I just really want some help. :/

I'd suggest you try the actual app from the playstore to see if it has the same compatibility issue.

To be honest, I doubt that you need it. As long as you watch your downloading etc habits.
I have no issue with odin.....If I were to catch something it's back to stock and reflash for me. No antivirus here. BTW - this is not advise, it's just my personal motto.
Thanks I'm gonna try agv or lookout if not for the antivirus then for the finding my phone if I lose it somehow

seconding this, just make sure the app you download only has access to what it is suppose to do, on a side note, I use antivirus free.
I feel they are pretty pointless as long as you get all your apps from the market and read the reviews before downloading anything.
Just be smart about what you download.
it only wastes battery.
go look at any thread about "crappy battery" you will notice 1 thing!
they all run antivirus
One word LINUX.
That is what android is. It will only do what you tell it to.
As others have said watch what you download. The only way to infect your phone is by your own mis-judgement. There are no auto installers, you have to approve everything you do.
That being said why would you need an anti-virus?
I mostly agree with that...
However, with the recent issue with Google pulling several Malware apps from the market(most that were duplicates of legitimate apps)
I am a bit worried about where this is heading.
Although I suggest using Droidwall
With a white list to only allow specific apps to access internet.
Listen, I'm brand new to the cappy, so I'm here to learn, and new to Android, and I just learned tho ditch my a/v!

Has anyone here ever been charged twice for an app? When minecraft pocket edition came out for all phones, I bought it. However, I don't like the game in it's current state and will rebuy when it's more like the PC version. So I hit the refund button thinking everything was dandy and when I checked my statement I had another charge of $6.99. I contacted Mojang and they never responded, how do I get my $14 back? :|
Thanks.
Keep annoying Mojang until you get a response? Or... maybe you could contact google and tell them what happened since. You know.. they made the market and stuff

yes i don't know too. I really want to know.

Is there anyone who can tell what is this id? And what happens if it is changed?
The device id is yet another manner that your apps can be linked to your phone. Most apps are linked to your account, but some, particularly those that you could not pay for via market, used device id so that you could not buy an app and then install it on several devices.

I've got a mac and have successfully rooted the HTC One using it. I followed a guide I used previously to root the One X, the steps are exactly the same.

I think the only step that was different is when you install a recovery, I used one specifically for the One

glad someone finally said it. After owning 50 or more apple computers since the IIci, many of which have gone around the world on tours loaded with ProTools with no significant issues at all and many happy customers, I can't understand why I still buy that junk.
I bet a HP would do the job nicely, if they support it a month after I bought it.
your lobotomy is ready.
what an incredibly stupit blanket statement.
Guys, just ignore the troll. If you don't feed it, it will go away.
Successfully rooted all my devices with a Mac. Just need fastboot and adb, everything else is identical to rooting on a PC.
In the development section there is a great post by torx which outlines the steps. But basically you first unlock the bootloader through HTC, then install recovery and flash Superuser or SuperSU in recovery. Then you're unlocked and rooted and can install Rom's.

I just did, though, there are rumours saying that something is wrong with, too lazy to dig in, but it does the job, flawlessly I must say.
Yes you can, but theres a lot discussion about kingo root
Sent from my GT-P5110 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
It will root your phone, but will collect and send a lot of data to China in order to do so.
Kingo claim that they no longer collect your IMEI, but say nothing about device ID/serial numbers etc that they have been caught sending unencrypted to their server before.
I do not trust them at all and the fact that their app is currently not allowed on XDA says a lot.
Edit - Also, the guy saying he is too lazy to find out what is wrong with the Kingo app is just the sort of person that creators of malware rely upon to both use and propagate their apps. Laziness is no excuse to use and recommend use of questionable software, ever.

Dude, you sound butthurt really, I did not recommend it in the very first place, I just said that it does the job, and in my case, flawlessly, I don't know about you, but for your kind information,, I have been using doomlord method since the good old x10 days, but recently it doesn't work, so, I have no choice but to resort to kingo, what other choice do I have left? Well maybe there is, but kingo happen to stumble upon me. I never did said that he should be doing the same, but since he was asking, and I happen to have gone through it, I just said it, I even said that they were kind of suspicious, but just wanna let you know, the way you reply doesn't help that much either.
Thanks, and have a nice day
I really don't care what you did to your phone, but suspicious software that is banned from this site is not 'flawless'.
I posted merely to make sure that anyone with any sense that viewed this thread knew of its suspicious nature and stayed away from it.
Finally, just because you are unable to follow the simple instructions for DooMLoRD's method for rooting 67, doesn't mean it doesn't work. It works just fine for me and thousands of others.

I also miss the old days, when this place wasn't overrun by people that are unable to comprehend things properly before trying to score some sort of worthless victory over somebody that actually knows and double checks what they're talking about before they post.
Edit - I reported that thread as it appeared that links to Kingo had been left in the OP by mistake. The links have now been removed.
Hopefully this will stop the spread of it until they have stopped collecting data from their users.
