I cant use proxy app like auto proxy or transparent proxy with this rom. Error is inform about iptables. Any fde user have problem like this ?

im use FDE+4 w8 too,,but i dont have any problem,,but what is proxy app???give me example,,im use FDE with Alfs gdx no capped,,everythings fine
Proxy app for set proxy in wifi, because for connect to internet in my office must through proxy server.

Use _motley kernel.
It has tun module compiled inside, OpenVpn just work's fine.
Even the stock kernel has tun/tap compiled in. No need for a tun.ko module.

i connect with vpnc widget to my AVM Fritz Box 7390,
and modify the avm config "accesslist = "permit ip 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 192.168.1.201 255.255.255.255";"
with this change (blue) i browse now over the AVM Router.

What ROM are you using? Depending on the ROM, you may already have the option to install the VPN settings from the main settings menu. (Menu > Settings > Location & Security > Install from SD card). Once your ca is installed, setup the VPN under wireless and networks.
Specifically for openvpn'
Download two apps. Openvpn installer and openvpn setting.
Install them both.
Run the openvpn installer and accept all defaults.
Run openvpn settings and choose your certs folder.
To launch (connect) you just need to run openvpn settings and tick the connection you want to open.
I have been using it on overcome from and aokp ice.

Hi Priyana, what's the 'verts folder'? I was told to creat a openvpn folder under the SD root, then what the file/files should I copy to that folder?

The cert folder is just a folder where you need to have your config file and your vpn keys/certs
Speak to your network admin. You can't just have a vpn without a server. So the server owner need to give you the necessary certs to access.

Ok.... I dont have that kind of service. What I need is to set up the VPN so I can access with Facebook or Twitter and so on...sometimes even for Gmail..... There are 4 countries in the world cant use them I am luckly living in one of those So, I applied an account and password from www.daili99.net, according one webpage, but last step it says 'copy all the configration and certification to this created folder' I cant figure it out....
So would you give me any suggestion to do? PPTP? tried but didnt work very well...

and my account, my password
Those are the information I was given to set up PPTP or L2TP but both of them wont work.

Ok I have set up my VPN, www.vcupone.com
I downloaded openvpn-ca.cer and clein-free.ovpn
I have copied both of them to SDCARD/openvpn,
Now when I turn on the openvpn, (check the box), then it could find Client-free.ovpn, it becomes 'resolve' but only in 1 second, then becomes 'wait' ....
wait for ever....

I got this problem, when i try to play any video on youtube i t says "conection to server lost touch to retry" not only on my youtube app but on my browser when i play video that has youtube video.
I am on 3g sellular conection.
What i've do to fix it:
Uninstall and install youtube app from market
Clear data and cache youtube app
>No work
Change/reflashed rom
Change/reflashed kernel
Change/reflashed modem
>sometime i can manage it to work but when i change or reflashed it broke again and i can't fix it by reflashed again.
I' m search by google and i can't find any good solution to me. But one that says to clear data in media streaming.... Where is apps media streaming ? I cant find it on setting apps all..
Any help.. or someone had same problem ?

And it's kind a wierd because I'm connected to a wireless network and i can normaly go to internet. Please help me :crying:

-clear YouTube's data from application manager
-set time to automatic (in settings/time & date)
-make sure YouTube is available @ your country (ex. In my country its blocked!!!!)

Maybe the latest version of YouTube is not supported or completely unstable in the stock éclair ROM so I recommend you to search the Web for older version of YouTube in APK file format its totally free!
Because the latest version of YouTube app is needed the Google play services to run. That's maybe the point.

Yes! even in my X8's youtube app is works great with my new X8 that i buy 6month ago i still remember it and now No Eclair in my Device!

Youtube problem
Was this fixed? I also have the same problem. I'm using Sky Vega a820L (Korean Android phone), rooted, MIUI rom, and lately after updating my youtube app the thumbnails began not to show anymore and every time i open it it pops with the same error "there was a problem starting up. Please check your network connection and system time."
I have tried the following solutions (see below) but it never worked:
- clear cache
- clear data
- un-install/re-install app
- downloaded different versions (apk file)
please help! :crying::crying::crying:
Had the same problem on the stock version...
- tried to install Youtube for froyo !
- tried different time settings
- Changed DNS
I think the problem is relied to this version and Google servers. Because, sometimes without doing nothing, Youtube works again !!
We can say this issue is solved now :
if it's not relied to time (cause of certificate validity..) or connection problem.
Try to verify these things :
1- Check if you are using any firewall app witch may be blocking Youtube or some of google servers... Allow it
2- Like many mobile geeks, I'm sure you are using an Ad-blocking app like Adaway, disable it to restore original hosts status..
If it solved the issue,
You need to apply new filters again, and edit the hosts file that you can find in /system/etc
And remove any ads server relied to youtube or Google

I can't download any app from google play in any rom!
I can't acces all websites (eg. google.com works, bbc.com not works) , tested on all roms.
Now I reflashed stock rom, to fix this bug, but it aloso happens on stock gb

did you try to connect on both wifi and 3g ? maybe it is a problem with your google account or firewall , try disabling adfree or any adblocking app or firewall , try using another modem router , try a different browser , do you get an error message somewhere ? what is the browser saying when it doesn't let you open a page ? what is the play store error ? are other google apps working ? if it is a problem with gapps try freeing cache of google services .

My ISP, was changed DNS from static IP, without notify me.
Now all websites works
